Not a mount for TV's larger than 75 inches!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First off, I'd like to say I purchased this model and the previous version BLF228-B1 and have mounted two televisions using them. The box for this product clearly shows a max size of 75 inches. It does not indicate that it is rated for larger televisions on the box. I had intended to use the model to hang an 82 inch Samsung television, but seeing the box I decided to go with the other model. The older model BLF228-B1 does say that it is rated for up to a 90 inches and it does a great job holding up my Samsung. I used this model to hang a 65 Sony in another room. When you compare the two models side-by-side, the older model is clearly heavier and from all appearances stronger than the older model. In the store, like the website, the signage indicates that this model is acceptable for larger televisions but I believe this might be an error made by either Sanus or Bestbuy. So I would say avoid this mount if you are trying to mount a tv larger than 75 inches, go with the older model BLF228-B1, or the elite model on the website. Other than the weird sizing issue the mount is great. It was easy to mount with the instructions provided and my friend and I mounted the tv in about 20 minutes. The mount allows for a wide range of movement and can extend out around 28 inches as claimed. It is easy to adjust the angle and lock it in place. Also, the cable management in the arm is very convenient, though be sure to leave enough slack to allow movement. So overall, I would recommend this mount for anyone who wants the ability to freely move their tv left or right and be able to pull the tv away from the wall.

Not strong enough for 85 inch

It's not strong enough for an 85inch even though it's in its weight category. Poor poor score for how expensive it was!!!

Sorry to hear that. For a steel stud wall, I would recommend either a low profile or tilt mount. A full-motion mount isn't compatible with steel studs due to the twisting and turning of the mount which can warp the studs.
