Works great on hardwood and carpet! No regrets about this purchase!

So happy a Best Buy employee suggested this vacuum cleaner. It's lightweight, easy to use and reach hard-to-access areas, and it takes up so little storage room. Best vacuum I've ever used.

My wife wanted a wireless vacuum and this one definitely answered the bell. Last for 60 minutes and it recharges in a couple of hours. It works just like our Dyson and picks really good.

I recently bought the vertex. I love it on my floors, but the rug in our family room is thick and it’s just too hard to push. So we have to pull out our old vacuum to clean that rug, which is a disappointment. I’d like to be able to vacuum everything with one cleaner. It does work okay on the thinner rugs.

Lightweight easy to use, and versatile a definite.

Wanted something light but powerful and that is exactly what Shark delivered. With two house dogs and two cats there is always hair to feed this beast of a machine. To date it has handled wood floors, to heavy carpet and we have no complaints. The ability to change the angle of the down tube makes it extremely easy to clean under beds and other furniture.

I bought this to replace my Dyson cordless vacuum. I really like it because of the many features and options. My only complaint is that it is very heavy.

The Shark Vertex DuoClean is a powerful cordless stick vacuum in a lightweight package. Use the vacuum to clean hard flooring or carpet, or detach the vacuum from the wand to use as a handheld vacuum. The Vertex comes with three handheld attachments; a crevice tool, a brush tool, and a surface duster. The Shark Vertex Duo comes packed with recyclable materials instead of the usual plastic. It has removable yellow labels on different parts of the vacuum, pointing out features and how to use the vacuum. The Vertex DuoClean includes updated features over the original Shark DuoClean model. This unit has a single, removable battery that lasts up to 60 minutes, vs. two, 30-minute batteries in the original model. It also has a new surface dusting tool addition to the expected crevice and brush tools. You can charge the battery while attached to the vacuum, or removed; on the original model, you could charge the battery only when removed from the vacuum. The roller brush has alternating fins designed to eliminate “hair wrap.” I have not had this vacuum long enough to verify this feature. I used the Vertex on hard floors, an area rug, a rugged door mat, and upholstered patio furniture. It did a good job removing dirt, grit and pet hair from all of these surfaces. The vacuum has a small footprint and folds easily for storage. Its blue and silver, updated design is attractive and functional. If you want a versatile, easy-to-use cordless vacuum, consider this one.
