I'm very very happy with this vacuum. It's very light and small yet so powerful. I love that I can reach high stuff like the fan and blinds. The suction is amazing for such a small vacuum. I'm very impressed with the performance of this vacuum definitely recommend it.

I was looking for a small vacuum for my daughter to use at college. After reading all the reviews I decided on this one. It is great. The suction is strong and pulls dirt/dust out of the carpets amazingly. I was so impressed I bought another one to keep at home. It just has a light on the front. I attached a picture of all the dust it got out of my carpet in the living room. And I have a rainbow!! yuck!!

    Best Vacuum I've Ever Owned!!

I've been looking for a lightweight, inexpensive vacuum that will pick up pet hair for a long time. I watched a video review on this and thought it might be the one. I was so impressed I immediately called Best Buy, paid by phone, jumped in my car, and picked it up. I am so glad I did!! Pros: -Extremely lightweight and maneuverable (would be great for an older person) -Extremely powerful...quickly picks up that cat hair. Works better then the much more expensive vacuum I gave away after getting this one -Small, narrow, swivel power head fits just about anywhere (it fits under my dresser which has a 4" floor clearance) -Long power cord -Easy to empty and clean -Easy to store (it has hardware so you can hang it. I have so much more closet space now) -Cleans high areas such as ceiling fans easily -Beater bar turns off for bare floors -It came with nice attachments -The price is right!! I couldn't be happier with this vacuum and look forward to vacuuming my house now. It's actually fun to use it! I can vacuum my entire house quickly without getting tired or getting a backache... even my 14 step staircase! Cons: There is only one small thing. It won't stand up on it's own. However it leans nicely in a standing position against the wall without falling and even has rubber on the back to protect the wall. *I highly recommend this vacuum. It would make a nice gift also!!

Great handheld without the battery woes

I bought this to replace/supplement my Dyson handheld. I was having some battery issues where the Dyson would randomly shut off and sometimes not even turn on. I personally love the concept of these new handhelds and was very pleased with the power and versatility of this model. And of course, the price was definitely a huge plus. Comparing the Shark Rocket with the Dyson handheld, here is how it breaks down. Carpet goes to the Shark Rocket, the corded power of the brush head had the Dyson destroyed when it came to carpets. Hard floors was a pretty easy win for the Dyson, the Shark has a hard floor attachment but it requires a cleaning pad that needs to be washed after pretty much every use and the brush head doesn't clean hard floors that well. Ease of use goes to the Dyson hands down, no cords and no need to say more. Price is a clear cut win for the Shark, almost 100% as good as the Dyson for less than 50% of the price... These are the only two real contenders for the new class of handheld uprights and the only reason to buy the Dyson over the Shark is for the cordless convenience, but that's only if that convenience is worth about an extra $100-200.

This is the absolute best, lightweight vacuum that I could’ve dreamed of…. I was used to my big, bulky vacuum until I started having some back issues and decided to try something different. Went with this item since it’s inexpensive and the colors are vibrant. Truly didn’t think it would become my main vacuum but just something for the kitchen, laundry and hallways. However, when I go to the utility closet, I almost always reach for this vacuum and overlook the other two since it picks up extremely well, it’s easy to empty/clean, it’s not at all loud, has a very long cord and did I mention it’s light as a feather!?! If you’re on the fence about this product just buy it already…it’s inexpensive, does an excellent job and hangs beautifully on my wall (with accessory).

OK, so I have always been a Dyson fan, in the same way that I am an Apple fan and would NEVER EVER buy a windows PC EVER. So when it was time to get a new vacuum cleaner, I went directly to the Dyson selection. My most recent Dyson was a cylinder style animal and I have enjoyed using this model with the exception of emptying the canister - oh dear god, what a pain in the butt that is . There is no way to empty the cylinder of this unit without getting completely covered in the dirt that you have just extracted from your home. I hate emptying the cylinder, so when when I was shown the Shark Rocket, I was intrigued by the apparent ease of cylinder emptying. However, I was skeptical that the Shark could compete with the suction of my Dyson Animal. However, I decided to give the Shark a chance, particularly since it was less than half the price of any Dyson in the store. I am converted, I never thought anything could compete with a Dyson, but I was wrong, this Shark is fantastic, not only is it lighter and easier to use that the Dyson, it is so simple to empty and less than half the price. I am so happy with my Shark. That said, it remains highly unlikely that I will ever consider buying a PC, but as far as vacuums go, I have switched to Shark!

I have always been a huge fan of Shark vacuums and this one was even better than the rest. I purchased it primarily for hardwood floors and tile as its one of the few that doesn't shoot dust out the back...surprisingly it did exceptionally well on the one carpeted room we have as well. Its very sturdy and the cord is really long so I dont have to change plugs half way through the routine. Incredible suction, extremely easy to dump the dust cup, reasonably lightweight, easy turn head and flat enough to slide under stools and tables....Im more than impressed with this vacuum! Only negative is the way it looks...strange orange/rust color....but since it comes with a convenient wall mount hanger I just hide it in the laundry room so yeah... it was worth the discount for the ugly color!

Great forl everyday clean ups and maintenance. Easy to maneuver. Came with both carpet and hard floor attachments which was perfect for my house. The unit is light weight and powerful and the long electric cord is a good compromise between mobility and not running our of charge. At a discounted price of $139 with the hard floor attachment, this vacuum is a lot of bang for the buck.

It sucks...which in this case is a great thing! Great suction power, light weight, and easy maneuverability! Spent the first day vacuuming everything and was I surprised when I emptied the vacuum, it collected so much hair and dust! Attachments are also great! I have a dog that loves my couches but he leaves so much hair behind and it was nearly impossible to remove the hair with lint rollers and it was a hassle to take out and lug around the old, large traditional vacuum that took forever to pick up simple dog hair. With this vacuum I just connect the upholstery tool and I'm finished vacuuming the dog hair in about 5 minutes or less. I mainly bought this vacuum because I hated sweeping and wanted something that would do the job much easier and the Shark Rocket does that and much much more! So believe the hype and the reviews, you wont be disappointed!

Easy to carry from room to room, the attachments are easy to change and it's very easy to empty the cannister. Very maneuverable and can reach far under furniture. Limitless power means you don't have to stop to recharge a battery, and the cord is long so you don't have reposition to multiple outlets. Very happy with this purchase!

I am so glad that I decided to buy the rocket. I looked a lot and decided that for the money, this stick vacuum had the most important features for us for the price. The cord is long and rarely pulls taught, the attachments are great for different jobs and changing them out is quick and simple. We wanted something lightweight for fast clean ups during the move/ renovation process but this has become our primary vacuum. It is easy to empty and the filter is easy to keep clean. I not only would recommend this to a friend, I already have! We lovingly refer to this by brand name and couldn't be more pleased with the versatility and ease of use. I understand that there is a higher quality version but I can't speak to the cost/benefit of the other option.

Easy to store, lightweight but powerful. Numerous attachments for everything. Convenient to empty and maneuver. Only thing is that it doesn't stand up on its own. That's ok with me. I'd rather lay it down than have it fall over.

I'm surprised this little cordless replaced my Dyson canister vac. I have been pleasantly surprised at its power and performance. The attachments attach and detach easily with a nice click. After using it for several weeks I understand why Dyson chooses a cordless option - emptying the bin. It can be a bit annoying to have to unplug the vac to walk to a bin. That said, I prefer the cord because it always takes longer than 20 minutes to clean the first floor of our house (where I use this vacuum) but I can carry a bin with me so I don't have to unplug. I'm pleased now - after a few weeks - but I'll be interested to see how I feel in a year. Vacuums often perform great at first and slowly fail over time. This one offers washable filters and parts that look easy to clean so I am hopeful it will be able to keep up its performance.

So far I’ve been quite impressed. I had to empty the little dust cup three times on its first shakedown cruise and I had just vacuumed with my Dyson five days earlier. One of the reasons, I got this was for our carpeted stairs. (Most of our 1100sqft house is bare floor with area rugs. Clearly, our Dyson wasn’t doing the job.) I am also a senior citizen with arthritis, and lugging the Dyson canister around was increasingly difficult. I had no issues at all using this Shark. I didn’t feel like my arm/wrist tired easily like others have stated. (And maybe that’s compared to lugging around the Dyson.) Static electricity—especially in winter here—means not all the dirt and lint shakes easily out of the cup. But it’s the same way with my Dyson. I think this Shark stick is going to be my preferred vacuum for our small house. I may even get rid of the Dyson altogether.

After shopping around and looking at every bagless stick vacuum out there, I decided to spend a little extra and get this one. I'm so happy I did! Great suction, easy to use, maneuverable, long cord, lots of attachments. It takes the chore out of vacuuming. :)
