I've used a number of Shark vacuums over the years but have always wanted to try a "robot" vacuum. Luckily I recently received a Shark ION 750 App Controlled Robot Vacuum. As with the other Shark products, packing is well thought out and protects the unit while being shipped. It was easy to unbox and setup of the physical unit took less than 2 minutes. I set up the charging unit and put it on to charge while downloading and familiarizing myself with the Shark ION ROBOT app on my iPhone 6 Plus. There is a good tutorial video when you sign up for the app. Once the unit is fully charged, just hit the "+" button on the app and follow the steps to set up the wifi and setting. Now for the fun part...using the robot! It's pretty amazing how far technology has come, that you can setup and manage a robot vacuum from your phone. The unit is relatively small and lightweight, yet sturdy enough to handle anything my open concept dining room kitchen could throw at it. I had read about the unit not fitting under the cabinet edge, but it did fit under ours, so it did a great job of cleaning all of the small crumbs and such that tend to build up everyday in the kitchen. The unit ran for about an hour and a half and then put itself back on the charger. I checked the bin to see the results and was amazed (and a little disgusted) by the amount of stuff it had actually picked up! Emptying the bin is pretty straight forward. It's set up to run daily when my wife and I are at work (and our dog is at doggy daycare). It really does a great job of keeping the area clean, but still needs a full cleaning on the weekends regardless. So far, no problems with the physical unit or the app. I'm sure there will be more features/controls added as Shark continues to build on their "Robot Army". Overall it's a great addition to the arsenal of cleaning devices we have accumulated over the years. In my opinion it does not replace the need for a vacuum, unless for a really small apartment or home...it's a nice extra piece.

This vacuum is very convenient in keeping large open areas clean. It is helping to modivate my 5 year old son to keep his toys out of the floor so he can watch it run around. It vacuums well and it is neat to watch it return itself to the base to charge. It does not do as good as my Shark upright, but works well between thorough cleanings.

Works great. Picked up a lot of cat hair and crumbs. Only downside is that it won't connect to a 5g network only 2.4g network.

I was looking for a vacuum for the second floor so I decided to give this a try. First thing I noticed about it is that that the brush bar is near the back of the machine and fairly narrow at 5”. This is different from my other vac that has about an 11” bar right at the front. This seems to be less than ideal for cleaning up edges head on and must count on sweeping along the edge to clean. The machine is very quiet and sounds like a fan running in the background. The dirt bin a pretty straight forward to clean. My personal issue with the vacuum is now it pinballs around the room. It seems very inefficient for preserving the battery and cleaning. Overall, I’m happy with the vacuum.

This robot vacuum was the first robot vacuum I ever used. First thing I noticed was that they are larger in person than one might think, so keep this in mind. For Shark, the setup was easy, and everything you need is included. The vacuum has ample capacity, and works well across different floor types (we have hardwood, rugs, and actual carpet). Really, they are meant to supplement cleanings, and not as a vacuum replacement. Basically, the cons are as follows: Battery can run out before cleaning cycle is done. Cleaning cycles last 60 minutes, but it seems the battery always run dry before that time is up. Can get stuck, which is inherent, but still of note. App-controlled, where you can schedule cleanings and such (plus name your robot, which is nice), but the app may or may not work. Lastly, the outside sweepers can pick up things that would otherwise not be grabbed, meaning more chances to get stuck. Overall, a solid addition to a household, but may not be a necessary item in any sort.

Overall, this is a nice product. It was easy to set up right out of the box and it works better than I had expected for cleaning. It roams around my main floor and just cleans randomly in various locations. It has an edge sensor so it knows when to turn. In my opinion, it should continue down an edge when it finds a wall or obstacle. Instead, it chooses a random direction and starts cleaning a whole new path. It also has a higher profile than I was expecting, so it doesn't get close to edges under the kitchen counters. Other than how it handles around edges, it's a very nice machine. The self-docking feature and find feature is also very nice. Finally, the smart-phone application is good and it connects easily to the machine. It would be nice to have a steering pad on the phone as a future enhancement. Once it goes, it just goes.

Feature wise the smartphone app does provide a central location to program and manage the device. I found scheduling cleanings to be easy and straightforward. As far as cleaning power, this device is up there with most vaccumes and the self cleaning brush is very handy. The device does a great job on carpet and hardwood floors.

Very quiet and efficient; it does not disturb our pet dog when used at night. It is a great investment!

I got my first robot vac in 2006, since then I’ve had several. To be honest I wasn’t expecting much. It was a big surprise when the shark hit the floor. It’s well built, and has a similar design to the top robot vac but is slimmer and feels more solid. The shark comes with dual easy replaceable side brushes, and a decent collection bin. My favorite aspect of this vac is that it’s more than 50% quieter than the competition. I can easily fall asleep with it running ( unlike my Roomba) the battery ran for 2 hours off a full charge even though it took almost 3 hours to charge to full the first use. The app is fun and easy to use. This puts the finishing touch on my smart home

As someone who loves to clean and has a very strict chore list throughout the week, I really thought my floor maintenance every week was on point. I sweep, I steam the floors, I felt satisfied. When the Ion robot entered my life I thought it was a bit gimmicky, My mom insisted that it would change my life and she let me borrow hers. The amount of dust and cat hair that the machine found I was absolutely astonished. Felt completely disgusted with my former routine. I have had my own robot (Named it Larry) for four days and have ran that machine non stop, its still finding things to suck up. I've tried cheating the bot and wanted a clean slate on day three. I swept, used my upright shark vacuum in the hopes my floors would be spotless. Larry still collects an impressive amount every run. App is easy to use and was a breeze to set up I like that app keeps a history of when it ran, I can schedule it to run whenever & I can have it clean from a push of a button while I'm out and about. Cat fur and medium length female hair is easily sucked up. The dust container is easy to remove and clean. it transitions from hard wood to carpet with ease. DO IT, You wont regret it.

Over the years I've just rolled my eyes to the robot vacuums but I actually saw a Roomba in action over the past weekend and became open minded with what the owners had to say about it. I started my own research and it led to the Shark Ion Robot. The selling point for the Shark for me is, it's a trusted vacuum brand and in other reviews people who had long hair or pet hair raved about it versus the Roomba brand. So, I made my decision and purchased the Shark at my local Best Buy since they were offering the best prices at the time. Out of the box, everything was simple to understand. I test the Shark and was impressed. The navigation of it is random but overall covered my apartment living, dining, and kitchen hardwood floors. I downloaded the shark app and tested if it operated with phone remote and sure enough it was cleaning before I got home. I setup the schedule and on time it starts doing its magic. I tested the Shark on the carpets and it did an amazing job. I am truly impressed with this device and would recommend it to anyone. It doesn't replace vacuuming completely but it does help clean after two people and two dogs to make my job easier.

We have only had it a few months. When we first got it Tony took a little time to figure out the layout of our home, now turn it on it cleans up and goes back to the charger pretty simple. Oh and empty the collection tray.

I have no regrets whatsoever in buying my Shark iRobot 750 it does a job well done on my hardwood floors and my tile and my carpets it picks up all the dust all the pet hair.. I have it set for one hour every day and goes on on time without any problems. It was easy to install the application on my phone easy to follow. Since then I have recommended to both of my sisters my mother they have all now bought the same item for their home as well. I love my new vacuum. This was a Mother's Day gift for me and I think this has been the best gift ever it's just great!! I definitely recommended for someone who doesn't want to pay a high price for & will do the same thing , well this one for the price that it's at has done the job well..Another thing is when I mop my floors, my mop comes out pretty much clean there's hardly nothing to be picked up or a dirty mop after this vacuum does its job my floors maintain spotless ... I can"t say it enough, I simply love it and highly recommended it ...

What a fun way to integrate a vacuum into the smart home territory. It picks up a good amount of dirt, and it seems to cover all of the floor. I love that I can start and stop the vacuum with my phone. The only downside I would say is it is a little louder than I expected. I would not run at night due to the noise, but perfect for when I am out to work. Seems well built and is super easy to set up and use.

Works great a d gets itself out of tough situations

This works great for a robot vac. I have had it get stuck on a couple pairs of shoes, but that is my fault. The app is great and works well!

Worked good for 3 years then stopped working. I had to purchase another one

Didn’t connect to wifi except for one time. Ended up having to file claim and get a replacement after 2 attempts we finally got a complete replacement.
