Writing this review to alert potential buyers to avoid this product. The "intelligent" portion of this product is the core of the problem. This model has a defective Wi-Fi receiver that stops working days/weeks after initial configuration. Therefore this product cannot clean according to the map as promised, nor remember cleaning cycles or have remote initiations. The problems seem to be recurring to many customers as with a simple online search you can find many users suffering with the same issues. Please avoid this product or if you decide to take a risk please buy an extended warranty to cover for this problem.

Once you get past the initial frustration of creating an account, this is an excellent robot vacuum. Let’s start with that setup process. Setup is done through the mobile app, except I found that once I had created my account, it told me no such account existed, then when I tried to create it again, the app told me the account was already in use. Rinse, lather, repeat. I finally got the account to work by going to the website. While the website recognized my new account, it did not accept the correct password. I reset the password through the website, then used the new password in the app. This was a frustrating runaround that took nearly half an hour. Once setup is complete, you can start using the vacuum, but it will want to map your home first. Using this map, you can select problem spots that you want it to pay special attention to using a more powerful suction setting. If it gets stuck, you can use the map to locate it. And, if there’s a specific problem, like a spill, you can send it straight to that room. Once you do start vacuuming you’ll notice how quiet it is. It’s so quiet in normal mode that if it’s under a bed, I have to check to see if it’s still working. It navigates the house very well, with large wheels that help if climb over uneven surfaces like rugs with ease and a laser guidance system that steers it around obstacles. Note that even with the lasers, it will still bump into things like table legs. Cleaning is where this unit really shines. We have two large dogs in a small house, and the loose hair accumulates quickly. I first used it after our house had been hand-vacuumed 24 hours earlier with a Dyson Animal, and the Shark picked up a lot of dog hair. When the Shark is done, there is no visible dirt or hair except in corners. When its internal basket is full, it returns to the docking station and empties itself out (the only loud part of the process). After emptying, it resumes cleaning. While Shark says “up to 60 days” between emptying the cleaning bin, with the aforementioned dogs I found it to be a few days. The brushes are designed to avoid getting hair wrapped around them and so far, they do an excellent job. The WiFi connection was very simple and works well. You can control the unit using the app from anywhere you have a connection. So, if you want the house vacuumed before you get home, just press the button in the app. This is a great unit, and I highly recommend it.

This was an open box and I did not order an open box. I never got a chance to use it because I sent it back I will be re-ordering another one hopefully it will not be an open box product.

1.Doesn’t connect with wifi. 2.not easy to use 3.when it does connect it will disconnect randomly

Worked great for 10 months then stopped working. I really like this machine and would like to know how to fix it. I haven't found a warranty on it yet.

Like the title states, we bought it, charged it, mapped the house, scheduled it and now pet hairs are gone. Without thinking about it …

Not great for carpets and the navigation was not the best. Definitely worth it if it's on sale and you're looking for a cheaper Roomba solution. I ended on the roborock S7 maxV

Had roomba for many years and it always got stuck under my couches. The Shark sits higher up and it’s never gotten stuck! Love it

Liked it so much, got 2. Have hard wood floors and animals. They both run twice a day and get that extra hair that floats around.

I really love this vacuum. It was easy to connect, the app works well and the robot does everything the ads say it will do.

This is the most complicated piece of equipment I have ever seen. I keep receiving error messages. When I try to respond to them, whatever the message was doesn’t apply. I have an appointment next week for a service tech to come back out. Maybe it needs to be remapped or it could just be the unit from hell as it has made my life miserable.

To be completely honest if you use just the app its not a bad robot but when you try and use Alexa its the worst experience of my life and that was the whole reason i bought the vacuum. everything else about the product was great but don't advertise you work with something when you don't its false advertisement

Worked good for 6 months and now the wifi wont connect. after resetting it itll back out and try to run and then stops and then wont work.

Vacuum ok and self empty is OK it’s just not what we expected when we bought it.

Don't clean the corners well and it walk next the things that need to take it and skip it

Honestly this vacuum is great but it is rough on the floors

Constantly gets lost on it's way back to the dock and does endless loops. Scheduling is awful and it refuses to let me chose a setting. It just automatically comes out on "normal" or possibly even "eco" mode because it's definitley NOT max. Way too much random weirdness with this and it's not my first Shark but it is my last. At least my handheld has held up... this thing is a nightmare. Any honeymoon phase you have with it will quickly wear off.

So far the vacuum does a nice job. There is no option of making more than one floor, so you need to just manually place it in areas that aren’t mapped.

Worked great until the wi-fi decided to die. Shark’s customer service is awful, so I am just returning it to the store and getting a new one.
