Does Not do a good job mopping at all , it does vacuum sweep just ok took 3 tries to map my small house

I am really impressed with this vacuum/mop especially considering the price Shark is offering it. The Vacmop has the ability to work as just a vacuum, or you can click the mop attachment into the rear of the robot to get sonic mopping as well. Setup was super easy. I downloaded the Shark Clean app to my android phone and followed the instructions. After initial connection, the AI vacmop does a mapping run of your home. On this run it just uses the front mounted laser system to map the house and does not vacuum. After the first run, the app prompts you to make any corrections to the map of your house (which was impressively accurate!) and name rooms. Once you've corrected the map the app asks you if you wish to map the carpets in your home (and do some cleaning this time). The carpet detection wasn't as accurate, but it still -basically- got the carpets right. Even then, the controls to manually change the dimensions of rugs were easy to use. This cycle runs the vacuum at the lowest suction power as well, and it did a really good job at vacuuming my hardwood floors. Finally, after the two configuration tours of my home, I was able to fill the reservoir and let the Shark robot have a go at mopping my floors. It did a great job. On the medium flow setting it went through almost exactly one tank of cleaning solution to mop about 1000 sq feet. I had my eye on a few spots where my twin boys had spilled juice or other messes, and the mop was able to scrub them all away. Voice control and smart home integration have been the only disappointments with the Shark robot. Shark advertises both google and alexa integration for voice control, and I was unable to get Google Assistant to detect the shark robot on two different days, so rather than continue to spend time on it I switched to Alexa. A quick search of the web turned up reports of similar problems from other users. However, the Alexa integration worked perfectly the first time. I was disappointed that Shark doesn’t have an integration for Samsung Smartthings. It would be nice to have it trigger cleaning cycles based on the presence detection I’m already using in Smartthings. Even with the mild disappointments I give the Shark 4 stars. I can’t think of another robot vacuum at anywhere close to this price that would do as good a job at both vacuuming and mopping.

Totally waste of time... Poor connectivity to WiFi and would never show any maps or history.

Overall I like the Shark Bot and I find it very useful between deep cleanings. You can have the vac charging about 2 minutes after you remove it from the box. The quick start guide is very easy to follow and there is not a lot to put together. I enjoyed the ease of use. You then install the app and set up the vac. I then connected it to my Alexa. This entire process took me about 5 minutes with no issues. The only thing I don't like is that when you talk to Alexa you have to call it the "shark" rather than the cool name you gave your bot. After it charges for the first time you set it out on its zoning run. It runs over any space you allow it and scans for the zones/rooms. It was fairly accurate but had a hard time scanning my kitchen with the chairs and table. It had a skewed version of that zone. You can name the zones/rooms so you can set it out to clean those specific areas if you choose. That is pretty nice. I will probably have it do another scan later to see if it can capture the rooms better. I then set if off on it's first vacuum only run. It was not bad but it did not clean like I hoped it would. There were several spots of obvious dirt that it missed. It also got stuck on the kitchen chair legs and kept going back to them like it wanted to get stuck. I hope to correct this after the re-scan. I was not very impressed. I then set it loose in my back room which my dogs frequently eat and sleep. It did a better job at cleaning as there was almost no obstructions to stop it. I then filled the water reservoir and attached it with the mopping pad. I let it loose in the back dog's room again. It left the floor pretty clean and it was way better than it was. However there were some spill marks left that were there from when some beer had fallen from a previous activity. The floor also smelled like dog in some areas that had heavier traffic. It looked overall clean, but was not completely clean. It also misses the corner of the room from a vacuuming standpoint. I would say that this should serve to get you to your deep cleanings with little maintenance. You will then need to get the stick vacs and mops or steamers to get the deep clean your floors actually need. Note that I have all laminate and Pergo flooring, no carpets.

I was disappointed in the vacuum it had a mind of its own and would not complete the task.

My husband now cleans floors. If you are sick of them not pitching in, this is the best.
