The fact that I can now plug anything into it, and not only turn it on or off from the app, without even being there, but also see just how much electricity its using? That's pretty cool if you ask me. I've always wanted to know just exactly how much electricity I was "wasting" by leaving my phone chargers plugged in... or any small kitchen appliance for that matter. Now I can! Pretty sweet deal for the price.

My house tends to be dark so I have a lamp on this and it is perfect. I did have to install the app, however I was able to hook all up to it- my smart bulb, my thermostat, and my camera. This was very easy to do and if I can do it??? Well, then anyone can. I am as tech un-savvy as can be.

We're sorry to hear that you were unable to get the Smart Plug to connect within the SmartThings App. Please verify that you are using the new SmartThings App, which has an icon of a circle surrounded by five smaller circles, and a 2.4 GHz WiFi connection. The Smart Plug cannot be set up from the SmartThings Classic application, but can be used through the Classic app after setup is complete.
