I previously bought the same hub from Lowe’s and I returned it because I thought that it was not working properly; got kicked out of the network within a week. It was the software that needs to be automatically updated; there is in the settings a switch. I rebought it from Best Buy and had it on automatic updates. It works super!!! I wish Samsung had some info about this or from factory reset to be a default of auto updates. Hope this is helpful.

Switched over from Wink after they announced they would start charging a monthly fee. No thank you! This hub is not perfect. Often, my front door lock goes offline but that could be more the door's issue. I have seen people complain about outages, but I have not really noticed anything. Pretty reliable, boring, and solid!

After having to move from IRIS, I chose Smartthings as that seemed the closest, least expensive transition. So far I'm pleased. It would have been better had Smartthings also worked with the IRIS first generation motion and open/close sensors, but it did work with the Garage Door, and 2nd generation plugs. Setup was easy and so far its been pretty stable.

I bought this after using a Wink hub for years. When Wink decided to start charging a subscription fee I switched to this Samsung hub. So far I’ve connected my smart switches, bulbs, plugs and robo-vac with absolutely no issues. Everything connected quickly and has stayed connected. The Wink hub would periodically go off line, but so far this Samsung hub hasn’t had any issues.

This version has the advantage of not having to be hardwired into you router however you lose the battery back of feature. Smarthings platform is good especially if you are just a little bit further than just starting your smart home. It has other protocols (zigbee, zwave) so you won't have to put a ton of things on your wifi network.

I’m a former Wink’ user and changing to Samsung smart home had been great option. After several tests, I found all functions work ok, all depend on cloud services and internet. I think the device increase a little bit the usage of internet, But the response time of tge device for control commands is really good.

Bought this when Wink bricked my device by changing over to subscription service. I works well with occasional missed commands so lights stay on. It was easy to set up. If switching from Wink. Remove devices using the Wink app before switching. Otherwise you will have to reset each device individually.

Switched from wink and was able to add all my lights, locks, and garage opener with no problems within minutes. Makes me wish I had done this sooner! Added ring contact sensor with no problems either. Great hub, smart app is easy to navigate. More customization than wink. Great purchase thus far.

First off, 5 stars for working with my schlage door lock (alexa etc cant do that on her own). Dropped overall to 4 stars because the app is just very poorly designed in looks and setup. Dropped another star to 3 because the list of compatible products beyond flagship products is low. I find apps with other products and alexa is where I get the most compatibility (linking the product) and where I set up my schedules such as turning on and off products. Expected more from Samsung. Compatibility with all your products is less than ideal no matter what hub you use or what products you have but I really thought this would be better overall.

I have several Smart Home devices in my house. Originally, I used a SmartThings doogle connected to my Nvidia Shield as a hub. It eventually seemed to stop working and I replaced it with the SmartThings Hub v2. The unit couldn't have been easier to set up with the new WIFI connection feature. The hub can be placed in a centralized location now. I am very happy with the units operation.
