This was my first robot vacuum. Setup was fairly simple robot comes assembled just have to attach to side brushes that snap in place. Plug in the base somewhere close to wifi and make sure it has some space around it. Close to wifi is important I had major issues stashing it in a office space kinda far from my router once I moved it into the living room where my router is it worked better. Otherwise it wouldn't find its way back to charge ever. Cleaning it does a fairly good job three settings depending on noise and how hard you want the brush to pick things up. It's important to prepick up the floor so robot has a clear shot of your floor and doesn't get stuck on things. pick up phone cords etc. When its low on battery or full on dirt it will return to the dock and empty it self and charge up until it completes its sweep of your home or room. I had issues with having to manually empty the robot because hair and debri would get stuck in it which it's not supposed to. There is a mobile app to accompany the Shark robot and you can see the map of your home and select certain rooms for it to clean. This never worked for me it's been stuck at creating the map at 5% for weeks now no idea how to fix it and haven't felt like calling Shark. I am overall happy with the vacuum and like the job it does but its not without it's faults in my eyes.

Returning the one I purchased about a month ago today. It keeps getting louder and louder, even with us cleaning it and it's base daily. The last straw was last night, it gave us an error saying it was stuck.....when it wasn't near any obstacles.

Not even one year and start making a loud noise and also not vacuum or picking up any dust or trash worse buying ever.I’m still paying for it and is not working already . Don’t waste you money on this

ok so like the title says. I love this vacuum, it has a bigger tank on the vacuum itself then other robot vacuums, as well as having a docking station that it it self dumps into as well. its easy to dump the station out. there is a button on top you press to release it from the station, and then a button on the side when you get to a trash can that opens the tank to dump into the trash can. it has a hard plastic mat that you can place the station on which helps if you need to place it on a carpet. it comes with a long strip that you can cut into pieces to place at spots you don't want the vacuum to go. it comes with a good amount but I wish it had double myself. I think the strip is about 7-8 feet in length. sounds like a lot but goes quick lol. it does a great job picking up. has a couple brushes that sweep stuff into the middle. it starts out in random patterns laying out the house plan. once done, it does a nice back and forth pattern. and you can also lay out rooms and then tell it what rooms to clean etc. overall we enjoy it. the vacuum itself is not to loud. when it docks and dumps itself, that is a bit louder like a regular vacuum is. now for my reason as a 4 star. If getting this, I would suggest still having a hand vacuum around. so far I have not found a way to be able to just spot vacuum with this. I hope they can update the software and app so that you can remote control the vacuum like a rc car to specific spots if needed. but for now it lacks that. it does not have a remote control with it. so you either have to use controls on the vacuum or download the app and use with a smartphone. the cord is pretty short. guess about 3 feet if that. so you have to place this on a wall close to a outlet or use an extension cord. I don't have stairs so I was not able to test if it stops. says it does, but something I did not test. the strip does work well. vacuum goes right up to it and stops. I also love that it works on both carpet and hard floors. and does a good job going between the areas. usually there is a lip and so far has not gotten stuck. so outside the couple small things I mentioned I enjoy it. most would probably still have a regular vacuum around anyways. It also suggest having 5 feet in front and a few feet on either side. overall a great robot vacuum to have.

It is okay but not worth getting if you have a heavy shedding pet.

It was ok, but when I manually sweep my floors they're much more cleaner.

After the update Shark had on their app the robot won't connect to the wifi again. i tried getting support but they weren't able to help. Only able to use it manually without the app its been almost 2 weeks now. Not satisfied at all with this product. A friend of mine got one too and his was making the same connection issues.

This vacuum is light years behind Neato technology and Neato isn't that great. The mobile app is lacking in many features - the developers can't even get the day of the week correct in the app. They are a day off - so if you want to run your vacuum, Monday - Friday, you have to setup it up to run Sunday - Thursday to get the correct days. Come on, Man! Do your testing!!!!!! After using this product for a few months, the botvac is getting stuck on any small object. I have cleaned the sensors and check everything out and the bot will leave it's docking station, circle around it and then move on top of it and "get stuck". Don't buy this Shark product! It isn't worth the Shark name

Need more power to clean. Battery does not last long

It does what it says except go to specific rooms. Need a new robot vacuum.

We bought this as an upgrade from our Shark 75. It needs more attention than our cheaper, less fancy model. It takes about 10 days for it to nap your home, so the 15 day return period means you can’t really get a good idea of how well it will clean your home before you can’t return it. Disappointed for sure!

It does not pick up very good. Hoped it would save my wife time.

We have had other Shark products and have been pleased with them. The design of this robot vacuum doesn't lend itself to be thoroughly cleaned when it docks at the base station. You really have to clean the bin and filters on the robot after every docking to make sure the performance it what you expect.

It's really nice just wish the vacum was a little stronger

WiFi stopped working shortly after I got it. It never can find its way back to the dock and dies wherever it’s lost. I should’ve paid the extra money and got a the Roomba.

Shark created the map of my house and I labeled the rooms in the map. When I tell shark to go clean the kitchen, sometimes it goes to kitchen, but sometimes it goes to some other location. It also can not map multiple floors. It is an average product.

Would take off cleaning and get stuck in the middle of the floor. Self cleaning is over rated because I had to unclog the robot so it would get sucked into the bin. I took mine back for the rumba, have yet to test that equipment out.

Worked the first and second time but couldn't get back to base, now it comes off the base goes 3 feet and spins like a mime stuck in a box and still cant make it back the home base, ill be returning it ASAP!!!

Just works ok. The vacuum does work, but it runs out of juice before it cleans even half of the floor. I bought this on sale--probably should've waited for a better product. This is my first robot vacuum.
