This Shark Steam and Scrub Steam Mop offers outstanding cleaning power and a lightweight, easy to handle design. The steering and maneuverability are remarkable, and make cleaning my hard floors as easy as can be. The smooth handling, low-profile design allows me to reach tight spaces around the house with ease. It is perfect for scrubbing big or small areas around the house. Even though it is compact and lightweight, I was quite impressed with how effective it is at cleaning and sanitizing hard floors. The cleaning method it uses is a combination of steam and rotating heavy-duty cleaning pads. I really like that after it is used, all that remains is a very slight dampness that quickly dries, unlike a traditional mop. It features 3 cleaning levels: Light, Normal, and Deep. Included is a water filling flask, and I was surprised by how little water it takes to fill the reservoir, and how long it lasted with the water tank filled. I used it on the Normal setting, and was able to clean my Master Bath, Home Office, and Living Room one one and half tanks of water. The water reservoir is very easy to fill because it takes so little water and thankfully there is no dirty water reservoir to drain. It feels very well built and is exactly what I would expect at this price point. The cleaning pads are suitably heavy duty, and I expect them to last quite awhile. Shark has included 2 extra cleaning pads, for a total of four in the package. The cleaning pads are washable, but what I have been doing is hand washing them with dish detergent. It features bright LED lights that are useful for illuminating hard to see areas. Another great feature is the 22 foot long power cord that minimizes the amount of times that I have to change outlets.

Game changer for cleaning wooden and tiled floors! Previously used a standard steam mop and since using this, realized just how significantly better this cleans in comparison. The electric cable is very long, so you do not have to keep unplugging and re-plugging every couple of minutes. Water tank lasts long enough and I only needed to refill once to clean the entire downstairs floors. All in all, very happy indeed with this purchase and definitely recommend!

Overall it’s a good product but can definitely be improved. I wish it had a nozzle to spray cleaning products which is useful while steaming the floor to get that extra shine on your tiles, since you can only put pure water in the machine. For tough floor stains you need to pause and hold to get the stains out. I had to buy extra pads from Amazon so that I can steam my entire home without stopping for washing the pads halfway as they get dirty quite quickly. Final note - the cord is long enough but it would be pretty great to have a cordless version in the future.

If you are looking for a easy to use method to mop and sanitize your hard floors this might be what you've been looking for. Packaging was really simple and frustration free. Inside you get the steamer and handle (which snap together very simply.) 4 microfiber pads that attach to the bottom snapping into place. You also get a handy pour funnel to easily fill the steam mop with water. The microfiber pads are machine washable and I found them to come out looking good as new after a wash. The cord is plenty long allowing you to get pretty far with this thing without having to switch outlets every few feet. So you fill it up the tank with water the directions recommend distilled, I used tap and worked fine. Takes about 30 seconds before the steam is puffing out and then you can select low, medium or high speeds and go to town on your floors. I found the mop worked best not on old baked on crusty things on the floor. It did a nice job on my laminate tiles and I like that it doesn't use any harsh chemicals to clean the floors. Overall if have already wanted to try a steam mop I would suggest this one.

I love the Shark Steam and Scrub steam mop! This is my third Shark steam mop but first with the rotating heads - what a game changer! No more mop buckets and filthy water. Cleaning hard floors has never been easier - and effortless. If you’ve ever used a Shark Steam cleaner, this will be just as familiar. Fill the water chamber, which is easier now with it's flip top cap rather than screw on like previous models. Snap on the two scrubbing heads which have a plastic guide ring and velcro to hold them in place. Select your cleaning mode - there are three to choose from, light, normal and deep cleaning - lower the handle and away you go. The rotating heads do all the work. And it has headlights to light up your way! The unit glides across the floor with minimal effort and the swivel head makes it easy to get into all your corners. Some dried on spills did take multiple passes to remove but this was expected. I feel that the efficiency and ease of use will have me cleaning my floors much more frequently than if I had to use a mop and bucket. A couple things I noticed while using the Steam Mop. The instructions say to lower the handle which starts the rotating head (similar to most Shark vacuums) and wait about 30 seconds for the steam to begin flowing. I found that just selecting the mode while the unit is standing begins the steam, once this happens then lower the handle to begin your task. The instructions also say to press the mode button to stop the unit. Simply standing the handle back up serves the same purpose. Finally, the cord seems extra long giving you a huge range of movement without having to change the plug location. It did seem to take a minute or so to saturate the pads with enough moisture to actually begin scrubbing my floors but once it started, cleaning was quick. The steam warms the floor so drying time is greatly reduced. Pad care is also just as easy, peel them off and toss them in the washer then line dry. The instructions indicate that the scrubbing pads should last about four months with normal use and extras are available. This unit comes with two sets, four pads. I highly recommend the Shark Steam and Scrub Steam Mop for anyone who has hard floors!

This is a small, lightweight mop which cleans nicely in small tight spaces. There are 2 led lights on either side which are great for lighting up darker places like under cabinets or behind the toilet. There are 3 speeds for light, medium & deep cleaning depending on the surface. The steam starts heating up in about a minute & there is a very long cord, I plugged into my kitchen outlet & was able to reach into the living room. I have 5 different hard surface floors & I tried on each one. I used the normal setting for my bathroom tile floor & it cleaned very deeply into some stains that were embedded & never removed by my older spin mop. My hardwood floors got very clean on the deep setting, the white pads were very dirty after cleaning this floor. My vinyl kitchen floor cleaned well on the light setting without dulling it. I used it on a laminate floor on light setting & that cleaned well also. We also have waxed commercial flooring in a rec room & it warns of dulling on a waxed floor which is what it did so I’d use it with caution on a waxed floor. This is suppose to clean & sanitize at the same time but additional steps are needed for sanitization. I thought this did a pretty good job on all the flooring I have but there are just a few things that I didn’t like & the reason for 4 stars. The water tank is very small & a filling flask is included but it is a bit messy to fill & tends to run down the front & a bit easy to overfill which really pours down the front. I was able to clean about 2 1/2 average size floors before refilling. Also you have to scroll through the modes , it doesn’t have an on/off switch so it’s live all the time. Also it spins constantly till the steam starts. Those are the only things I wasn’t too crazy about but it was very easy to set up & I love the fact that no chemicals are needed for cleaning.

In essence a steam mop needs only to be a simple device, one which can create steam heat and scrub your hard floors with a replaceable cleaning pad. In this case, the Shark Steam & Scrub does exactly that, but adds comfort by removing a lot of the manual work needed to perform the scrubbing. It uses two rotating disks, with 3 adjustable speed levels, to automatically scrub the floor, with little to no manual force needed to get into the floor and buff stains out. The open question from this then is: how well does it actually scrub? The answer is, very well! As mentioned earlier, there are three modes called light, normal, and deep, which essentially correspond to slow, medium, and fast when it comes to scrubbing. As the names suggest, these modes are designed to target different levels of stains and grime, with normal being the best option for regular cleaning, light being mostly for touch-ups, and deep being for all other heavier cases. We used deep mode on some of our older sealed floors and the machine did a very good job of cleaning-up, so much so that we didn’t feel much need to do any spot scrubbing with our manual steam mop. We have a variety of hard floor surfaces in our house, including stone, tile, & hard wood. The steam and scrub performed equally well on each, with no real complaints in terms of performance. Likewise, the water reservoir holds plenty of water (the recommendation is to used distilled water) and managed to clean most of our necessary surfaces without needing to resupply. On a logistics from, the unit comes with 4 pads, all of which are machine washable, as well as a plastic cup for filling the reservoir. The power cord attached to the machine is also very long at 22ft, which is quite convenient & helps with some of our larger rooms.

My wife and I recently purchased a new home which has linoleum floors throughout most of the living areas. We also live in a dusty area since there is no grass yet. Needless to say, a lot of dirt gets tracked in and makes the floors yucky. This steam mop is amazing! It works incredibly well at cleaning our floors and making them feel great to walk on and look beautiful. It amazes me how well the steam works at releasing stains - very effective. As far as use, it has a pretty long cord as well so you can cover a large area of floor.
