Purchased at the end of Feb this year and now the floor piece does not release and allow the vaccum to lean back. Therefore, I can’t use the upright part of the vacuum, only the detachable hoses. I contacted Shark support for them to tell me the bottom piece is not covered under warranty. I would have to pay to replace it. I’ve probably used this vacuum a total of 4 times.

My handle broke not even 2 years later

I love shark vacums. They do an excellent job of sucking everything up especially since I have allergies. My mom had one that lasted her years and that’s what made me get my own. Im only upset that not even 2 years after having mines the hard plastic of the handle broke. It literally fell apart like old worn out plastic. One small piece came off at first and than after trying to see if I could still reattach it it crumbled into several pieces. I’ve never seen anything break apart like that. While there is a 5 year warranty the handle is considered wearable. This was so disappointing. I had to pay a total of $41 with shipping for a new one.

Initially I really liked this vacuum. Until I realized there's no way to clean corners. It doesn't have attachments, doesn't sell attachments, and after market attachments don't work. I can not believe they sold this saying 'lift away' capacity. Sure it 'lifts away' and has no ability to be used that way. That's as much as you get to clean corners. I will never buy Shark again.

Been looking for a few years for the right vac and I found what I am looking for in this vac. My must haves, which this vac has...ability to shut the brush roller off, bagless easy to empty, light weight but sturdy, and abily to be able to vac with an extension wand without having to bend. This vac has amazing suction and abily to adjust suction. I will say, even with the suction at its lowest, it can still suck up smaller rugs. I didnt think I'd care about the ability to detach the canister and vac but I'm liking it as it makes it so much easier to vac stairs and up high. The only negative is, I wish the flex hose was a bit longer. I am a house hold with two large dogs and like this vac so much, Im waiting for it to go on sale again and I will buy a second one for upstairs.

I’ve been very impressed with the Shark Navigator Lift-Away Deluxe. It offers excellent suction power and does a great job picking up dirt, pet hair, and debris from both carpet and hard floors. For the price, it’s an outstanding value compared to many more expensive vacuums. It’s easy to maneuver, simple to empty, and feels durable. If you’re looking for a powerful, reliable vacuum without spending a fortune, this Shark is a great choice. Highly recommended!

Versatile Cleaning with Sealed HEPA Filtration

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Design & Build The Shark Navigator Lift-Away Deluxe presents a sleek blue exterior paired with sturdy plastic construction. Weighing in at around 12 pounds, it balances portability with stability. The Lift-Away feature lets you detach the canister to convert the unit into a compact, portable vacuum—ideal for stairs, upholstery, and hard-to-reach spots. Suction & Cleaning Performance Powered by a 1200-watt motor, this Navigator delivers strong suction across multiple floor types. Carpets feel refreshed as the brushroll agitates embedded dirt, while the direct-drive nozzle makes quick work of low-pile rugs. On hard floors, suction remains consistent even with the brushroll off, picking up fine dust and larger debris alike. Features Lift-Away Technology: Easily switch from upright to handheld for above-floor cleaning without losing suction power. Anti-Allergen Complete Seal: Sealed system plus HEPA filter traps 99.9% of dust and allergens inside the vacuum. Brushroll Shutoff: Toggle between carpet and bare-floor modes to protect delicate surfaces. Swivel Steering: Effortlessly navigate around furniture legs and tight corners. Additional Tools: Includes a crevice tool and dusting brush that stow onboard. Filtration & Maintenance The sealed HEPA system and AeroClean® technology ensure captured particles stay locked in. Washable filters and a 2-cup dust cup simplify upkeep—just rinse and let air-dry before reinstalling. There’s no bag to replace, and emptying the cup is a one-hand operation via the bottom-release lever. Maneuverability & Storage Swivel steering gives the Shark excellent agility, even in cramped spaces. Its 30-foot power cord and three-position height adjustment extend reach without constant plugging or manual bracket adjustments. The on-board cord wrap and compact upright posture make it easy to tuck into a closet. Noise & Energy Operating noise is moderate—quieter than many uprights in its class—making it more pleasant for longer cleaning sessions. At roughly 12 amps, it’s energy-efficient without sacrificing deep-clean capability. Pros & Cons Pros: Strong, consistent suction on carpets and hard floors Lift-Away converts to a powerful handheld vacuum Sealed HEPA system for allergy sufferers Easy maintenance with washable filters and bagless design Cons: Slightly heavy when used in Lift-Away mode for extended periods Dust cup capacity may require frequent emptying in large homes Hose can feel a bit stiff when fully extended Bottom Line The Shark Navigator Lift-Away Deluxe is a highly versatile upright vacuum that excels in both whole-home and spot-clean tasks. Its anti-allergen seal and HEPA filtration make it a smart choice for allergy sufferers, while Lift-Away portability tackles stairs and upholstery with ease. If you’re looking for one vacuum to handle every surface without breaking the bank, this model delivers reliable performance and convenient features.

BTW, this is my first Shark, so I won't be comparing it to other Sharks, even though it's a new model (NV360, blue, no "k"). We have a Hoover Windtunnel T-series "PAWS" now 3 years old. I have looked at other vacuums including Dyson and Hoovers with features like this Shark. Cleaning with the floor head: Basic operation is job 1. I am impressed. While the cleaning width is 11" rather than 12" or 13", the ability to swivel the head and the on/off motor drive for the beater brush, gave it superior cleaning and especially edge cleaning. The lighter weight makes it seem easier, even though there will be a few more strokes in open areas due to the slightly narrower head. Note that the cleaning head floats over the carpet or surface, so there is no adjustment for carpet thickness. It handled our carpet well, and the bare floors much better than the previous vacuum. There was one floor mat that sealed to the vacuum resulting in difficult movement. There is a partial suction release ring on the handle that is supposed to help with this by providing another path for some air. The motor drive also helps by moving the head over the carpet in a forward motion. There is a green indicator when the brush motor is turned on, and it turns red if the brush is not turning. To go from upright to vacuuming position, you place one foot on the floor head and lean back the handle. There is a noticeable release as it clicks out of the upright position. I am now sold on the benefits of a swivel connector, which means that you can easily steer the floor head by angling the handle as you push or pull. This makes the vacuum feel much easier to control and less tiring to run. Cleaning the vacuum: This is a hepa-filtered vacuum, which unlike old school models, runs the air through most of the filters before the vacuum motor, with only the hepa filter placed after the motor. My lady found the canister easy to empty and clean and very securely mounted, ensuring there is no leakage of air in the vacuum path. All the filters can be rinsed with water, prolonging their life. The instructions call for regular emptying of the removable canister, rinsing and drying the foam and fiber filters every 3 months, and rinsing and drying the hepa filter every 2 years. This is a less frequent interval than the hoover windtunnel. Construction was solid and impressive. As a geek, I loved the modular construction with secure, easy to fasten connections and clearly marked levers to fasten and unfasten. There is no cord rewind, which is good from my point of view, as this is a wear item over the years. Our prior vacuum now will not reliably stay out. I think most people have the opposite problem of tangling and jams, but we are very careful with our cords. There is also no light on the floor. I usually vacuum with the lights on anyway. Weight: This is a lighter vacuum, even fully assembled, much less in the optional configurations for hand use, due to the lighter floor head in part, but the air flow through the vacuum is very strong. I like it. Assembly and options: I have never assembled a vacuum without any tools at all. I actually didn't even have to cut the box open. The pieces are modular, with the floor head securely clicking into the canister with a clearly marked red lever, the handle serving as an extension hose, with clear red levers that securely click, so you can actually remove the floor head and the handle and use the canister as a lightweight (just as powerful) corded vacuum that you can carry, place on the stairs or a ladder, etc. You can also fully disconnect the floor head when you are using the handheld attachments with the vacuum in vertical standing position so no suction is lost. This is part of the design. Attachments are not show in the picture, but they include a 6" "pet brush" that has a swivel in the hose and a suction-powered (not motor driven) beater brush. I think it is much better than the Hoover pet brush we also have. The front and back sides have inserts like those used to remove lint from clothes and this could also be used as an effective lint remover as well as curtain and upholstery cleaner. On softer fabrics, you may need to use the optional air intake ring on the handle to lower suction. It worked great at full suction on the carpeted stairs with the canister detached from the floor head for easy lifting. My lady didn't even set it down, just carrying it as she progressed up the stairs. Other attachments include the pointed nozzle and the small nozzle with brushes around it, as well as one that is new to me--a long, almost flat extendable tube that allows you to vacuum under couches, stoves, refrigerators, and the like, as well as along walls behind furniture without moving the furniture. This does not store on the vacuum itself, nor does the pet brush head. I have attached pictures since these are not in the item photo (currently). Summary: On sale or off, the price for this vacuum was roughly 50% more than the "hundred dollar models" that will still do the job. Given the number of hours spent vacuuming and our need to replace one of those after three years of careful usage, I am feeling very five-stars about this vacuum, and I understand now why Shark has such positive reviews. I could also note that the BB sales person uses this one to clean the store every night, and that there was a sign posted by the store use Shark (last years model) not to use the dysons from the display stock because they had broken. That is not my story to tell....
