Oh my vacuum had broken having so much longhair in the house I wanted the soft roller vacuum kind of got tired of cutting out all the dog hair and people hair. May sound weird but I waited and waited before I tried it I wanted to see how much dust went and hair I could pick up. Was totally surprised when the dust bin started filling up with things I was never expecting has a deeper cleaning send the older model of the left away and big bonus not one strand of hair wrapped around either of the rollers. Had to empty the dust bin three times as I vacuumed all the furniture as well did a great job and carpet rugs hard floors works very well on fabric rugs without eating them those in neoprene rugs got sucked up right away and I love the fact that you can keep two of the attachments that you use the most write down the machine. The only downside it’s a bit heavier than the older model of the shark lift away.

Updated our house with LVP all over and a new white dog. Needed a vacuum that could handle the additional mess and take care of carpet and gentle enough for the floors. Research indicated this was the unit to do the trick and was an upgrade from our previous Shark. I have not been disappointed with the decision so far. Really like the versatility of detaching the canister to get at the hard to reach places and attachments work well in cleaning up the couches. Plenty of power to get the job done and doesn’t blow the hair and dust all over. Feels like I’m cleaning the air as I vacuum. Only possible shortcoming would be the relatively small size of the bin and length of the cord. Best Buy matched the price after it went on sale which is a bonus!

First off, let me say Best Buy's FREE same-day delivery is incredible. I purchased this Shark Vertex DuoClean vacuum around 12:30 p.m. and it was delivered to my door at 3:10 p.m. I don't live in a big metro area, so it's quite amazing that Best Buy is doing this. Now, about the Shark Vertex DuoClean. After two thorough uses around the house I can confidently say this vacuum is as advertised. The suction is off the charts. The ease of use, how it glides across all surfaces and turns effortlessly, makes it one of the best, if not, the best, vacuum I've used. Just be sure to have the correct height setting selected to match the surface you're cleaning. Otherwise it will suck up areas rugs and jam the front roller. The only negative I have is the cord management. For the price Shark should have worked a retractable cord into their design. Not a deal breaker, but the cord can get in the way so you have to manage it at the same time you're vacuuming.

The suction is very great on the vacuum. I don’t have any cons. It’s very simple to use and maneuver around. It can get heavy but that’s something I can get used to since the vacuum itself is really great!

I have previously been a devout Dyson fan, unfortunately our upright went down on us a few months back. We decided to go with something different for once to see how it compares. I will tell you that this vacuum has stronger suction than our older Dyson(dc 18). Its features are far better, I love the ability to take it off its base and go around the room with it. I used it to clean my car(with an extention cord) and the suction was insane. It works great on both hardwood and carpet, and it feels just as light as our ball vacuum did. As for longevity, I cannot say as I havent owned it long enough, but if things keep going as they are, I think i may be switching brands for good.

Excellent suction. Lightweight and easy to maneuver. Easy to see dirt in canister and empty it. Detached from base to to the stairs, was slightly awkward, but better than old vacuum.

The Shark Vertex DuoClean PowerFin Upright Vacuum is an absolute powerhouse! The suction is incredibly strong, and it easily picks up pet hair, dirt, and debris from both carpets and hard floors. The DuoClean and PowerFin technology really make a difference, everything feels cleaner after just one pass. I also love the Powered Lift-Away feature, which makes it easy to clean under furniture and above-floor areas. The self-cleaning brushroll is a game changer. No more cutting tangled hair! The vacuum feels high-quality and looks beautiful in the rose gold finish. The only drawback is the weight. It’s a bit on the heavy side, especially when moving it up and down stairs or doing longer cleaning sessions. However, the excellent cleaning performance more than makes up for it. Overall, it’s a fantastic vacuum for anyone looking for deep cleaning power and advanced features—just be prepared for a little arm workout!

An amazing upright vacuum cleaner! We previously had an overpriced big named brand vacuum that was a gift and worked OK. Well...after picking up our Shark Vertex, we were excited to use it right away. We vacuumed and the canister filled up like we hadn't vacuumed since the carpets were installed. These are bedroom carpets, installed over the last two years, and had even been vacuumed the day before with the old vacuum. We were shocked at what the old vacuum wasn't picking up. The Vertex opens up easily and access to the filters is simple for washing them out/replacing. The main canister section coming off makes this a great vacuum for getting under those areas you could never vacuum before. The only thing I could consider a CON on this vacuum is the self-propelled movement takes getting used to if you've previously had a vacuum you had to manually push.

Wowza!!! I don't consider myself a vacuum connoisseur, but this beauty is simply spectacular! I recently had my carpets professionally cleaned, and within weeks of doing so,i purchased this vacuum cleaner. I wasn't expecting to find much dirt/dust upon using this,as they'd just been cleaned, but this little number has such power that it filled the container within the first room being done!! Where did it find all that dirt!!! I've never achieved the level of carpet cleaning like I have with this model!!! I'm impressed, and that's saying something!!!

My wife and i have purchased shark vacuums for over 9 years. They have always been a quality product for us. The suction on this vacuum is tremendous along with its ability to clean the dirt and dust off of hardwood floors. It also seems to really clean our carpets that are constantly a mess from our three kids. We previously had a shark duo clean speed and that was slightly smaller and lighter than this one. However, maneuverability of this vacuum is great for its size and power and when you remove the canister you can get under almost any piece of furniture unless is is less than 3 inches. Last thing, this is very easy to clean and does not clog up like past vacuums either.

It is light weight, so very versatile, and so easy to switch from carpet to floor as well as using the extension hose. I no longer have to move furniture. The head is smaller and very convenient. Also it has duo brushes and the suction is fantabulous!!

First of all, I loved that I needed no tools to assemble this unit. Everything was just snap into place. I didn’t read anywhere but the unit is almost “self propelling”. The effort to push forward is minimal. The unit does most of the work. I like the blade design so that it’s self cleaning and no hair to get tangled up. The dust container capacity is on the smaller side but it forces to you empty it :)

This vacuum has great suction! Just walking up the hallway, it can pull people's crocks right off their feet! Now they know better when they approach my house a block away and hear the loud vacuum running, to guard their foot wear. The button isn't great unless you like the sensation of squishy things. It feels like I'm pushing on foam or something. Wth? The removable canister is pretty great too but it's not light so I make that time for doing curls and it all works out. I would advise you wait to buy this on sale though. Otherwise, a gym membership is probably cheaper. Not lyin, this is heavy to push around like a punk through a parking lot. You've been warned. This is my review. Best Buy, can I have my 25 reward zone points that you won't be honoring in a month, now? Thanks!

This is my second shark and I am very happy with my purchase. I rarely buy much without doing some kind of research. As the items get more expensive, my research gets more extensive. I almost bought a Dyson, but a few things swayed me toward the Shark. First, my previous Shark was a workhorse in 3300 sq ft with 4 dogs. I have used a Dyson at my workplace and they work really well. Also, I have friends who love their Dyson and the support offered by the company. These are the reasons I almost went Dyson. However, after researching the Vertex by Shark and the duo clean power fins I was intrigued. After watching many tests on Vacuum Wars (seriously, watch this guy prior to any vacuum purchase) I was persuaded to purchase the Vertex. The main reason was for the vacuum’s ability to clear hair. I was constantly breaking down previous vacuums to untangle hair and clean clogs from hoses, rollers and unimaginable places where hair got tangled. Additionally, I now only have hard floors and I was attracted to the ability of the soft roller to “polish” my floor (I have not found this to be noticeably true) as stated on some reviews. However, the rollers do a fantastic job at cleaning my hard floors and there has been ZERO hair buildup. This really cannot be overstated. The suction is plenty strong enough to pull dirt, dust and fur from grout lines and edges near walls. I am very happy with power of the Vertex and if it can maintain that power as long as my old Shark, I will be happy. The attachments are pretty typical except for the power fin roller attachment. This thing is absolutely the most useful attachment. It spins so fast from the power of the Vertex and does not get tangled. My furniture has never looked so good and clear of pet fur, this alone might he reason enough to buy this vacuum for pet owners. Some minor improvements for my preference would be to have the ability to extend the handle just a little bit. I am 6’2” and it is just a bit short. The attachments could fit a bit nicer on the vacuum itself. The only one I have attached is the crevice cleaner. The other fits awkwardly and there is no room for the third. No big deal for me as I just leave them in the closet. Also, the hose could be a bit longer for using the attachments. The cord could be another 5-10ft longer, but not a big deal as it is pretty long anyway. Also, there is no way to take apart the base for maintenance. This might not he a big deal as it seems to clear itself pretty well. Time will tell. I do wish the brushes spun a bit faster in high as I feel it would actually polish the floors. The low setting is actually the hard floor setting, but I use the high setting and just a bit faster may he beneficial. Overall, I am very haply with my purchase, but 10 years from now is when I will really know. 4 stars for the room for improvement, but a solid vacuum and most may find it to be 5 stars.
