Great Robot For Everyday Cleaning
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been impressed with the Shark stick vacuum’s performance, so I was very interested in how a daily robotic vacuum would operate. Long ago when the first Roomba came to market, I was not impressed with the technology and thought a robotic vacuum was more of a novelty. This vacuum changed my opinion after seeing how far the technology has come. Setup The directions were pretty straightforward and easy to follow. I charged the robot, downloaded the app, and connected it to my WiFi network. I linked the vacuum with Google Home, using Google Assistant. At first I had a difficult time locating the vacuum in the Google Assistant App until I realized I had my Google Home setup on the 5GHz network and not the 2.4GHz network, which the vacuum uses. As for physical setup, there is a boundary tape included to prevent your robot from getting stuck in places or falling down the stairs. Cleaning There are 3 buttons on the top of the robot: Clean, Dock, and Spot. It is nice to have these simple buttons on the robot just in case you don’t have your phone within reaching distance. I noticed the vacuum does a great job maneuvering around obstacles and ensuring that every possible inch of floor has been vacuumed. The sensors do an awesome job of preventing it from running into things. It cleans great on the carpet, but I noticed the side brushes would fling away items such spaghetti noodles on hardwood floors. The vacuum would eventually vacuum it up, but don’t expect it to get everything in the first pass. I was surprised at how much long hair it vacuumed up with very few strands around the brushroll, since I normally have to cut a lot of hair from my other vacuum brushrolls. App/Alerts/Google Assistant The App is well thought out. You can control multiple robots and set schedules for each. I like how I can either receive notifications that the vacuum is stuck via the Shark App or have it send me an email. I am not sure if it sends a notification when the dust bin is full since I never received one, but that would be a nice feature. I did find that using Google Home was a little difficult. There are a limited number of phrases that are recognized as valid commands. I found it clunky to command, “Tell Shark to start my robot,” and then a “Shark Assistant” would answer. I don’t understand why “Tell Shark” is required or why a different Assistant other than the one Google uses has to be in charge of the robot. I would recommend this vacuum if you are finding it hard to keep your floors clean in between weekly or biweekly cleaning. It does an amazing job at cleaning close to the baseboard and vacuuming about every inch of flooring. With all the included technology, it is the best bang for you buck for a robotic vacuum.

It works on clear floors but gets stuck
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's a cool device. The app is easy to use, scheduling is simple and the vacuum works as it should-- you get clean floors. However, you need to have clear floors. Clear, meaning, there are's any bigger pieces such as flip flops, semi-thick carpets, and such. I sometimes come home that I cannot open my front door because it got stuck with my shoes and moved them in such a way that it blocked fully opening my door, sometimes it takes forever to dock itself because of odd obstructions such as stools. If you need your floors to be cleaned up, it does its job of picking up those usual dirt that you want your vacuum to get. But you have to make sure your home is clear of other objects that can disable it.

After 1 year, wheels go bad and won't work!
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had two of these. They work nicely until they don't. The wheels/wheel motors go faulty right around the 9 month mark and Shark does not sell the wheel replacements and will not help in any way after they comply with their 1 year warranty period. These should have a two year warranty minimum for the price. Any good reviews here are most likely from owning it less than 1 year. After two of these, I will not be a returning customer to Shark. Save your money and frustration.

Great little robot Vac
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really like this Vac, its bang for your buck for sure It does a wonderful job of picking up the dog hair, I was actually surprised of how much it actually picks up.. It also does a really good job of picking up the find debris such as dust, dirt and sand. I have used my upright directly after a robot cleaning just to see how much more I would get up and honestly I was surprised that it was minimal. I have used the app and scheduled timer and so far it works great. I love that you can start it and stop it away from home. Its great thati can get alerts on what it's doing and what is wrong with the robot vacuum when it’s not working. The magentic tape is great that it comes with. It bumps into the magnetic tape and keeps on doing it’s job. It has a low profile clearance though so it can go under my futom and other things that have a higher clearance where a lot of dust and hair or not accessable with an upright vacuum. You do need quite a clear floor for this to work well It can take a while to find it’s base when running out of battery as it searches for the lights from the base. It can easily clean my two bed one bath apartment, im just under 900 sqft and have yet to had it drain before its finished.

Powerful, No-Nonsense Robot Vacuum, Cleans Well!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Robot vacuums are now a part of every major vacuum cleaner manufacturer’s product line. They are the fastest-growing segment of the vacuum industry and the performance of the new models has greatly improved compared to those first introduced fifteen years ago. Prices have dropped and are now competitive with traditional vacuum types. Why consider any robot vacuum? Well, besides the obvious advantage of hands-free operation, if you hate dragging out a heavy machine or finding a way to shove it back into a crowded closet, robot vacuums solve those problems too. SharkNinja (formerly EuroPro) has become well-known for creating lower priced consumer products which attempt to incorporate the best features of the most expensive brands. The Shark ION 750 Robot Vacuum is their newest entry in the robot vacuum category. The Shark ION 750 is very well-packaged. The box contains form-fitting shock-absorbing materials and the vacuum itself is carefully covered with protective plastic on all important surfaces. When you remove the Shark ION from the box you will be impressed by the quality of its finish. It looks like the sophisticated high-tech device that it is, but it also looks very solid. The main driving wheels have a thick rubber tread and are about 5/8” wide so it gets excellent traction. The color is a nice combination of deep silver and black. The power/charging light is a deep blue set of three bars which indicate the state of charge. The lithium-ion battery takes about three hours to fully charge and then it provides about one hour of vacuuming power. Packed in the box in addition to the robot vacuum, there is a power station dock, a set of side-sweeping brushes, 9 feet of “BotBoundary” strip, 2 BotBoundary connectors, an instruction manual and a quick set-up guide. Setting up the Shark ION Robot 750 is really easy. Position the power station dock against a wall and plug it in. I put mine under a low table along one wall. That meant that the vacuum would be hidden while on its charging base but always ready for action. Then strip off the protective plastic from the vacuum, snap on the two side-sweeping brushes, turn on the power switch on the side of the vacuum and you are ready! It was pretty intuitive to assemble and once you do, pressing the “Clean” button on the unit brings the robot to life. It smoothly pulls away from the charging dock then begins quietly vacuuming your floors and carpets. The Shark ION is about 2.6” tall and slightly under 13” wide so it will easily travel under most furniture and between chair legs. It is quiet (about the same noise level as an electric razor) and makes a low purring noise as it travels around the room. For those who own pets you know that most dogs regard vacuums are their mortal enemies and feel the irresistible need to bark and snap at them as you try to clean the carpet. But my little dog just calmly watched the Shark zig-zag around the room, followed it for a while but apparently decided that it posed no danger to her family or her home! No barking!!! But how well does it clean? Hardwood and tile floors – A+, carpets – B on first pass, but that improves to an A if you use it every day. And that is the essence of the appeal of robot vacuums – they enable effortless vacuuming on a daily basis. You probably would never pull out a traditional vacuum every day but setting up the Shark ION Robot 750 for daily use is very easy. Shark provides a nice (free) app for your smart phone or tablet (iPhone or Android.) It allows you to wirelessly connect to the vacuum, control it, schedule cleaning sessions, monitors usage, gives access to the owner’s manual and provides troubleshooting tips. You can even use the app to find your robot vacuum in case it has wandered off into a closet and disappeared. The app also gives Amazon’s Alexa the ability to control the Shark ION. In my condo I have a mixture of hardwood floors, granite floors and one carpeted bedroom. There are thresholds between several of the rooms because some of the floors are at slightly different heights. The Shark ION effortlessly drove around the apartment, climbed over the thresholds and diligently vacuumed every available open space. My condo is pretty large so I closed off some rooms and let the vacuum concentrate on specified rooms each time. An alternative to a physical barrier is the use of the included BotBoundary. It is a thick plastic strip with a magnetic center which can be placed across the boundary of areas which you want to keep the vacuum from entering. You can cut it to match the width of doorways and leave it in place permanently. I thought my apartment was pretty clean at the start, but after about 30 minutes I checked the internal dust collection bin and was surprised to see that it was full. Every time I started the robot vacuum it found more dirt, dust, hair than I would have thought possible. The fact that the Shark goes under couches, dressers, tables and chairs probably accounts for the impressive amount of dirt it collects. It has infrared sensors which keep it from banging into walls and furniture; it just slows down as it approaches a barrier and turns away – pretty cool! After vacuuming, remove the large dust bin, flip it open and dump it into a waste basket. I would suggest rinsing out the collection bin after every three or four uses. The Shark has a hepafilter which will remove allergens, pollens and fine dust. The roller brush has an interesting “self-grooming” detangling system to keep hair from wrapping around the brush. The roller brush removes easily and it was no trouble to clean off any trapped dirt or hair that escaped the detangler. Operation is very easy. Either press the “Clean” button on the vacuum or on the app and the robot vacuum will start working, feeling its way around your home, going under or around your furniture and making multiple passes over all surfaces. When the battery level drops to a certain level the vacuum will automatically return to the charging dock. You can also press the “Dock” button to cause the vacuum to end the cleaning operation and return to the power base. You can also select a “Spot” cleaning mode which will give intensive vacuuming in a spiral pattern for about 10 minutes. I do have to say that robot vacuuming is not perfect. Due to its round design it really can’t get into every corner and while the side brushes will catch most of the dirt in those corners some follow-up hand cleaning will be necessary. It has more difficulty with deep pile carpeting than a traditional vacuum but for low pile and bare floors it will do a fine job. Overall, you should be very impressed by the quality of the Shark ION 750 and will appreciate its unobtrusive, automatic cleaning efforts in your home.

Poor quality!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I will be returning! This is the second one I have owned. The first one started acting strange after 4 months but a reboot fixed my issues by removing the battery. This one which I recently bought only worked well the first few days! Now it makes an awful racket on carpet and sometimes on hardwood! I took the brush out and didn’t see anything wrong, cleaned it out because hair had already got around rotation areas at the ends and this didn’t fix the problem. It barely picks up and sounds like a car with a bad clutch! Very disappointing!

Nice way to keep a room clean on a schedule
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I find this little robot vacuum cleaner to do the job you would expect, if your expectation is just a daily vacuum equal to a quick sweeping. This little droid does a very good job in a room/rooms of getting the general daily dirt that comes in and saves me from having to sweep. Its autonomous and just gets on with it's cleaning. I just occasionally have to help it out if I a thin cord is left where it can sweep it up. Otherwise in the room I have it in, it doesn't get stuck and gets on with it. The Vacuum for the size of the bot is surprising effective and I just have to remember to empty it out. The robot part does its job and I'm happy with it. The cons of this bot are two fold. One not enough bot barrier is included, at least for my needs, would have been thrilled if they included 3x as much and the Application. Yes they have an application, but it seems early days. It gives good basic information and updates me when I need to empty the dirt trap etc. but I would like it more if the app had more direct information. When I got an alert that said it needed to clean the cliff sensors and give me a link to how to, it just took me to the top of the page and I had to search within. It would be nice if it went directly to what is needed to be done. I'm sure over time they will add more information, direct linking and make the bot better. Fingers crossed. However if you have a few rooms that you want swept daily and cleaned and not too many things like cords on the floor this is the device for you.

Shark Attacks In An Awesome Way!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Shark Ion Robot 750 is a very good cleaning tool. This is my first robotic vacuum as a result, I was anxious to try it out to see what it can do. Firstly, I downloaded the app, for my Samsung smart phone from the app store. While this was easy to do, I am a little weary in so many gadgets needing apps to be downloaded. My phone is all most to capacity because of electronically controlled apps, but that is another story. The performance of this vacuum did not disappoint! I have a cat that is in and out of my house all day long; as a result, he sheds hair all over the place. The Ion Robot did a great job in retrieving my cat’s shed hair. Also, it has great control when vacuuming. I will confess, I am still in the learning curve of getting to know this product, but thus far, I am quite pleased with its performance, cleaning features, usefulness and cost.

Excellent robotic vacuum
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Shark Ion robotic vacuum has quite amazing traits. The suction power is plenty. I ran the vacuum in the living room after the room had been vacuumed. The room has many obstacles, including dead ends, rugs over carpet, and an extension cord on the ground. Not only did it traverse the entire space without incident, it also half filled the dust bin. Speaking of which, the vacuum is extremely easy to clean. The dust bin removes easily, where it can be brought to a wastebasket to be dumped. After recharging, I took it to my shop, which is clean for a shop, but not spotless. Concrete floors with rubber mats placed around. Many obstacles, and the only issue was it got stuck under a treadmill. I just put some stuff around it prevent the Ion from getting under it. Problem solved. The unit also comes with some heavy flexible tape to place where you want to keep the robot from crossing. I haven’t tried it yet, as I haven’t figured out where to use them. Closing doors does a good job of limiting the devices range. Speaking of range, the battery appears to last through 3 complete cleanings of about one hour (the standard clean cycle) before needing a recharge, although it goes back to the charge base after each cycle. I couldn’t believe what it picked up in the shop! I ran it twice more, and the bin was half full each time. Shark has provided an app you can download that tells you what the problem with the robot might be if it stops, or will play a noise to help find it. The app also provides the ability to set a schedule for once a day for each day of the week. Overall I am very impressed with this vacuum.

Should be a 5
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Honestly, this is a great robo vac. I dropped a star due to customer support for their web page. I have a few Ninja products and a couple Sharks. So I had a account for their site. As of August 27, they forced everyone to reset password. Problem is, the reset failed. My account became locked. I had to wait 24 hours to configure because no support person could unlock my account. After that 24 hours... It took 30 seconds to configure and connect to WiFi. The vac is great. The setup is easy. I only wish there were more controls in the app. I want to drive it. A interesting thing. Rather than a invisible wall, which usually fail, this has a ribbon that is a physical barrier. You can attach the ribbon barrier to a throw rug to move it where you want it. The robot seems to be lower profile than another brand we had that got stuck under the entertainment center. All in all, this is a really nice unit.

It's a Clean Sweep!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first robot vacuum and color me impressed! It's perfect for those routine maintenance cleans you get too lazy to do – just set it and forget it. Then, those days when you want a powerful upright vacuum to do the deep clean, it will be a lot faster. PROs • Easy to use. No programming required. • Quiet • Simple to clean and detangle hair • Low profile allows it to get under furniture, beds, etc. • Box includes magnetic strips to create boundaries if you need them. CONs • Misses some small sections of a room. Instructions say the vacuum will eventually cover the entire area after several cleanings. Alternatively, you can set it to spot clean specific parts. • Related to above, the first pass repeats certain sections rather than covering new ones. • Dust bin can be messy to empty, though this is probably true for all bagless vacuums. The Shark ION ROBOT 750 should be on your short list.

Great Robot for Smaller Spaces
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Unboxing the shark ion 750 was very simple and the set up was also very easy. Just take off all the film and snap on two brushes and charge. That's it and after 3 hour charge time your robot is ready to go. The app registry was also simple. Set the email you want to use and create a password and then watch a quick video to help you set it up. I say its good for smaller spaces because the mapping is random. It doesn't learn a pattern and use it every time. Each time it cleans it tries to go to new places so different areas are cleaned each day. If you have a smaller space to clean such as a bedroom or living room and contain it to that room it cleans most of the room every time it cleans. I let mine roam the whole house a few times and I just was not getting a good enough clean that I was looking for. But once I closed my bedroom door and trapped it in there my room floor has been clean everyday. It even gets under my night stand and dresser. And under my bed has never been so clean. Just make sure you hide your loose wires such as charging cables because it will suck it up and stop cleaning until you remove the blockage.

Not worth the stress
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've spent more time sending this product back to Shark than actually using it. Impressed!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review. I had high hopes for this product, and it rose to them. The vacuum works great on both carpeting and laminate, and was very easily able to travel between the different flooring types, plus area rugs. Suction was great, and picked up debris left behind from an upright vacuum! The ONLY thing I was unimpressed with was the app. Probably 95% of the time, the app wouldn't connect with the vacuum - this very well could've been an issue with the wifi signal, as we had been having issues with our internet speeds, but thought it was worth mentioning in case it was not our internet. Overall, though, I would totally recommend!

Nice alternative to the "other" brand!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me start of by saying I have never owned one of these units. I was totally a newb with this type of vacuum. That being said, this unit is fairly impressive. From the ease of setting it up to the quality of the unit itself has been a pleasant surprise. The app works great and is very easy to use. Vacuum performance seems to be very good. That being said I don't currently have any pets in the home which cuts down on hair tremendously. I do have a teenage daughter though! The vacuum works great as far as keeping things cleaned up. It seems to get up next to edges of the wall very well and it is low enough to get under my cabinets bases and end tables in the living room. Emptying the unit and maintenance is simple and honestly, I don't have anything to complain about right now. I'm very pleased with it and highly recommend it.
