Customers find value in the AI Robot Vacuum & Mop's cleaning ability and ease of use, with many praising its simple setup. However, some users experienced issues with the robot's mapping accuracy, battery life, and noise level, while others reported navigation problems and occasional malfunctions. The vacuum's performance was also a point of contention for some customers. Improvements in mapping, battery life, and noise reduction would enhance the overall user experience.

I lLove My little VacuuMMop Robot Buddy!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I lLove My little VacuuMMop Robot Buddy! The Shark AI Robot VacMop Pro, 2-1 Vacuum & Mop Robot Vac may be the next best thing to sliced bread. I simply love my little VacuuMMop robot and have grown to appreciate our partnership since I first used it in my home. Our partnership is simple in theory as I do the programming and my VacMop does all the work. I actually didn’t think it was possible to combine two chores into one, but the VacMop actually simultaneously vacuums and mops the floors and can distinguish the difference between hard floor surfaces and carpets. It is amazing how close it gets to the walls, furniture, appliances, and baseboards. It gets within millimeters of the walls, doors, and furniture. I enjoy having faith in knowing that the VacMop will get the job done right the first time, as it goes row by row cleaning every inch of my home and do not have to go back after it and do any additional cleaning. to do any pre or post-cleaning. My Shark AI Robot VacMop Pro arrived well packaged, very secure and did not sustain any damage. The box was so well designed that I am able to store the extra supples and cleaning solution in it. As soon as you open the box, you will notice stickers and startup guides and manuals that will direct you in an orderly fashion to get you up and running without delay and without issue. The Pro version comes with two sets of brushes and two sets of mopping pads; which is more than enough to get you started and so you won’t need to get replacements for a long while. A small bottle of cleaning solutions is included and has a nice clean and fresh smell, such-as when you manually map with a fragranced cleaning solution. The cleaning solution provided contains two refills in the starter bottle. There really isn’t much assembly required as the unit is whole. You simply press the brushes on and they snap in place and the pad is easy to put on as well (if you plan to map). The brushes snap right into place very easily. The latches and the connecting units work more effectively than my first robot vaccum and are more secure. The main unit has helpful stickers placed right on the main unit that guides you step by step. It appears to be well built and study. It includes a really good quick start guide and manual. I didn’t feel like I was left on an island when I first opened the box nor did I feel the need to call customer support to help me get started. The set-up is simple and easy. You can also simply scan the QR code to get the App and then the app guides you step by step. Regardless of the way you prefer to set up and learn how to use the VacMop, you can chose your prefered method, whether it be paper manual, quick start guide, or application, this unit comes with all three. The Shark app is great for getting started and it has pictorial as well as worded instructional displays. Controlling the Shark AI Robot VacMop Pro is easy as you control it via a wi-fi enabled app. The Shark AI Robot VacMop is great at mapping and avoiding furniture and walls. The unit knows when mop water is low and full and when the reservoir is attached and moves to MOP mode. As it cleaned I received a notice that the cleaning mopping solution ran out and I received notices that the dust pan needed to be emptied. I simply cleaned it out, refilled the mop reservoir and sent it back out to finish cleaning. It uses sonic mopping, combined with AI laser vision to map out your floor plan and to avoid areas you don’t want it to clean or enter. It has a self cleaning brush roll so you don’t have to worry about pet hair, yarn or string getting stuck and stopping it from running. The robot doesn’t allow itself to get stuck. I have places in my house where the floor is a little uneven under a dresser and it pretty low to the floor, yet it did not get stuck. As a matter of fact, I have ran it at least 10 times over the past week and it has never gotten stuck and needed my assistance. You have a lot of control, unlike the other one I owned. I was able to switch between lite and deep cleaning in areas that needed it most; while the robot was still working. I was also able to set the vacuum to clean the area twice in one programming. Additionally, the Shark AI Robot VacMop has a long lasting battery. My house is a little over 2,000 square feet and I wanted about a 1,000 square feet to be cleaned and it was able to complete the job and the battery did not run down, even close to two hours. In closing, I’ve owned the Shark AI Robot VacMop Pro for a week now and have used it daily. Every day that I’ve used the VacMop I have become more and more impressed. During the times the VacMop runs I find myself staring in a gaze as it effectively and efficiently cleans the floors of all the rooms I want it to clean and none of the ones I don’t want it to. I actually believe my VacMop knows my home better than I do and I’ve lived in my house for almost two decades. I lLove My little VacuuMMop Robot Buddy! If you’re tired of the daily cleaning required to keep your home clean, I highly recommend the Shark AI Robot VacMop Pro and if you have seen one working the past, you can expect this one to do a whole lot more.

A Worthy Choice
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Shark-Ninja family makes many excellent products, some of which (small appliances and vacs) I am a happy owner. So, with high expectations, I went for the new wet/dry RV2001 for use downstairs where I have wood floors and a few area rugs. It didn’t blow me away, but there is a lot to like. Some of the RV2001’s many features are: * AI Laser Vision: Shark recommends doing two dry runs to allow the vac to map the area without running into furniture, walls, etc. Having experience with bot vacs, I was surprised at how well the Shark did on the first run. No hits at all. Also, the mapping projection was remarkably close to the layout. I didn’t think so at first, so I ran the second mapping and found that it was all good. Running the vac a few days later demonstrated how accurate the mapping had been done and that the vac ran the course very well. * IQ Navigation: Working in conjunction with the Laser Vision, the navigation feature keeps the vac on track. Random running around or just going in circles is rare. * Carpet Detection: If your mapping is correct, in vac/mop mode the vac will know where there are carpets/area rugs and avoid them. To be sure it worked, my first try was using only water, just in case. No worries, it never went onto the rugs. * Vac/Mop: The cleaner tank comes with a cleaning pad already attached. Fill the tank, attach to the vac rear, and it’s ready to go. In operation, the vac first vacuums, and the mopping follows. To me, the results were pleasing. If your floor is very dirty/muddy/similar, I’m not sure the vac would get rid of that, so bear in mind it is not an industrial vacuum. Extra pads and a small bottle of cleaner are included, which is a definite plus. * Voice Operation: I much prefer voice operation to having to keep up with my phone or tablet to operate things. So, I like the voice operation, which works fairly well. If you are like me, you are an Alexa fan, so here’s a tip regarding linking the devices. In Alexa settings, go into Skills and Games (not new device set up). Search for Shark robot vacuum skill, then download and launch. For the Google folks, it will work for you, also. * Cliff Sensor: This is an important feature to prevent damage to the vac by falling down steps or stairs. Though I don’t plan to use the vac upstairs, I tried it out to see how well it would work. The vac ran a horizontal course along the step edge, never attempting to turn toward a fall. * Automatic operation programming, with day and start time easily set up in the app. * Comparatively quiet operation (especially on carpet), over an hour of battery run time, height low enough to fit under beds and other furniture, etc. While I am well pleased with the VacMop’s operating skills, it is not perfect: * Connecting to Wi-Fi should have been a snap. Set up is done via the app, and for some reason the app kept showing a failure to connect with Wi-Fi. However, the Wi-Fi icon on the vac was lit up to show it was connected, and my mesh system showed the vac to be connected and all credentials logged. Even so, the app would not let me move ahead with the remainder of the setup process. I called Shark support and, in less than 5 minutes was connected with an agent. He made a real effort to be of assistance, took me through the steps again, and got the same results. He escalated the issue for some one to call later. After an hour, I had an idea, tried it out, and the app finally showed the connection, allowing me to complete the process. * The dust bin inside design can make completely emptying it a challenge at times. There’s a “crevice” that hair or similar fibers at times must be fished out. My Shark cordless stick and other Sharks I have used are much easier to empty. All in all, Shark has produced another quality product in the RV2001WD. Now that mine is operational, I am well pleased with it so far. With its competitive pricing, it is a particularly good buy.

Disappointed
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was excited to grab a Shark robot with a wet-mop feature because we were very happy with our previous Shark robot (ION 720 w/o wifi app feature) and our traditional Shark DuoClean traditional bagless upright. Unfortunately, the Shark AI VacMop Pro RV2001WD is not living up to our high expectations set by their other products. First and foremost, the robot is SIGNIFICANTLY louder than our Shark ION 720. I was willing to watch TV in the other room while the ION randomly wandered the kitchen, dining room and hallway. I cannot listen to the TV while the VacMop is running. The device is too loud, too distracting. In fact, the first time I turned it on I assumed I forgot to take a piece of shipping tape off the robot or thought I assembled it wrong (assembly is very easy--a 5 yr old could do it) because it was so loud. Secondly, we never got the VacMop...or rather the APP...to finish processing our room map. 5 days later and I am still waiting for the map to process. I find the map processing to be rather important because unlike the ION, this device doesn't come with magnetic strips to confine or define cleaning spaces. Third, I have run the device 5 times. 3 times the AI wasn't smart enough to avoid a door stop (the kind that is like a spring screwed into baseboard). That wouldn't be a problem except my door stops are at the exact same height as the ON/OFF switch for the VacMop--resulting in the door stop tripping the on/off switch as the robot spun out of harm's way! Three of five attempts to clean my floors thwarted by a doorstop that turned clicked the robot switch to off! The one time we did get a successful dry vacuum of the room (I literally had to put up barriers to define the room space) it was 100 times smarter with its patterns than the Shark ION 720. No more random wandering--it found the perimeter of the room then moved back and forth in straight lines very efficiently. The object sensors seem improved in the VacMop compared to the ION 720 but at times almost seem TOO sensitive as the VacMop had a tendency to come upon corners only to spin and "think" a few times before moving on. One time it got frustrated and just stopped...again, near a door stop in a corner (but this time it the door stop did not hit the on/off switch). I hit the DOCK button to send it back to the charger and it only made it halfway down the hall before giving up again. Because I have had only one successful cleaning in 5 attempts, and no stored maps, I am not sure if the inability to find the charger is a fluke or not. Finally, aside from the noise and on/off switch location design flaw (a flaw from my point of view), it would appear that Shark had improved on the beater bar and brushes as well as the sensitivity of their object detection. Unfortunately, the underperforming app, the noise, and the inconsistent ability to run a full room clean with this AI robot vacuum in my home has me not recommending the Shark VacMop Pro RV2001WD. I was hoping for a set-it and forget-it, smarter app-based experience to wet clean my kitchen and dining room every other day. I am not getting the results I hoped for.

Great robot for one week
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me preface this review by saying this would get five-stars had I not had to send the vacuum back in for a warranty claim one week after receiving it. That out of the way, let's get into it. First off, I've had a previous Shark Robot vacuum before, some three years ago, and wasn't too impressed with that one. Fast forward to now, though, and the company's robots have come a long way. Let's start with the setup: very easy to assemble, instructions are quick and to the point. The only tricky part was pairing with the app to utilize wifi and cellular controls with the robot, but after a little bit of a connection issue we were all good (sometimes pairing with apps and onboard wifi can be tricky, of course.) That out of the way, the robot needs to charge for six-hours. Once charged, it will go through its automatic mapping process, where it goes through your home twice to build a room map for cleaning. After this, it will go through a third time to detect carp to avoid during mopping sessions. This function worked well, in my experience. Once these actions are completed you can tweak the map accordingly via the app. Speaking of the app, this is actually a lot better than the previous version years ago. Everything is easy to find and controls work when your robot is connected to wifi. The only annoying part from the app is the "support" section doesn't really exist; it simply takes you to their website or gives you a few FAQs to look over. Once the initial process is complete, cleaning can start. Again, please remember that the Shark robot isn't meant to replace a whole vacuum; rather, it's meant to complement and help your house stay clean in between deep cleaning sessions. The robot AI vision is very good, and never got stuck with my time with it; the only time the robot stopped cleaning was due to running over an uneven surface due to something being left out on the floor. The suction seems to be pretty good overall. Just remember to empty your bin after every clean, or you'll find that the performance will decrease. Now, the only real cons for me are the mop reservoir seems to run out pretty quickly. It can't finish my downstairs area (roughly 800 sq ft) on one tank. The second is that I had to send the vacuum back for a warranty claim, which I'm still waiting to get my replacement back. This all said, I was very impressed with everything so far. As long as the warranty department comes through, I would highly recommend this vacuum.

Great Vacuum, Not So Great Mop
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I anticipated getting this robot vacuum like Ralphie in “A Christmas Story” wanted his Red Ryder BB Gun. I have always wanted one since vacuuming is the bane of my existence. Mopping is also something I don’t particularly enjoy. Enter this Shark AI Robot VACMOP, the answer to my wishes, a possible dream come true. First of all, as a vacuum it is quite good—it has really good suction (on all surfaces, carpets and hard floors), picks up a lot, has an adequately sized bin. However, it does not have automatic emptying of that bin, and its edge cleaning leaves a bit to be desired. I paid particular attention as to whether or not it would pick up hair and crumbs well because in my family of five, there are three of us who are girls with long hair, and there are three kids who tend to leave crumbs in their wake daily. It passed the hair and crumbs test with flying colors…unless they were next to walls/edges sometimes. But as to the “sonic” mopping feature…thank goodness this can be used with the mop feature unattached because it just didn’t mop very well. I didn’t expect it to be able to scrub off really stuck on dirt/spills/etc., but even when our hard floors were only lightly in need of mopping, it didn’t do too good a job. The “mapping” feature in the app worked a majority of the time but there were times the robot vacuum would go rogue (in either vacuum or mop mode), making me think the rise of Skynet was coming, but I would remap our rooms and it would humbly go back to placidly vacuuming in its nice lines. It does do a good job of avoiding objects in its path; it’s quite neat to see it in action. I would say that it is quite loud, but hey, I’ve yet to experience any typical vacuum of any make/model that is quiet or even semi-quiet. As long as it does the job without me having to push and pull and lug around a typical vacuum, constantly getting things out of the way and putting them back in place, I’m all for it. But I would definitely NOT get this for the mopping feature—which is what makes it more expensive—I would opt for the models that are only vacuums. That is the reason that I’m giving it only 3/5 stars, and not recommending it, for while it’s a superb vacuum, its other major feature—mopping—is subpar.

Innovative Floor Cleaning Appliance Performs!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Shark - AI Robot VACMOP™ PRO RV2001WD, Wi-Fi Connected, Robot Vacuum & Mop with Self-Cleaning Brushroll is an advanced robotic appliance that vacuums the floor simultaneously as it mops. Having just installed new flooring in the basement, I decided to try my first Shark product there. MY PRIOR ROBOTIC EXPERIENCE: I own 3) 3-Year old Top-of-the-Line Robotic Vacuums & 2) 3-year old Top-of-the-Line Robotic Vacuums. The robotic vacuums I had were not effective at mopping; they simply moved about the room with a stationary mop pad underneath. The vacuums bumped into things & would often fail to return to their charging base. SHARK OPERATIONAL OBSERVATIONS & PROCEDURES: 1- Recyclable Packaging is Environmentally Friendly 2- Shark uses first rate materials: For example, ABS is used throughout the Robot; ABS Plastic is virtually indestructible. 3- Extremely Simple Instructions that are easy to follow. 4- Shark solved the perennial problem of making sure the robot can find it's way home to the charging base & make electrical connections. They included a round, black plastic platform that cradles the charging station that provides a smooth path, regardless of carpeting, tile, vinyl, or any type of floor. This is a brilliant solution that eliminates one of the main weaknesses of their largest competitor. 5- The Shark maps your room twice: once to create a drawing that shows walls & obstacles. You then accept it or make changes. It discovered 5 rooms which I consider are actually 2) rooms because of the wall design. Simply name the rooms & click on the common rooms and select "Merge". Now I have 2) rooms mapped out & named. 6- The Shark maps your room again, searching for carpet. It located my only carpet & created a dotted line in that area, so the mop would avoid the carpet. 7- Select ECO, Standard, or High Output on both the vacuum and the mop by the free Phone App. Select standard or high level liquid flow from the mop. 8- To only vacuum & not mop, simply leave the mop attachment off & press clean on the robot or on the Phone App. The robot cleans & returns to the base. 9- To Mop, fill the mop container (very easy to do) with liquid cleaner (included) or water, then snap it onto the robot at the 2) clearly marked places. This takes 2 seconds to fasten it. See a water droplet illuminated in white on top of the Robot that confirms the Mop is properly installed. 10- Press Clean on the Robot or on the Phone App. The Robot waits 30 seconds as it fills the Mop Pad with the precise amount of liquid needed. Then it vacuums & mops simultaneously. When it mops, it sonically moves the Mop Pad, which is analogous to moving your hand on the floor. It is much more effective than simply dragging a stationary mop pad around. The Robot never touches a wall or an obstacle; the built-in laser guided navigation system is amazing & really works. 11- When finished, the Robot returns to it's charging station & recharges. 12- I drove across town & was able to control all aspects of the Robot from the Phone App remotely, just as if I was at home. SHARK VACMOP EFFECTIVENESS: My wife arrived home & saw the mopped floor, where she had just decorated a Christmas Tree, leaving glitter everywhere. There was no glitter visible anywhere. The floor had a freshly mopped appearance. The glitter was all in the 1 quart-sized dust bin. This VacMop Pro is amazing! SUPPORT: I had one minor issue: from the beginning, no liquid would make it's way from the liquid chamber to the Mop Pad, so the mopping was only dry mopping. I called Shark. They answered quickly & escalated my case to the 3rd level, who promised to call me back within 24 Hours & promised my complete satisfaction. Before Shark called me back, I fixed it myself. You can see 2) tiny hoses in the bottom of the clear liquid container; they look like they could possibly be clogged by the package being banged around during shipping. So I emptied the cleaning solution & filled the liquid chamber with hot water. I closed the cleaning chamber lid, then shook it vigorously. I poured out the hot water & repeated this procedure 2) more times. I refilled with the cleaning solution, set the MopVac Pro to mop & it completely solved this minor issue. The mop leaves behind just the right amount of liquid that you specify on the Phone App. CONCLUSION: I am so impressed by the Shark VacMop Pro, i ordered a second unit today for our upstairs. This is one fantastic performer & earns my Highest Recommendation!

Favorite robot yet
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I don’t normally write reviews, but I had to share how much I like this robot, I think it’s the best robot yet. Not sure why it has so many negative reviews but I haven’t had any problems compared to my last robot. I owned one of the cheap iRobot robots that we got on sale.It doesn’t clean all my rooms and gets lost all the time, but I love the convenience of not having to vacuum every day so I thought I would upgrade. I own other Shark products so thought I’d try this one. This cleans way better and I can use the app to do all sorts of neat things. It’s loud but not terrible. All in all a keeper and I’m going to get one for my Mom as a gift

So convenient and great for home with kids and pet
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am a first time robot user and I’m glad I took the plunge. I have 2 small kids and a dog, and so between pet hair and crumbs/dirt on the floor, it can be a constant battle to keep the floors clean. This had no problem picking that all up and running it everyday on a schedule has meant its one less thing to worry about! The dirt collector is always full, it’s surprising how much this thing picks up. I have mostly wood floor with a couple of rugs, and I have other Shark products so I thought the Shark vacmop version would be the best choice. I have only used the mop a couple of times but the floor looks shiny and smells nice. It didn’t clean a couple of dried stains but it took me some scrubbing with my swiffer to remove those so wouldn’t expect it to. wish I had more options for cleanser, like one with disinfectant. Pros: Cleans well Map function is nice to select rooms and add areas not to clean Finding carpets was difficult to set up but when I used it to mop it’s cool to watch it avoid the carpets automatically No hair on roller is nice! Cons: It gets stuck sometimes (I blocked the areas) Took a couple of tries to connect to the app and to get the map with carpets. My house is around 1000sqft so took 2 days to get it set up Wish it has more cleanser options It can be very loud, I ran it in Eco mode when I needed to run it during nap time but would prefer not to. Overall I am very happy with my purchase and it’s a like a new member of the family!

Wow!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What an amazing vacuum. I love it. Works just like a regular vacuum. I like that I can just let it go around and vacuum for me instead of having to pull out a traditional vacuum plug it in hold the cord to go around my home. Program this shark robot and watch it do it’s thing. Cleans up really well. I have carpet and tile floors, works for easy messes.

Bad Christmas Present
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have owned two Shark Robot vacuums. This one and a self-empty one. I had no problems with my self-empty one, my dog decided to poop on the floor and the vacuum ran over it. So we had to toss it because it was beyond cleaning. Anyways back to this one, I took it out of the box around 10 pm to get it connected to the wifi and get it charged. It took over 2 hours to get it connected to my wifi network. I was pretty tired after all that, so I waited till the morning to let it explore. In the morning I let it explore and it did that for about an hour or so. I went back into the app to check on the map and it said it was finished but no map was showing up. After several restarts on the app, I had given up and deleted the map and ran the explore about 3 more times because of the same issue. After two full days of messing with the robot to even get it set up I have finally given up and now am returning it to the store. I was so looking forward to this being the perfect gift for my wife so she does not have to vacuum and mop all the time. But I guess we are just going to have to go back to the old mop and broom.

Avoid for mopping or long term reliability
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Mop stopped working after about a year, it wouldn't dispense the floor cleaner and a little after 2 years the unit will leave the base spin in a circle and stop. Bad start but getting better every day!

They seemed to have updated the app and now it works much better! Would have given it 3 stars if I hadn't waited. Small complaint is the carpet mapping, it took too long. I chose this unit for the mopping feature and I couldn't use it straight away. Love the schedule function and the fact it doesn't bump into things like my old robot.

Just works
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This vacuum is an awesome combination mop/vacuum with excellent AI capabilities. The mapping and set up takes a bit of time, but if you set it up right, it will make your life so much easier. My only wish is that the mop fluid resivour would be bigger.

Glad I purchased

After reading about it, I had to purchase and see for myself. The robot works amazing in my home (mostly hard floor). I like how it seems to really know where it's going and doesn't bump into everything like other robots out there. It mapped my house easily and was pretty accurate when done. I love the smell of my freshly mopped floors also with the cleaning solution. Just when I think my floors are already clean, I look at the mopping pad and it's black, which is a good thing!
