This vacuum is pretty good. Automatically chnaged modes when going from flooring to throw rugs and carpet. Just a little strong on the throw rugs sucking up the corners if you dont do it right. Have it down now. lol when you go to carpert it leads and pulls you like a self propelled lawn mower, so that is nice.

Great power, the sensors are helpful, and the odor neutralizer is great! Wonderful vacuum! It really sucks!!

This is our first new vacuum in n over 15 years and this thing blew our mind. We had a Shark before but this thing is next level. If you live with girls and have a problem with hair on the carpet or hated cutting it off of the roller on the vacuum, this is your best friend. Very powerful but even better the hair does not stick to the rollers! Trust me, just buy this thing!

What an awesome vacuum, especially if you have animals! I had a Dyson previously and had swept the carpet with it before going back over it with my Shark and the amount of dirt and hair I got off the carpet was astounding. I love how light weight and easy it was to move around and the odor neutralizer is an added bonus. Highly recommend this vacuum!

I have always been a canister person, however, they are hard to find. So when my last vac broke down, I needed something right away. The Shark - Detect was on-sale for an unbelievable price, so I went for it! I was stunned at the amount of dirt that came out of my carpeting! It even took out what I thought was a stain I would have to scrub. The real downsides of this vacuum are that the hose is very short and not very easy to use. It's very hard to use on area rugs, which is really disappointing. Most annoying of all is the cord doesn't stay in the holder on the wand so it's in the way all the time unless you hols it out of the way. But it does a great job on caroeting and hard floors, is easy to manoeuvre and empty, and takes up less space in my closet than my old machine.

The best vacuum I have ever owned. It picks up so much hair and it doesn’t get wrapped around the brush rolls thank god! In a house with two girls and corgi that is amazing! The suction is fantastic as well!

Great suction. Leaves carpets looking new and refreshed. I own a husky and this unit picks up any and all hair left behind by my Dyson.

I really have enjoyed using this vacuum. Easy to maneuver. I really like how it detects the dirtier areas on the rug and boosts its power to clean better when it detects the dirtier areas especially around the edges of the walls . Picks up the cat hairs on the floor very well and I'm very satisfied with this purchase. I highly recommend it !

I think this is the best vacuum I’ve ever had which might not be saying much but with two pets with white hair, I needed to make a change for the better. This pivots, sucks, and has made my eyes pop at how much dust it picks up along with hair.

I have a lot of dogs and go through a lot of vacuums. This Shark seems to have quite a bit of power behind it and has worked very well in its first month. The self propel function is no joke, which is a nice change from prior vacuums. Canister removes easily. Would buy again.

I love this vacuum! It propels itself and takes out the "big effort" to push it over high pile. I also like the automatic adjustment from carpet to flooring. It does a great job! Money well spent.
