Did not work for our wall.

Sorry to hear that. For a steel stud wall, I would recommend either a low profile or tilt mount. A full-motion mount isn't compatible with steel studs due to the twisting and turning of the mount which can warp the studs. I was glad I have a geek squad install it as it’s pretty heavy especially with a 72 inch TV. It allows us to watch the TV in additional rooms easily.

Best TV mount I've ever had

I have a 65" 2019 Sony on there and it effortlessly moves in so many different ways. Perfect for a kitchen that is ~90° from the living room, where I can now tilt to see the picture from both rooms. The hardware is just so nice. I'm used to junk mounts from the company named after a river. My only complaint is with the cable routing. Since it has such an extreme range of motion it needs very long cables, nearby power, and/or devices mounted to the back of the TV. You may have to get creative or get all new cables. If you are dealing with high bandwidth video that will get expensive or hard to work with as cables get thicker. You included 10ft HDMI is likely not going to cut it anymore.

It was perfect for nearly every singe TV on the market except the Samsung 8K. Which of course is the one I got. That TV has a control box on one side the causes the tv to lean just a hair. I did not notice but my wife did, so we got a different bracket. When I get my outdoor TV, this is a 100% the bracket I am getting for it!

Stays out and has the ability to pull out and straighten for plugging in inputs. Finicky to setup and kept floating back away from the wall, but fine adjustments sorted that out.

As you open the package, everything you need to do is pack in order. With the template provided, the mounting was extremely easy. The only thing I disliked was the price. You do pay a premium price.
