When I bought this wall mount for my tv, the "most" in the "for most 40-inch - 50-inch TVs" wasn't part of the description. After consulting with a BB staffer, I bought it for a 42-inch TV. The base of the part of the mount that attaches to the TV extended more than 2 inches below my TV. Rather than return the mount and order the correct model from Amazon (since BB doesn't stock the model that Sansa recommends for my TV) I hacksawed off the part that extended below the TV. With that "hack" it works perfectly. If I had simply surfed the website of the manufacturer (Sanus) & entered the specs for my TV, I would have known that I needed a different model - - and I would have saved myself a lot of trouble.

I purchased this mount for the office break room to hold a 42" TV. Is perfect!

Purchased this mount due to a Best Buy Associate advising that it would work with my TV that I purchased at the same time (Sony Bravia KDL-48w600B). Got home and started checking the parts and putting it together. After checking and double checking and calling Sanus I was informed that the mount DID NOT fit my TV. Big thank you to Tim from Sanus for saving me some aggrivation. Though Sanus was helpful, why is it that associates working in the television department don't know what mounts fit the TV's they sell. Very irritating to have to now research something that the associates should know about and go back to the store when I have time to pick up another mount.

Fairly pricy, but a well made and strong mount. Easier to install that most mounts; attaches TV with ease.

Works exactly as we needed it to and the installation was a breeze.

This has made my television visible from any part of my apartent. it literally looks like the tv is floating on air. comes with a mini level for perfect position everytime.

This wall mount was perfect for the area that I needed to hang a tv in a business. This keeps the tv out of the reach of children and provides an angle view for customers to still see the tv.

Purchased this mount at the recommendation of the best buy sales associate. We needed a mount that would allow us to swing a 50" led tv back into the room from the corner. Mounting was easy to wall and to brackets to tv. Putting tv on mount proved a bit challenging and more difficult than any I've had over the years. Once installed tv immediately began to rotate. As a matter of fact the weight of a single hdmi cable plugged into the left side of the tv caused the mount to rotate the tv about 30 degrees. No amount of tightening the single screw in the back of the free spinning head would make it stop or even slow down for that matter. We essentially paid $180 plus tax to make a 50" led become a propeller. Not good. Went back to best buy ton discuss with them. They said they were unaware of issues. See other reviews here with same problem. Called sanus. Not only are they aware of the problem they are actively repairing the faulty mounts as we speak and replacing them for free. That's great and would be great info to share with their retailers. Taking it back and going another route. I would avoid this mount unless you have the time to wait for a new arm to be sent if you get a defective one or if you plan to use the tv swung out away from the wall just make sure you have a good prop to hold the tv level.

It is very difficult to set up because the intructions don't explain it very well
