This vacuum is very heavy. The cord also gets in the way very easily. Too easily in fact. Despite my best efforts I vacuumed the cord up slightly and it destroyed the cord. It is very hard to maneuver due to the weight. When using the handle attachment, the tubing to the vacuum is very springy and doesn't stretch very far. I ended up knocking over the vacuum while using this feature and denting my hard wood floor. I am returning this vacuum due to these reasons. I will be purchasing a hand held vacuum instead. With that said, the vacuum is powerful and does do a good job vacuuming but is hard to use and is heavy.

The shark is unbeatable with power, suction, speed and reliability. The only thing I would say it’s a tad heavy and pulls you if your on high carpet. Other than this easy set up, sucks up dog hair with ease and has a nice light on front! For the price try to catch a sale!

This is a great vacuum, I have been vacuuming regularly, but on the same carpet which I just vacuumed, i was surprised with the amount of dust it sucked. A little on the heavier side tho.

This vacuum is amazing! I have a disability which prevents me from doing almost every household task one could imagine. The tasks I am able to attempt must be done with extreme care, and I must limit the time I do the particular task. My wife bought a "robo-vacuum" - you know the one. They hare circular in form, and are self guided. Those robo-vacuums are great on hardwood and tile. We thought the rob-vac was doing a good job on the (very) low-pile rug, but we were mistaken. One pass with this Shark Vacuum was all it took to realize how much dirt the robo-vac was missing! We were shocked! The Shark is so powerful! Thanks to the self propelling action of this vac, I can manage using it for about 5 minutes at a time and my wife can clean the house in 20 mins. This is a step up at multiple levels from previous dirt devil, huge difference in suction, motor noise, ease of use and quality. Totally worth it.

Great vacuum. It does a great job on carpet and hard floors. Easy to clean debris when needed. It is a little heavy however. Overall, a very good vacuum.

Love this vacuum. It has great suction, lightweight, and easy to maneuver. I had a Shark cordless which I really liked because I didn't want to fuss with a cord but I am glad I got this in its place. With the lift-away power head it has so much flexibility - ceilings, stairs, or whatever.

If you have pets, this is the vacuum for you. I could not believe the amount of dog hair it pulled out, even after we had carpets cleaned. It is slightly weighty but you have to decide if you want clean soft carpet, or something easy to just pick up surface items.

Oh my god...This is the best vacuum I've ever owned. More power than expected and so easy to use. Assembly took less than 5 minutes and it performs so good that it's hard to believe that I hadn't purchased one before this. I'm a retired Custodian and have used some pretty good equipment, this vacuum blows them all away.

This is a great vacuum! Light weight, easy to move and has great suction- even for pet hair. Attachments are ideal for hard to reach places or detailed locations. Easy to empty and clean. Great on carpet or hard surfaces.

This is my second shark that i've bought. This is hands down the best vacuum we have ever bought. This thing has more power then anything out there. All the simple things that it does really makes it easy to get into every spot. Would buy this again in a heart beat.

Great Vacuum! Can’t beat the quality of a shark. Our last one lasted us just over 10 years.

Purchased this in October and it worked well until it completely stopped working three months later. Thankfully, it was effortlessly exchanged for a new one at the store. A few of the things I like: great suction on both flat and carpeted surfaces; LED lights are bright; ease of emptying canister with the drop bottom door= brilliant! Room for improvement: lights turn off when detaching handle to use accessories- tricky to see when using in dark corners and underneath furniture; the rubber tip of the accessory end is slanted, which prevents adequate suction in corners- maddening when trying to get lady bugs in corners! Will see how this new replacement fares. I’ve been a loyal fan of Shark for many years and refuse to try other brands.

Live, love and use regularly. I couldn’t imagine not using this vacuum ever. I will say it’s so worth the money this vacuum is worth every penny it’s so powerful. Works wonderful on hard floors area rugs and thick carpets.

Love this vacuum! Great suction! My carpets looks cleaner than they did with my old Shark. Two things I don’t like are (reason for the 4 stars instead of 5): no light on the wand and you have to really push hard to get it back into place. When I don’t it comes out while I’m vacuuming and is very annoying.

Okay, this Vacuum was one of the best purchases I’ve ever made for my home. Period. It’s super powerful. I had a shark rocket before this and I didn’t think it could get better than that. However, I bought this vacuum because my other was getting worn out. I mean, the amount of dirt that came out of my floor after the first use was just amazing. I was so satisfied!!! And even today, it still surprises me. I use it at least once a week to keep up with our dog. Who sheds a ton. And when they say it has anti hair wrap technology, they mean that you will never have to clean the brush roll. LIKE EVER! I had to clean the hair off my other shark after every use, this one I haven’t had to clean it once. And I check the brush rolls after every use. Just to be safe. I just love it! It’s super convenient, well built and it always leaves me feeling good about the floor that I walk on. If your thinking about it, just do it! You will not be disappointed!!!

I needed a vacuum that would pick up cat litter. This vacuum does do this. I only vacuum about twice a week and we have 4 cats. So, it gets a workout. When I assembled it. it didn't work. I called Shark and the person I spoke to had me reassemble it. It worked The vacuum I got this about 3 weeks ago and am still getting used to it. It stopped working right after I got it. I cleaned out the filter and let it cool off and it started working. . so far it works well with great suction and so far it does the job. Can't evaluate the reliability but Shark vacuums have a good reputation. Because of this and the other issues I gave 4 stars

I really wanted to love this vacuum, but I don’t. I’ve had it for a little over a month and used it a lot in that time. I loved my last Shark vacuum and felt like the designers did everything right with it. I figured upgrading to this beauty would provide me all that and more. The only “more” it provided is suction. I suppose there are a few good things I can say about it: It is pretty. I do not get as much hair wrapped around the roller as I did with my old vacuum, though it’s not 100% efficient with that. And...that’s about it. The CONS: Oh, the cons. :-( It lacks some of the greatest features of past Shark vacuums. There’s no light incorporated into the handle, so when you remove the handle to use an attachment, no illumination. I thought about taking the hose and handle from my old vacuum and using it on this one, but I didn’t pay over $400 for a vacuum to end up scrapping out parts from my old vacuum. The crevice tool doesn’t have the retractable brush on it. I’m sure there are reasons why some people might like the new design with “nubbies” on the end, but I do not. I don’t even know what to do with those...??? The small motorized brush attachment is narrower than my old one, so I find myself using the old one with my new vacuum. I miss the ease with which I could detach the canister with one hand on my old vacuum. Now I need two hands for that. It’s almost like Shark designers thought, “We can’t possibly give our customers more suction AND all of the great features of our past models, but if we charge $400 for it, maybe they’ll THINK it’s better since it’s so expensive.” Alas, this customer is not fooled. I really wish this vacuum wasn’t such a disappointment. My return period at Best Buy has ended, so I will be contacting Shark to find out how to return it. Just yesterday, I started having trouble getting it to turn on. There seems to be a short in the switch. I will probably go back to a less expensive model that may not have as much suction as this one, but will “suck” a lot less overall.
