    I have three dogs and a mostly white area rug in the living room. I was planning on cleaning the rug with a carpet cleaner I previously purchased, so I used the new vacuum first. Let me just say, it was so effective that I didn't need to use the shampooer afterwards. I LOVE this thing.

    I use it almost daily and it works well although best on shorter pile carpets or on floors. Long hair rugs don't work well with this unit. Only negative is the emptying of the canister while easy results in dust flying all over so you need to be careful. It does what it is supposed to. I normally have not used the tools with previous vacuums but find with this one I do so more often.
