We own 3 dogs and 2 cats. We have owned many vacuums over the years. Just bought this Shark 3 months ago.It works great on carpets and bare floors.So far we are very happy.

I would give this a five-star for what it sucks up from the ground. It really does a great job. But my downside is that it is extremely heavy. Really tough to use on stairs.

Very happy with my purchase. I really like this vacuum. It picks up a lot and seems to be very sturdy. Like the fact that you can lift away a part of the vacuum and carry around a smaller version when you don't need the full vacuum.

The vacuum got into the pile of my carpet and picked up a lot of trapped dirt. I would recommend this vacuum. It was highly rated on consumer reports.

I have had this vacuum for a little over a month and so far I am very happy with the purchase even at $400 ! It’s the best vacuum I’ve ever used. The thing has awesome suction and I have yet to even get one strand of hair tangled in the spinner. I may buy a second one for upstairs. The only gripe that I have is I wish the cord was a little longer.

Light weight, easy to push, great on carpeted steps and easy to empty.

I bought this to replace my previous Shark Rotator Pet Pro that developed a hole in the hose. This new vaccum did not disappoint. Another perk is that the different attachments are interchangeable. This provides a little extra life for my old vaccum and my powered pet brush roll attachment.

This is by far the best upright vacuum I have ever used. The suction is incredible. I have 3 dogs and 2 cats, so vacuuming is a must everyday and I feel like I get it done in half the time with this model.

Absolutely best upright I have ever owned. No odor. I love that you can vacuum deep carpets, low carpets and switches to hard floor with just the slide of the button. Would purchase again!!

Great vacuum with many options. Gets the job done.

This vacuum cleaner works well - when it worked. A year and a month after purchase, the self-cleaning brush roll stopped operating. We take excellent care of our vacuums - constantly checking hoses, filters, and cleaning brush rolls. There was no reason, and no warning, behind the brush roll motor becoming inoperative. The company states that the entire "floor nozzle", including the brush rolls and the motor, are not covered under the warranty. It is another $50 dollars to have a new one sent out. It is also back-ordered and will take a month to arrive. For the vacuum, while it operated: suction was great, easy to clean, easy filter changes, three different settings for low/high pile and bare floor. We have three sharks, two of which are still operating after several years and two long-haired dogs, but this was supposed to be the "VERTEX" of the line - and it, in my experience, has been the nadir.

I went from a cordless vacuum and vowed I would never get a corded vacuum again, but this vacuum has changed my outlook. The only reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 was because the tank isn’t huge and needs to be emptied frequently but not hard to do.

Strong suction! Cleans like a champ but it is too heavy.

I have had multiple vacuums, this one is the best. No need to sweep afterwards it picks up everything and the attachments are great as well. I use it on fans, a/c vents almost everything

Coming from a Dyson user, I really like this vacuum. It's easy to use and works great. My only issue is the cord could be 1-2 feet longer.

We bought this vacuum this weekend to replace our old shark that the kids crash tested into the walls and everything. We fired up this bad boy and it picked up everything, We love it so far I would say they went a bit cheaper on the attachments compaired to my old APEX.

We purchased this new Shark Vertex DuoClean vacuum to replace our old Dyson vacuum, and what a difference. The Shark Vertex DuoClean has tons more suction power and much better filtration than old vacuum. I would highly recommend this vacuum and it will save you a lot of money!

We adopted a long haired stray! I needed a vacuum that did not wrap the hair around the roller. This vacuum does the job!

Nice vacuum cleaner with plenty of suction. I like how I can go from Upright to a Canister type to reach under the beds and other hard to get places. Picks up the debris very well. It's amazing on hard floors. Great on carpet but it does require a little bit effort as the suction is pretty good.
