We are using this vac on vinyl tile, medium shag, and looped pile carpeting. Chose this model because it has the simple, single beater-bar head rather than the dual heads that some of the more expensive models have. In some reviews I have read, the dual head models seemed to be more likely to have problems over time. This thing has very good suction. So far, pleased with the purchase.

This is a nice lightweight vacuum with great suction. Easily go from carpet to floor with the flick of a switch. Canister comes off for cleaning of couches, etc. You can also leave the canister on and just use the hose. The head piviots which is really nice and it is low so it can get under couches, beds, etc.....Nice vacuum at a great price!

This thing is pulling up dust from under my flood rug and through the rug. Its head is a bit narrower than I’d like, but for the price? It’s the best vacuum I’ve ever owned.

Truth be told, I did not have high hopes for a vacuum from Best Buy and it being not one of their "Premier" models, but I have been completely blown away by how good it is. The suction works great for hair on carpets and cleaning up litter or debris. Just make sure to clean it out regularly and this is a good deal if you have a membership!

Roller brush is okay but holds onto too much hair

The suction is great but the roller brush seems to have issues and capture a ton of hair on it if you don’t turn it on so for bare floors if there’s a lot of dog hair I’d recommend just turning it on to the carpet setting so the brush actually can keep itself clean

I am absolutely thrilled with my new Shark Navigator Lift-Away Deluxe Upright Vacuum. The Shark Navigator has exceeded my expectations,
The first thing that blew me away was the suction power. It effortlessly picked up embedded hair from my carpets that my old vacuum left behind. The brushroll works wonders, and the vacuum transitions smoothly from carpet to hard floors, which makes cleaning my entire home a breeze.
The real star of the show, though, is the "Lift-Away" feature. Being able to detach the pod and carry it with a handle has made cleaning stairs, drapes, and high-up corners incredibly easy. I no longer have to struggle with a heavy, bulky machine. It's so versatile, it feels like I have two vacuums in one.
Finally, the Anti-Allergen Complete Seal Technology is a game changer for me. I can visibly tell the difference in the air quality after vacuuming. The sealed system and HEPA filter trap 99.9% of dust and allergens inside the vacuum, so I’m not just cleaning my floors, I’m cleaning the air I breathe. It's a huge relief and a feature I can't imagine living without now.
This vacuum is powerful, versatile, and thoughtfully designed. It has made my life so much easier and my home so much cleaner. It’s an investment in a healthier, cleaner home, and I couldn't recommend it more highly.

So far I love this vacuum. I was looking for something light that I could easily carry upstairs and downstairs. The fact that this comes apart so I can just bring the the canister is even better. There are lots of attachments for reaching high corners. I have two cats and a dog who love to shed. This has been working well to pick up all the hair. I'm just hoping this lasts for the long haul.

Third is great, had a shark before and this one doesn't disappoint. Only reason I didn't give a 5 is because the cord is abnormally stiff and tough to stretch out and then roll back up.

I normally don’t get too excited about vacuum cleaners, but this one beats the socks off any machine I’ve ever owned and over 50 years I’ve bought a lot of vacuums.
The suction on this thing is incredible. I have a hairy dog who sheds heavily this time of year even with daily brushing. It made short work of the hair on top, but probably pulled up 2 years worth of dirt from beneath the carpet to the floor. I wish the canister was bigger, we had to empty it 4 times in a 15 x 15 room that actually had regular vacuuming until it died.
Another thing on the wish list - something that would cut the hair from the roller. I had to stop half way through (and again when finished) and use scissors to cut the dog hair and the long hair from a teenager off the roller before we could proceed.
I’ve never had such great control of movement with the swivel head and it took me a minute to master that, but I love it. The edge cleaner was a nice surprise and worked flawlessly.
I’m in love with this vacuum and would buy it again if this one rolled off because I was overworking it. Lol

I've tried nearly every brand of vacuum cleaner out there and they all tend to loose suction within a few months. I am a mom of a 6 year old and 2 cats and needed a vacuum that could handle dirt tracked in on shoes, pet hair, etc. I decided to give the Shark a whirl since I had never owned one. From day one I was in love. I had just run the old vacuum 2 days prior and it died right after that so when I got the shark home I immediately got to work I started in the bathroom where the cats kick litter everywhere. I wanted to test how well it picked up on bare floors and was shocked when I wasn't pelted with litter granules like I used to be if My back was bothering me and I was unable to handle sweeping. It cleaned the bathroom floor and rugs spotless. I then tackled my bedroom where my little one likes to come hang out and eat crackers and popcorn and make a mess. Remember I had just vacuumed 2 days prior? Well guess what, the Sharks canister was FULL from just my bedroom!!! It pulled out so much left over cat hair and dust it looked like there was an entire cat in the canister!! I live in an apartment that is just over 1000sqft. I had to empty the canister after EVERY ROOM the first time I used this vacuum, but since that first use I now just have to empty it after I run it threw the whole apartment including my kitchen floor and both my bathrooms. The under appliance attachment is AMAZING it found several of my little ones lost magnetic letters that were knocked off the fridge and as it turns out ended up underneath it. The attachments got into places none of my old vacuums EVER reached. It must have pulled out like a years worth of crumbs from the crevasses in my sofa! It even cleaned all the pet hair off my curtains without ripping them down. The width is a little smaller than I am used to but the power in this thing makes up for it. I couldn't be more happy. I am a neat freak and for once I finally feel like my home is really truly clean. I will never try another brand of vacuum again.

I like this vaccum so much I bought another one when it finally broke. I have cats and they leave a lot of fur and dander around. This really cleans up the fur nicely and it's light enough and I love that it detaches for higher surfaces. For how much work I put this vacuum through, it was worth every penny!

Incredible lightweight vacuum, amazing for pet hair, attachments for corners and furniture are unparalleled. 5 star immaculate rating, been through many different vacuums due to having multiple dogs and a saint bernard newfoundland, hair galore. The lightweight makes moving around seemlessly and smooth. I recommend 10 of 10.

I was looking for a vacuum that was somewhat lightweight, easy to use and powerful. I found my perfect vacuum!
*The Shark Navigator Lift-Away Upright Vacuum*
No more buying bags! The dirt and debris collection cannister easily removes to empty after each use.
The filters are washable, which saves money not having to replace them frequently.
The power is amazing! Beware to use the correct settings as it WILL eat your socks, lol.
I have a dog who sheds... some of you know what I'm describing... dog hair is the worst! But it's no match for my Shark Vacuum. It's made my life a lot easier.
It's extremely easy to maneuver around furniture and the top section comes off for vacuuming stairs and reaching high places.
It works on both carpet and bare floors. Perfect for kitchens and bathrooms.
I highly recommend this vacuum!

Great suction so far. I have used it 4 times; considering in the past I've bought vacuum cleaners that have already lost suction by this point I am happy. Too soon to be able to tell if it is long-lasting.
Love the swivel capabilities. The cleaner is easy to move around. The top is detachable so you can use the hose feature for small corners/nooks. Unfortunately the hose is rather short and has a large base for the handle, so it is actually kind of difficult to fit into small areas, such as the corner behind my couch and end table. This isn't a deal-breaker, but is annoying. I'd recommend looking into a longer attachment for the hose as it doesn't come with one.

We’ve had this vacuum for almost a year now, it maintains suction, is easy to empty and clean and is light enough to carry around the house if need be. The price we paid was great and worth every thing in the last year. Happy with the product.

Amazing suction. Easy to use and detach for vacuuming stairs. Can adjust suction based on what you are cleaning. Also cleaning attachments are great. This vacuum performs better than I anticipated.
I am a very skeptical shopper and almost bought a Dyson but I think I made a better choice as well as saved a ton of money!
