I bought this vacuum because of all the good reviews and I'm so glad I did! It's incredible how much this vacuum picks up. I have brand new carpet that's less than a month old and this vacuum still sucked up tons of dust and hair! I am very pleased!

I love shark vacuums. They are really good at picking up debris and pet hair! I’ve had three.

The photos are a bit misleading so would recommend that you see / try it in the store. Main gripes are: the brush head / base is fairly narrow so if you have a large floor area it will need more time to vacuum. The weight is mostly in the centre which makes the vacuum top heavy so a bit "tippy". The wand hose is not very flexible so awkward to use on stairs, edges etc , maybe it needs several months of use to loosen up. Overall it does a good job as an upright but as a lift away to me its just too awkward to manage.

My carpets look better than they have in a long time.

Good vacuum for the price. Needs a height setting however. Would buy again for quick clean up jobs

I bought this product because I needed a vacuum for my new apartment and after reading reviews on it and addition to never owning a Shark previously, I figured I'd give it a try. The vacuum wasn't too cheap or too expensive and priced just about right for a reputable Shark name right? Well... After using the vacuum for just about a week, I discovered multiple issues with this vacuum. 1. The power cord is absolutely horrible. No matter how neatly you wind it up, it will always be tangled when you go to use it because the material used to coat the wiring forms to the shape when you wind it up so untangling it is a nightmare. 2. Another issue with the power cord is the location at which it is connected to the vacuum. Because it connects at the bottom, no matter how much you hold it while you vacuum, you always end up stepping on it which is really aggravating. Also, the tangled mess seems to get sucked in the vacuum which it now has torn through the cable coating. 3. Next, is the hose. The hose extends as far as you can carry your vacuum. If you extend the hose further than 3 feet, the whole vacuum tips right over. 4. In regards to the sucking power of the vacuum, yeah its not too bad and it does swivel pretty well, but I dont have three other vacuums in my apartment to compare how much dust it picks up so for comparing it to itself, the sucking power isnt too bad. 5. CUSTOMER SERVICE. Just do not even bother contacting Shark customer service. I contacted them to address these issues and they told me to return it to Best Buy or pay to have the issues fixed. The price to fix the issues is about half the cost of the vacuum. Shark has literally the worst customer service out of any other company (I bet they will respond to this review and try to act like they will help, but actions speak louder than words). Overall, I would have returned this vacuum within a week of using it, but I bought it on Black Friday and left it in the box until I moved and it was well passed the Best Buy return policy.

Vacuumed up a lot of dirt. However this shark unlike my bosses model is Not east to empty ,& for some reason when using the handheld part , which is faulty didn't lock in. got a few small static shocks

Wife has to have a shark every time we get a new one and usually a new just cause she giving hers away to get a new one.

Bought vacuum maybe 2 yrs ago. Dirt container broke 6 months ago but thankfully I could still use it. Then I discovered yesterday that the hose split when i was losing suction. While a like the ease of going from carpet to hardwood floors and it being bagless it wasn’t worth wasting the money I spent on this vacuum. I expected it to last much longer then it did. Especially after reading the reviews. I had a Kirby for 15 years.....15 and my son is now using. Guess I will be dropping another chunk of change on a new vacuum.
