Had to cut the mount to fit an LG OLED 65” B7A

This is a hulking mount and made very well. Appearance is nice as well as its articulation. I am only giving three stars because I was told by Sanus this would fit my LG OLED B7. While it does fit, I had to cut about 5 inches off of the mount that attaches to ‘tv side’. Not a huge deal but I wish the mount had more adjustment so I wouldn’t have had to cut it.

      Hi there,

Sorry to hear that you had to cut the mount. We do have a solution for you to not have to cut the mount and keep it intact as well as have it fit correctly. We would like to send you a new TV bracket along with the suggestions to mount if you are up to it. Please give me a shout at [email protected] tell them Haydn sent you.

      Thanks,

      - Haydn @ SANUS Sanus

Double Check Sanus Web Mounting guide.

Using Sanus web site measurement guide for the Best Buy model of the mount set the TV several inch to high. Sanus same mount they sell has different mounting height on their web guide which would have been correct. Sanus customer support person said just going have to lower it, 77 inch TV. TV is extended from the wall and is mounted in the room off a corridor so wall and mount is exposed, spent the money to get a extendable mount so off corded it will show holes in wall above the mount. Their customer support person basically said oh well. Before you mount their expensive mount double check the Best Buy model against theirs on Sanus web mount guide. Best thing above this review is I caught that the mount is $50.00 cheaper today then a couple of weeks ago. After talking to Best Buy, put on hold twice so the rep could talk to his supervisor. I am a Total Tech member, Elite member before Total tech and told the rep I will return it today and get a new one and they could sell this as an open box, have till May to return it. At one time BB would send you notifications and credit the difference if within the period, not now. Other than all this, the mount is great, sides accents looks great, swivels and tilts easily. For $300 more than other online mounts, I may purchase another Sanus if the application is the same as why I purchased this one for.

Great mount, but missing the PIABM-M1 part

The mount is fantastic and built very well. I bought this as my 65" TV is very heavy and I wanted to make sure it could hold it well and last. The problem I had was with my Sanus BXF230 mount with my LG OLED65C1PUB tv; the Sanus web page shows this mount and tv are supported and compatible. That is true only when you have the optional-but-necessary Sanus PIABM-M1 bracket which does not come with the mount. Upon discovering this after purchasing the mount and getting it home to install, I realized the mount and tv will not work together. I called Sanus' customer support and told him my mount/tv combination and asked why it won't work. He mentioned I was the 3rd person that week that called reporting the same issue. Sanus did send out the necessary PIABM-M1 mount for free and I was in business. Summary: just because the Sanus site says your tv and mount are compatible doesn't mean they are.

Overkill. Th tv doesn’t need such a large apparatus to function. It’s sticky. Not as sturdy as our Sony brand

Too heavy and impossible to level

It does swivel and tilt and pull away from the wall nicely. However it lacks a leveling capability. Its also quite heavy. Mine arrived with dents on both of the flip down pieces which hide the lag bolt syructure. For the price- would expect a better thought out device.
