Nice robot for the price

We love this vacuum. Only wish it had manual control. Best price for a vacuum that cleans in straight lines. Would be nice to have laser guidance to avoid obstacles but for that, it costs about $300 extra on other brands. This machine uses a camera on top to map the ceiling and uses that for navigation. Actually works quite well after you let it learn your house without interruption. Tip: don't accept the map until it has covered all areas that you want cleaned. Up you do and don't like the map, delete it and let it start over. Have the lights on at least at first and I've found it helps to be out of the house for those first few mapping missions. It took over a week for it to find all my rooms, but after that, it leave nice straight lines in every room. Don't be disappointed and give up in the first few days. It will bump every wall and drive in strange patterns until it learns the floor plan. After it has scarred itself on all your baseboards, it rarely bumps anything any more lol

I bought this thinking that it would not do all that great of a job and that it basically bounces from one wall to the other wall. I was so surprised at how it is as though it learns. It has made housecleaning so much easier and the more I use it the better it seems to get. It is almost as though it is very detail oriented. I would definitely recommend getting this robot vacuum. It does such a good job. I don't know if I would use the cheaper ones out there. If anything, get one and if you don't like it you do have a return policy. Just know that it doesn't exactly clean like a Vacuum with a motor that provides suction, but it definitely cleans as though it does. I hope this helps others in their choices in choosing a robot vacuum. But I really believe this was worth the little but extra that it costs. I also like that if you need to replace a part or something wears out it is very easy and cheap to get anything you need for your machine. My question now is: "Why are you still reading this? Go get your Robot Helper." LOL. You will not be disappointed.

Dyson-level cleaning with little effort. You still need to pick up after yourself, and it does take it a while to learn your home. However, I was shocked how much it picked up after we used our Dyson, especially dog hair. It's no where near as loud as I'd expected, although it sounds like a regular vacuum when it's emptying.

I do like my Shark. The mapping of the rooms and having the ability to select certain rooms to vacuum is great. I also love the way it empties itself. This is a great buy. My only issue with it has been that as of the last two weeks it has dropped the WiFi and I have to reboot the Shark and the WiFi to get it to find it again. The Shark sits right next to an extender and the signal is very strong. This did not happen the first month I had it but has happened twice in the the last two weeks. It is a slight inconvenience but one I am going to keep an eye on.

Owned it for about a month, two heavy shedding dogs, does an awesome job keeping the appearance they don't shed at all. Have mostly hard floors with low pile area rugs, 1 bedroom has textured thick carpet, not so great on that sometimes on heavy clumps of hair, vacuumed that room 1st with a regular vacuum, and it good on maintaining as long as it doesn't encounter a large clump of hair. Love the no tangle roller, have yet to have to clean any hair off of it. Now because of the volume if dog hair I do have to empty the base canister much more often then the 30 days it advertises, but I don't count that as a bad mark.

We love our new little bot. It does a great job of cleaning. My wife is happy with it so we all are happy. Easy set up and easy set up on her Android. She loves saying Google have ----- clean the ----- and it does. The auto dump cycle is amazing and worth every penny extra. Maintenance is really quick and easy.

Upgraded to this from another cheaper robot vacuum. Wow is all I can say! The mapping worked even better than I could have imagined, it truly can figure out the entire home layout and will get every spot that it can reach. The Shark IQ XL did nearly 900 sq ft of cleaning when we ran it, emptied itself 3 times and had 40 percent battery still remaining when it had completed its cleaning. When it goes to empty itself it goes right back to where it stopped at and continues. The no-go strips work as well, placed a strip under my desk so the vacuum wouldn’t get caught in computer cords and it never went past the strip. Suction was incredibly strong, we have 2 dogs, 1 or which sheds heavily and there was almost no visible hair on the floor left. The brushroll worked as advertised and didn’t have any hair tangled in it after completion of its run.

This vaccum is great at doing daily sweeps its not a deep clean but it gets 90% of the room floor done. The winner is the fact it empties itself and you only gotta empty the bin like once a month. Ohh can't forget it is also dog hair proof and it's amazing with dog hair of all lengths.

We have hardwoods downstairs with three German Shepherds and a cat. There’s always hair everywhere. This little fellow (“Bruce”) makes a daily run and returns to base with little hassle.
Two issues I’ve had - 1. I didn’t realize it would try to climb the stone that’s in front of the fireplace, and now the bottom of the vacuum is very badly scratched up. 2. It loves going behind the couch, and unfortunately, it usually gets stuck.
It’s very stubborn about cleaning specific areas over and over again.
I don’t regret buying it even though there have been some issues with it.

I like the shark it did what’s it’s supposed do. A few things that I didn’t like it took forever to map my house. Also it did get stuck in certain areas and sometimes it couldn’t find its way back home. Overall performance is good, the bag less option is awesome, and the price is decent for a smart vacuum. I gave it a four because It took forever (20days) to map my one story house. I would recommend it it your looking for an expensive smart vacuum.

Set up was easy. But you had better have a really strong wifi signal to pair it with your phone. However, even without the wifi / phone control, if you don't mind just pushing a button and walking away, it really performs as it advertised. Not too noisy, but very effective. And despite the reviews I watched on Youtube, when the robot is full it WILL return to the dock to empty out. With having two cats, my days of sweeping up litter are gone!

Upgraded from a cheaper ILIFE robot around $170, and was disappointed in this vacuum *I had high hopes as youtube reviews were solid.
***Returned and Bought a NEATO D7 and Wife and I Are very happy.
*Not smart, got stuck first 10 min of cleaning.
*Very loud with a plastic rattling sound.
*Connectivity and app was decent, but not floor mapping update yet. Used for 3 days and returned.
*Battery needs 3-4 hours for a full charge, however does last about an hour. However after recharge does not return where it left off.
***Only Plus:
*Self emptying bin works awesome!! Empty's on every recharge, leaves robot bin very clean.

This is our 2nd try on a robotvac. This one does pretty well. Cleans every day like clock work. If the kids leave stuff on the floor it will eat them then stop running. The app is not great. I set up 5 rooms and it will not just clean one room. We have to clean all at once. 2500sq ft house with 2 dogs and a cat. It keeps the hair off the floor. I wish that it had more of a laser or someother way to see vs just running into things.

The first few days were interesting, as I learned the robot and the robot learned the house. It works exactly as advertised - it learns the house, drafts a map, then allows you to identify the rooms. From that point on, when you tell the vacuum to clean, you can select which rooms it will cover on this run. Very easy, very effective.
I compared the dust collected from a full-house run with that collected by my upright. Very close. So it seems to be cleaning as well as my upright, which came as a surprise.
Disappointment: The app only lets you choose room names from their list. So you only have one bathroom label, one hallway, etc. It would be nice to be able to label the foyer, the guest bath, and (of course) the Dave Cave.

The self-emptying Shark IQ is an excellent robot vacuum. I own 2 of the previous models, and I prefer the way their self-emptying bin works to this one, but this one is still a very solid choice. If you have kids or family members who leave objects around the house, you might want to consider a smarter vacuum that can navigate around those obstacles, but I consider this the best value self-emptying vacuum on the market today.

The IQ Robot is a good product and does a good job of cleaning. One big issue is that it takes forever to get where I need it to go. It's a problem I read in other reviews and thought it wouldn't bother me.... well it does. That isn't to say I wouldn't recommend it, its just something I wasn't sure how I would really react until I sent it to clean the dining room and it starts in the living room.

The biggest thing that I like about this vacuum is the self emptying feature. I have 3 dogs, and I don't want to keep track of emptying it myself. I do like that it maps your house. Sometimes, though, the map doesn't come up so that I can choose what rooms I want to clean. If you move your furniture, you pretty much have to have the machine relearn, because it will avoid that spot. It misses some areas, but I have a hard time getting it to accurately avoid the do not go areas. The spinner brushes only have one set of brushes per spinner, which I feel decreases the efficiency. I have another brand (non selfemptying, hence, buying this machine) and it has 3 per spinner and is more effective. It does a good job on the laminate floor (on the areas it doesn't miss) but I wouldn't get this is I only had carpet. I have to go over the area rugs when this is done and still get a fair amount of dog hair and dirt up.

I already have a Shark upright vacuum and it does an amazing job vacuuming the carpets in the house. That being said, suction power isn't as strong compared to my upright vacuum cleaner but it is strong good enough to keep my entire house "clean" until I have time to vacuum using the upright.
The robot vacuum can be set via a schedule on the phone app, and when it comes time to vacuum, it just leaves the dock and start vacuuming in rows. If an object is in the way, it will try its best to navigate around it and continue on its row path, or will turn around if it can no longer continue. The larger canister extends the run time of the robot so when it is full, it will return to its home base and the canister will suck all the debris out of the robot. Emptying the canister is equivalent to emptying the Shark upright.
To provide a frame of reference, my first floor is approximately ~1700 sq ft according to the shark app. When its time to vacuum:
1) the robot vacuums for 30 minutes
2) returns to dock to remove debris
3) continues for another 30 minutes
4) returns to dock to remove debris and recharges for 2 hours
5) and repeats 1 to 3 as required until the entire first floor is cleaned
The entire process takes about 4.5 hours
The robot and app took about 5 cleaning sessions for it to mapped and verify the floor. Once that is done, the app lets you designate each room so that you can quickly send the robot to clean a specific room that you choose.
Happy with the product. Will purchase another one for second floor whenever I have extra cash laying around. These are fairly pricey.

I have 3 short haired dogs and I have this run everyday when I am at work and I notice a huge difference in the decrease of the hair and dust in my house. Works excellent on hard surfaces as well as short pile carpet and rugs. I live in a sprawling ranch and it is having a difficult time finding 2 of my rooms which I am continuing to work with through the app.

WOW. I have been missing this Shark Robot all of my life. This saves me so much time and effort in my busy life. It definitely lends a hand with my busy two year old and Sunday Fantasy Football house guests. I can start it while I am at work or anywhere else as a matter of fact. I just press start and it does all of the work for me. I handle all of my other house cleaning duties while the Robot handles the vacuuming and let if complete while I have a glass of wine. I really think I need the Shark Mop Robot ASAP and I will surely get it next within a few weeks. Shark/Ninga is the best. I love all of their products that I own.
