Q: How does it do with cat and dog hair?
A: Amazing! I have a long haired Shepherd and a Samsung that had to be taken apart daily to cut the hair out of the brush. Maddening,. This one has no issues with the hair at all.
Q: What accessories are needed? Is WiFi necessary? Trish
A: You must have wifi coverage in your home. You must also have smartphone (either Android based or Apple iPhone) and download and install the Shark app. The Shark IQ vac has no dedicated remote and requires the smartphone with Shark app to control the vac.
A: I move mine, but it can't get back to base, I just have to move it back closer to base when done.
Q: I am comparing the IRobot Roomba I7 plus and I want to know if this vacuum is loud.
A: It can be - adjustable, but I would say it is as comparable to Roomba in sound - though with that said this is a much better bot vacuum than the I7. Only the S9 was better
Q: Is this the new model 2019 s
A: This is a shark robot vacuum. “S” is one of the Roomba robot vacs. This is a R1000AE, AE is important because the letters AE tell you the vacuum comes with the tower. The shark version is much cheaper but in my opinion just as good at 1/3 the cost. I already bought a second one of these shark vacs after being so impressed with our first one even on carpet.
Q: Is this model self emptying?
A: Yes. Ideally the bin needs dumped once a week.
Q: How does this unit transition from Wood Floor to a Higher Piled Carpeting - or Rug?
A: No problem. It reminds me of a little turtle roaming around the house with no issues.
Q: What happens if it encounters liquid on the floor?
A: We would like to let you know that if the Robot encounters liquid it can damage the unit and it will also void the warranty.
