The position of the TV can go at any angle when the mount is located on the wall. The arms give you versatility for positioning the TV. A little difficult to put together with the directions but it takes time to install. Very happy overall with this product.

Swivel Mount has Flaws
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.My Handyman attached this mount and over-torqued the Precision Screw that adjusts the horizontal tilt. Now I have a weight (literally) set on the side of the mount to keep the TV on-center horizontally. A knob for this feature would have been preferable to the tiny screw adjustment. Also, we don't get much more flexibility on this bulky model than on our less expensive 'Thin Profile' mount on a different TV.

No for 50 inch

Arm is not long enough to move away from wall to get full range of motion. Television hits wall before it can turn completely. If want full range does not work. Why advertised for 50 inch I do not know. Salesperson should have been aware when it was sold to me to go along with the television I bought at same time.

Had to adjust for fit sony tv
