I have been using this for about a week and I love it. This vacuum is picking up stuff that I thought was a clean room. I have a Dyson and I have been using that for yrs. I decided to switch because I wanted to try something that help with hair tangling in the brushes. This vacuum is amazing since we have a new pet at home. The other great feature is the long power cord. I don't have to unplug and find an outlet for my upstairs. Negative - Issues with FedEx delivery. The original did not ship but indicate that it was delivered. I work from home so they lied.

We moved up to this vacuum after having a 10 year old model that was barely functional. What a night-and-day difference. This model feels great to use and has so much functionality. And most importantly, it has fantastic sucking power. One pass-over is all you need to pick up everything - from dust to big chunks to cat hair. It sucks up cat litter supremely well. The different ways you can use it - from the lift-away to just the main vacuum to get under the bed to the long handle for reaching vents up on the wall - make the price worth it by far.

That's so much power! It's awesome! I put it through a huge challenge getting all the long hair and pet hair from the whole house. It was so easy to clean after, I did have to go there and clear the soft roller of hair once. I'm shocked of how much dirt it picked up and how powerful it is. You actually need some good grip on it so it wont just go away without you (joking).

Shark Vertex Vacuum. This is a powerful vacuum. Cleans well. Easy to use.

I have been a Shark customer for years, and I was always impressed with the quality and durability of each product. However, this vacuum far exceeds my previous love for Shark. I have an area rug in my living room, and I vacuum it twice a week. Now, not much traffic comes through, so I thought it was clean and had very few dirt particles in the rug. When I used the deep clean for thick rugs, I couldn't believe the dirt and debris it vacuumed up. My rug felt cleaner and softer afterward. This is an excellent product, and I highly recommend it to everyone.

I purchased this vacuum a few weeks ago and, thus far, I am thoroughly impressed with it. It replaced a 10 year old+ Shark vacuum that sadly loss it’s will to live. First, this vacuum is powerful! After first use, I was amazed (shocked) at the amount of dust and dirt it pulled from our rugs with ease. Second, this is a very versatile cleaner. The lift away feature is great for cleaning in high and tight areas and all of the attachments are useful and easily accessible. Third, it seems very sturdy and intuitive. You can tell Shark listens to customers and makes tweaks to each model, which makes the vacuum’s buttons/release mechanisms just make sense and are easily found. Lastly, this vacuum is reasonably priced, when compared to competitors (Dyson, etc) and Best Buy also had a great sale. If you want a vacuum that is “old school” (corded and not internet enabled) and gets the job done well, I highly recommend.

Finally a vacuum that does not clog or get the belt messed up from pet hair. Incredible suction and easy to use.

I really enjoy using this vacuum (if vacuuming can actually be enjoyable) because it has a lot of suction and is very easy to maneuver. I especially like the ease with which the canister comes apart from the floor part. The controls are intuitive and convenient. I’m very pleased with my purchase and would buy this brand again, based on the performance of this product.

This is truly an amazing vacuum. I have a cat and have long hair myself, I can confidently say this vacuum does an excellent job picking up hair and dirt off of various surfaces. The hair never gets tangled in the brush which is a huge plus. It is super easy to empty once it begins filling up. It is very easy to maneuver as well. Zero complaints!

This vacuum cleaner is hands down the best I've ever owned. It's suction is powerful enough to easily remove all three of my cat's hair off my carpets and hardwood floors.

Clickbaity title, but the Shark Vortex does its job phenomenally. I love the ability to disconnect the handle for quick pickup. You can disconnect further down for longer reach and you can disconnect the tank to vacuum under very hard to reach places. My only complaint if it could be that, is the suction is poweful enough to pull the Vortex away from you, so a 5 or 6 year old attempting to vacuum might have problems.

Bought this to replace a 15 year old Hoover Windtunnel. As other reviews state, the suction on this is VERY POWERFUL. There is a flagged caution note on the cord near the plug saying "Do not run the vaccuum over the cord while in operation to prevent damage." They mean it. My teenage son wasn't careful and ran the vacuum over the cord and it sucked right up and nicked the protective casing.

Love how clean this makes my carpet look and feel. I have a lot of carpet and a keep a dog friendly household. The self propelled feature helps glide across even a thicker carpet and the fins really get down to pickup everything without getting matted with hair. Also works great on hard surfaces, and maneuvers through tight spaces perfectly due to how it swivels. Lift of feature is quick and easy. Only thing keeping it from 5 stars is the size of the canister as I would like it to be a little larger. Extremely happy with this purchase.

Excellent suction, easy to maneuver and easy to clean

This vacuum has held up well throughout the years. I did have to replace it once but I had warranty so it was an easy swap.

I've nothing bad to say. A One UP goodness, is -no-belt- too eventually dry-out and become hard. That is what ended my like afair w/ my SHARP, which did very well. Handled nicely. No longer made. I habveon used the SHARK much. It gathered a LOT of crap out of my dense wool carpet where I did use it. I like being able to see how much is accumulated in the canister, and it is easy to dump, and if one wanted to, wash.

I wasn’t sure about which model to purchase and the salesman directed me to this model as he had one himself. Really works well on dog hair! Settings for flooring and carpeting. Easy to empty container and move around the floor. One of the best vacuums I’ve bought and I highly recommend it.
