We love Jaws! So much better than the Roomba!

We’ve had 2 iRobot vacuums, aka Roombas, and this Shark robot is far better! It is consistent in completing its nightly job. It always returns to the charging base, something our last Roomba never did. It heads yet to get stuck on any of the furniture, unlike the Roomba, which we found stuck on a chair almost daily. I wish we had purchased this initially, instead of wasting money on the last Roomba.

The robot vacuum is pretty awesome. I like that it pretty much takes care of itself, and gives me a clean floor. I have found it stuck under a dresser, and sometimes in a tight corner. But, overall, it's been pretty good about getting back to it's station on it's own.

Wife was skeptical of this robot sweeper. However the shark quickly changed her mind. It is still mapping my house since it has only swept my house 4 times. It does a fabulous job. Well worth the price and is nice not having to sweep the old fashioned way. It goes under the beds and weaves thru our dining room chairs. It leaves a nice parallel stripes on the carpet as if you did by hand. Great job shark engineers.

I spent 6 months, maybe 8 researching robots vs cordless...too scared about buyer beware. This device is A-W-E-S-O-M-E. This is a non-paid advertisement. As a real person talking to a real person with major concerns about a robot vacuum, this is the real deal. Love it. Amazing. No issues ever. YES...I have a 1 story, ranch...moves from vinyl floors to carpet to tile w/o issue, mapped my house without issue....set it up on a schedule. Works with my Google Assistant. I haven't used my corded vacuum in 2 months. Convinced my neighbor to buy one for their basement and another friend for his upstairs where dog hair is the worst. I don't own dogs but this thing picked up a ton of dirt the 1st 2-3 times and I thought my house was pretty clean. Goes under any cabinet or bed or piece of furniture that doesn't have a barrier (i.e. a bed skirt)....goes under my bed (no skirt). Do it, it's awesome, great device. Buy it as a sale item or otherwise but $325-$400. Anything more....might be worth it but get it when it's on deal.

Works great for my intended use!
I have a long haired GSD and got this to help with the pet hair control in my apartment. The shark vacuum took about 4 tries to fully map out my place and does the job extremely well with my hardwood floors. I run it Monday-Friday and do my own thorough cleaning on the weekend.
Favorite little specks is that it fits under my couch and entertainment center. The home for dumping is also super convenient! I only empty it out once a week or two!
The only issue I’d have with it is on carpet. It’ll leave little balls of hair around if it’s too much for it. It also could use some work on its select area cleanings.
Overall would recommend for those with pets, just know it’s to help, not take over your vacuum duties altogether.

We love our Shark robot. It is quiet when it runs and very easy to control via smart phone app. Set up was simple and this little robot is very thorough. It cleans every inch, floors, carpets, under furniture, it even climbs thick carpets. The dock ensures we aren’t emptying it every single day, allowing dirt from multiple runs to accumulate and there’s a window to view how full it is of dirt.

Excellent Robot Vacuum

First: You have to realize that these are not meant to replace a standard upright or canister vacuum. They are for helping keep areas clean. With that said this vacuum does an excellent job of cleaning hard floors and carpet.
This is my second robot vacuum, my first was purchased in 2013 and and is on its last leg.
For this Shark I am very impressed. Its navigation is much better than the old style that bounces aimlessly around. This guy cleans in straight lines and when it reaches an obstacle it will find away around it and return the line it was on. I keep seeing reviews stating that its noisy, but compared to a traditional vacuum or my old robot this is substantially quieter. Many people have complained about it not mapping, mine mapped my 1300 sq foot house in 2 days. Turn on all your lights so the camera can see better during the mapping phase and it will work just fine. after it was mapped I am able to keep the lights off. The return to base and clean out is great! All robot vacuums require some maintenance, but having this feature means i only have to deal with it every once in a while. The battery life seems great, does my whole place on max power in 1 change, but with charge and resume it really does not matter. I have a long haired dog that sheds like crazy, my old vacuum would be clogged and the rollers would be tangled with hair, this Shark has a Self-cleaning brushroll and it works great. after many runs there is not a single hair in the roller.
The bad: The app does leave a little to be desired, but coming from a "dumb" robot i can live with it. The map is a little hard to use and set up rooms and there are no "no go" lines you can set up, this device relies on a no go physical strip you have to put on the floor. if they update the app to add no go lines this would make life a lot better!
Overall this is a great buy for someone new to the robot vacuum world or wants to upgrade from a "dumb" robot. If you have a smart iRobot from Roomba you might be a little disappointed from the apps point of view. Once the app gets no go boundaries in the app (rumors say they will) this will be hands down a go to robot.

Wish the map was more user friendly. Otherwise, does a great job and has brightened our carpets in a few weeks. Quiey and does not get stuck on things. Lost 2 star for the aggravation of trying to arrange and label the map.

This is our first robot vacuum and we love it. I have it scheduled to clean every other day and it does great. I like that it goes back to the base and empties itself. It got stuck a few times in tight areas, but it was corrected with the magnetic strip that comes with it. I would definitely recommend to friends.

Maybe it’s better for people who don’t actually live in there house and have pets. I have two large dogs and the rollers kept clogging with hair. This vacuum would hit everything and get into spots it couldn’t get out of (between kitchen chairs, behind the couch, under the bed). I returned and purchased the Dyson V11- amazing I do a quick vacuum about twice a day depending what walk through traffic looks like and the battery last very long and get the job done way faster than the robot.

Based on reviews I read before purchasing, I expected good suction and yet wasn't sure how long it would take to map. 1 month use shows great suction, even picks up small particles in spaces between floorboards. Primarily used for everyday vacuuming to control dog hair from a heavily shedding long haired dog. (For deep cleaning of short carpet, the upright Shark is still used weekly.) The mapping was, for the most part, complete in 6 to 9 vacuum sessions. . . Sooner than expected! ! There have been issues with the app disappearing from the phone's home screen, but I haven't determined if that is a vaccum issue or a phone issue. Shark techs have been very helpful, but not always easily understood by phone.

I really love this vacuum it’s pretty quiet and I like being able to set a schedule for it to run. It also doesn’t get tangled up in cords around the house. Sometime it gets stuck on furniture legs or on the closet track though. When this happens I get a notification via the app which is nice so I can get it unstuck and back to work quickly. You can also use the app to find the vacuum which is nice if it gets stuck under a bed or under furniture. This vacuum also maps its route around your house so you can set it to clean certain room which is also a nice feature. Sometimes it starts cleaning on it’s own though which I can’t seem to figure out why.

Very impressed with this one actually. Cleans very well. If you want to see a more in depth review visit vacuum wars on YouTube. Anyways, goes to where you want it after vacuuming for about a minute to get a bearing where it’s at. Self empty is a game changer! Highly recommend especially on sale. Got it for $479.

This is my first robot vacuum, I kind of knew what I wanted but didn’t know a whole lot about them. After some research, I decided I wanted to have one that self emptied and mapped rooms at minimum. The prices are pretty high for some of them, but this one stood out with the best price. I took a shot, and have been completely impressed. It’s powerful, smart as can be, and not terribly noisy. It does more than I expected, the floors look amazing when it’s done. The mapping feature is still being finalized, as it takes a while to build a complete map. It is very adept at avoiding obstacles though, so much so that I’d almost recommend the one below it that doesn’t have room mapping if the price is right.

Keeps The Floors Clean

I hate housework and when the dust and dirt on the floors began to show paths, it was time to do something.
Does the job... although it sometimes pushes something like a piece of onion peal (skin) out of the way for several passes until it finally sucks it in, I couldn't be more pleased (and remain a lazy housekeeper).
I deducted one star because it didn't want to release the mapping fully after 10 days of cleaning twice a day. I erased the map and started over successfully. Be patient during the initial mapping!

I’ve had a roomba 650 for a few years, and another roomba before that. It messed up which caused me to start looking for a new one. Saw this and the fact that it had a 30 day bin, double rotating brush to avoid flinging dirt, and a brush underneath that could handle hair. It’s been about two months and I’ve been very happy with it. I’m sure the suction isn’t as good as the $1,200 Roomba but it keeps our hardwood floors and carpet free of any dirt or dust. The other big advantage is that it isn’t constantly running into baseboards and damaging the paint. For the price I think it’s be beat buy out there and would buy this over all other options out there.

We love it. Great competitor to the Roomba, especially the more expensive models. There's a guy who does Youtube reviews on this model vs the more expensive Roombas and this one beats or performs the same! Setup is easy and you can set a schedule to run it whenever you want.

I was hoping the mapping would prevent cleaning the same area over and over like my cheaper basic roomba. It does not do well with dining furniture as it seems to waste a lot of time navigating its way around all the chair legs. It also runs into the walls often. I was hoping once it mapped rooms that would change but a month in and still bumping into walls. Overall still think it was worth the sale price. What I have seen so far I would not pay retail for this item. The self emptying is good and no complaints there.

I waited many years to purchase a vacuum robot feeling it was to big of a $ splurge. I’m so happy that we have this- feel less burden to constantly sweep, and vacuum. This is a great in-between helping extend your time between deep cleaning. It’s nice to let it run while I’m busy with other work. Convenient and a pleasure to have clean floors. Quiet enough that I can let it run while working from home. (Not as loud as a traditional vacuum). Connecting to the WiFi was a bit of a challenge to start, took a few attempts. Afterwords was easy to use, operate and maintain. The only drawback: I was planning to locate the shark in a small niche, which would be the perfect fit, but reading the setup directions they required 3’ clear on either side and 5’ clear in front to allow the device maneuvering room to dock and empty. Overall very happy with mapping, scheduling and app based control.
