This vacuum works really great. I purchased this after my old vacuum finally died and I was pleased with how well it works and how much it sucks out of the carpet. I was a bit thrown off that there is no height adjustment for the carpet but it doesn't affect performance, long or short carpet, it sucks out everything.

This machine does the job every time. The suction power is second to none and overall performance is exceptional.

It sucks the devil out of the floors. A long cord made it possible to clean every corner of our midsize house without a need to switch the outlets. It has been here for two months, so no comments on its durability yet but it looks pretty solid.

I bought this for my mother who needs a lightweight vacuum so she can move it around easy. The vacuum is great it picks up great, is lightweight, and using attachments are easy to switch back and forth. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it is so lightweight that it tips over way to easy. You have to hold on to vacuum while using long hose when attached or the vacuum will tip over. Or you can use it by carrying the canister by itself. Overall great vacuum.

Lightweight and easy for usage on multi floor homes. However, a little too heavy so if positioned wrong it can fall over. The hose is a little short and inflexible for reaching under appliances and head to reach areas. Extensions while they exist aren’t cheap and don’t seem to be quality since it seems they’re from a third party. Otherwise great vacuum and serves its purposes.

2nd one we have owned the other lasted 7 years. Motor was working but roller mechanism eventually failed. Its light and works well for low to medium pile etc.

Very happy with performance so far. Great on carpet and great at picking up cat hair.

I bought this vacuum on the fly, good ratings, on sale and have had shark products and been satisfied. I don't know how anyone can rate this vacuum well. It has strong suction and does carpets well. The thing that makes this vacuum bad is it's ergonomics. You literally can not vacuum without fighting it. The the upper wand part is to short and you can't get into any tight spots with it. The hose is to short and your all ways pull it and it tips over. You can't use the wand unless you take the whole cord off. The power switch is to low, so your bending over a million times turning it on and off. It has no light in the rug cleaner part. It only comes with 2 attachments. This vacuum is more of hassle than it's worth. A lot of there vacuum have the same design so beware. It baffles me every time I use it that the people at shark thought it was a good design.

The ease of use and power are impressive, but the amount of 'stuff' the first use collected was even more impressive. Going from hard floors to carpet and adjusting the strength of the suction are great attributes of this unit. Excellent price, too.

Pluses: It has great suction, excellent maneuverability, and the dust bin holds a lot too. Works well on carpet and hard surfaces.With the power switch flipped to carpet, it almost feels self propelled. Minuses: Wish it had better tools, and the cord is much shorter than the Shark it replaced and it seems that the cord is always in the way.

I have been using a Hoover and was astounded (and maybe a little embarrassed!) to see how much dirt, pet hair, etc was in my carpet when I started using my new Shark. I really like this vacuum. It handles well and is light weight to use. It is a little smaller than my prior cleaner and I may upgrade to the larger Shark when my daughter needs a vacuum for her college apartment.

Bought for wife, she's used to Bissell brand but said this shark has great suction, it's definitely quieter and she's a bit disappointed how the handle works

Best vacuum ever. You have to be careful. It will take things not meant to be sucked up so fast you won’t know till you empty it.

We had this vacuum for over a year. Its been great with kids and 5 dogs. Picks up everything under the sun. My biggest issue is even when everything is cleaned and emptied the front filter will pop off, this is an issue for me. Other than this con i would recommend to all, better for carpet than tile or wood floors. It will work on all flooring types but does leave behind small dust or sand on non carpet surfaces.

This vacuum replaces an old kenmore canister that was great. This vacuum is easy to use and effective for the price. It cleans the carpets well. There are a few drawbacks: the cord is not very long and does not retract. Even when you use the hose, it is not low enough to fit all the way under the bed. For the price I would get it again.

Much more light-weight than you'd expect based on the size, much more powerful too. For the money, very solid choice. A few nitpicks, but nothing that stops it from being a solid choice.

The specifications on this Shark Navigator model vacuum cleaner are virtually the same as their MUCH more expensive Rotator models (which cost as much as TWICE the price of this model). Lightweight, strong suction, intuitive controls, well placed power button, bagless. With what I saved on this model compared to very similar but more expensive Shark models, I bought Best Buy's four year "we fix it or give you a new one" warranty. BB, you need to tout your excellent warranty coverage (albeit extra cost) vs. Amazon's aggravating "package it up and mail it back" warranty coverage!

I was always told that Shark vacuums were best. I thought I would try this after throwing away a great Bissell Vacuum. This is a good vacuum. Very sturdy. Picks up everything. Didn’t realize the setting, so it was tough to push at first. Easy to clean the dirt compartment. I got this on sale, overall was good.

Best vacuum I’ve owned in years! Works great for dog hair! The detachable base is perfect do stairs and other hard to reach areas. Also works great for cleaning the dog hair out of my vehicle!
