I own a condo, and I needed something that wasn't huge to lug around, but still had some power and I didn't want to spend 300 for a high end vacuum. I started by looking at Dyson because some friends told me they were awesome, ...and their prices seemed a bit higher( I feel like you are buying a name more than anything)...I just happened to be at the store when the sale on this Shark was going on for 149.99. I was told it had good suction and that it had a 5 year warranty and also had a maneuverable swivel/rotator. I decided to bring it home and give it a try. The suction definitely is quite adequate. It picked up plenty of dirt and hair that my decade old junker simply could not. It is also a very light vacuum to me. Its not going to kill your back. I also have brand new wood flooring, and I love the fact it has the rubber feet on it, so I can still roll it across my wood without scratching anything. It has a bare floor setting (I use in my kitchen and bathrooms where I have vinyl tile) and carpet setting which engages the brush. Its very simple to detach the hose and it also gets good suction. There is an add on that came with it also that allows you to use the hose and get underneath your oven or any other appliance that has a small gap between it and the floor. The canister has 2 tabs that easily detach which allows you then to pull out the canister and dump out your dirt. The filter is right below the canister and can easily be washed in the sink and put back in without any troubles. This unit performs like a high end vacuum. It may not be quite as wide as some other vacuums in which you will have to go over more times, but I really don't mind. The power cord also isn't quite as long as some, but its not really that big of a deal to me either. I hope it has good longevity, but I have somewhat of comfort knowing it has a 5 year warranty on it. I would recommend this to anyone who has a condo or townhome, and wants bang for their buck, or on a budget.

I didn't realize how much dirt and dust was in my carpet until I switched and got a new vacuum. Very strong suction and cleaning capability. I wish it was a bit larger, width wise but it definitely gets the job done. Easy to empty canister.

I've seen commercial after commercial about the Shark Vacuum cleaners. I finally bought one and was surprised that it worked as well as it is advertised. It's lightweight, quiet and it never lost suction. I was amazed how much dirt the Shark retrieved from my carpet. This is my second one. Had another for many years. I like that it is light weight and easy to maneuver. Had great suction for a smaller vacuum. For a pretty straight forward machine it cleans very well. Happy with it

Having 3 dogs and 2 cats requires a powerful but easy to use vacuum. This model does get the job done well. I researched the internet for this purpose and found that there are quite a few models to choose from. However the store associate gave me great advice and explained how the shark differs from the the other more expensive Dyson. After getting it home and out of the box, we found the assembly easy and quick. I vacuumed the bedroom carpet 3 times in a row and it still picked up dirt my old one left behind. Using it every other day I have to say that the suction does continue to be great even with the amount of fur I have. The emptying is fairly simple but still quite messy compaired to a bagged model. The brush works well and the attachments are great for the hard to reach area's. It does tip over when using the hand tools to clean the couch. Lightweight enough to carry while vacuuming the stairs. I no longer have to dust off everything after vacuuming so the fiters work well. I recommend this model if you don't want to spend the money to buy a dyson.

This vacuum is very easy to move and has a powerful suction. Great for use on the stairs since it is lightweight. The attachments are wonderful. I wish the canister was a little bigger as you have to empty it often if you are cleaning a large area. Overall, really happy with this purchase!

I vac ALOT with 5 small dogs in the house and this lil vac is tough as nails. Works great and picked up stuff in the carpet that my old vac did not. Easy to use and easy to clean. Light Erin my opinion. Not big and clunky . Love this and already recommend to friends.

Terrific, relatively lightweight vacuum that really sucks out the dirt from the carpet with ease. A snap to assemble (literally, you just snap the parts together). Easy to push across thick carpet, doesn't make too much noise, and is simple to empty. Its really noticeable how much cleaner our carpet is compared to an older upright from another manufacturer. In order to use the tools, you just pop out the upper part of the vacuum and attach to the hose. It would be nice if the path width was a bit wider, the cord a few feet longer, and if edge cleaning was a bit better, but given the reduced price on Black Friday and the fine reputation of Shark, this is a real winner!

I purchase the Shark - Navigator Lift-Away Deluxe vacuum a couple months ago and I must say it works great! It's very powerful and picks up all of my cats hair and dirt that cannot be seen. The suction is so powerful it lifts up the carpet threads or whatever they are called so the carpet looks and feels like it is new. The Shark is lightweight and you can even remove the canister and use it like a smaller hand held vacuum for easy cleaning of stairs or hard to reach areas. It comes with many good/useful attachments. I have purchased many vacuums in the past and this one was not only the lowest price, but the best vacuum overall. I highly recommend the Shark - Navigator Lift-Away Deluxe vacuum.

one con is that one attachment part was missing. i contacted company and they said it will take about 6 weeks for the item to be sent out free of charge it took about a month. customer service was nice and professional. i was able to use the vaccuum without attachment. other than that, it works great. glides thorugh carpet easy. the cable is really long. all attachments work well. the middle part is easy to take off. to clean the container in the middle i use kitchen sink & clean out the filter every time.

This sweeper is amazing! We bought it on the advise of one of the people that work at the store. It's got awesome suction my carpet fibers stand up again. We did the test with running the old sweeper on the floor and then this one over the same place and man did it full up the container with animal hair. We have 3 cats and a dog that is shedding bad right now and it fills up the container easily. I love the attachment for animal hair and how the sweeper comes apart to make a tool, no need to switch between sweeper and attachments for suction and no hose that keeps falling off the sweeper when it's not in use. So glad we spend a few more dollars for this one instead of another sweeper. This one is well worth it. I enjoy sweeping everything I know it sounds crazy but it works so well.

I had 2 Dyson vacs and i lost them both when my home burned. After rebuilding and moving back in i decided it was time for another vacuum. I had over $1000 tied up in my Dysons and was reluctant to spend that much on another vacuum so i purchased another brand’s higher end unit and it stopped working completely 2 months and 2 days after purchase. I have hardwoods throughout the house - no carpet anywhere and i have cats, which track cat litter around and i dont like walking on that. The other brand did ok - until it quit working. I knew Dyson was more expensive but you get what you pay for. Dyson is just a better vacuum cleaner. Better made, more powerful and certainly more reliable. I can tell a huge difference in my floors in comparing the other brand to the Dyson. The floor still felt a little gritty after vacuuming with the other brand but it feels so smooth and clean with the Dyson. Its heavier but thats what you get when you have a well made, solid machine.

This vacuum has great suction power. It has a good variety in suction power with the adjust feature which helps depending on what length carpet you have. It’s a little heavy, but not too crazy. My wife sometimes does the stairs because my back sometimes flares up. I like that you can maneuver around corners pretty easily with the design of this vacuum. The width of the head is also small enough to be able to find its way into tight spaces without being so narrow that it causes a lot of extra work. My biggest complaint (which I knew before purchasing) is that the roller is not adjustable. That’s what the suction adjustment is for. But, I wish they would make this vacuum with an option to get it with adjustable height for the brush roller. It is hard to use on shaggy rugs or on rugs that are very thin, but once you learn a few tricks of what works best on your specific rug, you learn to make it work. I like the detachable base feature for stairs or cleaning outside of floors alone. It also is probably one of the best vacuums I’ve ever used for cleaning up hard floors with the roller turned off. It’s not perfect, but overall, this has been a solid purchase that will hopefully last for a several years.

I did a lot of quality and price research before I decided to try this Shark vacuum and I really like it! It’s light, easy to maneuver, easy to clean and it does a great job on carpets and hard floor. I agree with some reviews that the canister won’t stand up on its own and the hose is kinda short, also, I would like a longer angled attachment for corners cleaning but overall I love it and I'm happy with it. I will buy it again.
