I have been protecting/automating my home with the SmartThings system for over a year now and it very reliable. I save money on utilities expenses and sleep sounder at night knowing I have some level of protection. It works well with a large number of ancillary devices such as security cameras and thermostats.

So far, so good. Easy to set up kitchen down lights. The hub found the lights almost immediately. Easy to find manufacturer and set color temperature (warm to cool). Looking forward to setting up more smart devices. Only reason that I did not rate 5 stars (yet), is that I only set up a few days ago. I need more time to evaluate.

I am just getting into the smart home market. I have been searching for the right hub, easy to use and connects to things I want to connect to. Being a Samsung smart phone owner, smartthings seemed like the logical choice. So far I have not been disappointed. It was really easy to setup and so far I have not had any issues with connecting things to it. It has not gone down yet (That I am aware of)

Had an Iris Hub that is, like all of them, going out of service at the end of the month. I decided to try the SmartThings first because of the low price. It has been a pleasant surprise. Good connectivity, stable platform, generally easy programming and expandability from SmartThings Community. Great value for the price.

I love my SmartThings v3 hub It’s easy to use, to setup the devices, configure the automations and scenes. Samsung support is the top. I used emails with support and they kept responding and offering assistance and guidance until I competed all my conversions and transformation from Wink. Kudos to Samsung and to Samsung support. You gave my vote.

What I like most about the SmartThings system is that it integrates nicely with so many other smart-home devices and systems. Using this hub, I can tie all of my smart-home devices together and create rules and conditions using multiple disparate systems. As a bonus, it's not Amazon or Google.

I bought this item 1 because I have a samsung phone, tv, and other products.. and 2 because I wanted to control items i.e locks, lights, etc. from my phone. I have to say this product is sometimey. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt. I have to reset it often.. Items connected are disconnected. States possible updates needed yet they are current. Once I preform a master reset all is well. Now when it works, it works well. I have accessed my door from various locations without an issue.. I went to Bestbuy they suggested I call Samsung or swap the device. We'll see ..

SmartThings helped complete my smart home Easy to setup; but interface is a little clunky It’s a great hub to run things off of The only downside is Samsung updating the system and then dropping products that were once compatible without reason

works incredibly well with my google home, but as the title says, make sure you use the correct SmartThings app to connect. I didnt realize I was using a legacy app and almost through it through the window looking for an access code. The new app, which looks like a circle connected to five other circles, will just use the camera to connect via the QR code. So easy.

I have been running SmartThings in my home since before Samsung bought the company. The system is not perfect, but what smart home product is... My V1 hub started having issues where it would lose the network connection. Bought this as a replacement and it is so much quicker in response and the Z-Wave modules work so much more reliably.

So many of these hubs act odd or act up from time to time. This one does not and I haven't had to reboot it purposefully ever. Decent range too controlling my deck lights and such. For as simple a thing as this is though, it should not be priced this high.

Maybe I'm just not as techy as I would like to be. It sets up just fine but I already had Hue lightbulbs and a Google home device. Everything was great, i wanted to integrate all of it into smart things. Now Google tells me it's turning off 4 devices when i only have 2 bulbs and it actually tells me it's turning off the room im in. Google recently updated and would simply bing to turn lights off and on in the room of the device. I bought two smart things light bulbs for 2 lamps. The power flickered off and I lost internet connection for just a split second and now the lightbulbs are disconnected and I can't get the app to recognize the scans to add them back. The motion sensor works most of the time but I would not call it reliable. I know many people love this system and I want to I just can't make it work with my stuff. It's probably me though. I just wish it was a little more user friendly. And I think it costs more than it should.

This hub enabled me to connect my Schlage door lock, SkyBell door bell, Honeywell thermostats, and LIFX lights. Create your own automations and scenes. A couple of examples - if it is night and the door bell senses motion make sure the door is locked and turn up the lights to full brightness - make sure the door is locked nightly at 11 pm

Hard to setup in the beginning, especially the wireless option but once it’s setup it’s amazing. I’m still toying with the “SmartApps section to add devices”. Truely helpful - glad it keeps updating because more could be automated. Interface could use some more features bit overall worth it!
