Picked this one up and it is a cleaning powerhouse. The hand held attachment is powered and does a great job pulling pet hair off furniture

When it became difficult to get parts, the repair shop suggested a ball design, which I didn't want. When it finally died, I bought the Shark Vertex and to my surprise, I liked it better then the Dyson. I saved some money too!

Glad I purchased the Shark Vertex Duo Cleam

This works does the job on tile floors and also thick carpet. Easy to navigate with the swivel. I like that I don't have to clean dog hair and my long hair out of the roller brush. My only complaint is I wish the power wand and hand held had lights in them like my older one. Other than that I have no complaints.

Instead, we just had to thoroughly clean the filter and ultimately replace the filters on the old one. This one has worked so far, but we haven't used that incredibly much. We have several pets, and this one seems to collect the hair well.

Works on plush carpet

I recently got new carpet in my upstairs and it was more plush than my previous carpet. My other shark vacuum would not work on the carpet. This vacuum lets you adjust to low or high pile carpet or floor. It works great.
