So the sideclick complements the FTV remote by allowing you to control one or more components such as TV and sound bar. Although the buttons are preprinted with suggested commands, you can assign any action to any button. Since the FTV remote changes the channel, I programmed two different buttons to turn on/off the TV and sound bar and assigned the plus and minus buttons to control the volume. 3 remotes down to one.

what a great little gadget if you have a fire tv. make your life easy. could be cheaper

This is a great remote to declutter the coffee table. I currently have it programmed to control my television, sound bar and space heater - all of which had their own separate remote. My only ding is that it is a learn only remote meaning you need to have the original remote (or a programmed source) in order to program this. Luckily I had an old Directv remote still programmed to my tv.

I use the sideclick to control my soundbar and TV inputs. There aren't enough buttons on the sideclick to control the blu-ray player too. I wish there were a few more buttons I could program to my devices and some better way of identifying the purpose of the buttons. I have to keep a cheat sheet so that anyone using the sideclick understands which button does what.

The side kick is a good addition to the fire tv remote. One may program the side kick to complement the limited functions of the remove that comes with the fire tv stick like volume or tv power button. The set up is fairly simple. Only reason I gave it 4 stars is due to having to program several button a few times to work. But when it learned the program it was great.

So I gave 4 vs 5 stars because it's a bit tricky to save and transfer remote function. It seems that if remote function didn't get transferred for even one of the buttons then you have to start over and over and over until all are stored on the sideclick. It however, works great and easily attach to my Amazon Fire. Works much better than the previous universal remote I bought and returned.

Like many people, I tolerate 2-3 remotes to watch TV, but at some point ya gotta step up and solve the multi-remote issue. This clip-on remote is perfect. I have been able to get my TV input changer, channel changer, TV power, and my Thonet & Vander power and volume controls all on this one add-on. No more three remotes. The Fire TV and this little guy does everything now.

Very practical design and function capacity. Easy to use and set up with tv and bose soundbar

We have several Amazon Fire sticks and use this Sideclick on the TV we use the most. It was very easy to set up and program. We have it set up to switch input (source) so we don't need the TV's original remote. Not having to use two remotes is great! The combination of Fire Stick and Sideclick is really convenient for anyone cutting cable. I will be buying one for each Fire Stick.

I love this product because not I don't need my TV remote anymore. One remote does it all. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star is that it is not super easy to set up and you have to train yourself to use it, but once you get used to it; Its a great product

If you have a fire TV or fire stick this is a must have. Eliminates the need for any other remotes. (at least for simple tasks like volume/input/sleep) A huge plus is that you sink each button individually which means you can sink to multiple remotes. I have my TV power, sound bar power and volume, input, sleep, and sound bar preset channels all sinked. I rarely use my other remotes at all.

It seems a small thing but I have the fire stick in my bedroom and would watch before bed. I would have to have 2-3 separate remotes sometimes and having to fiddle through them was a pain. This alleviates them all and controls my tv, firestick, and soundbar all in one. Yes I know it's a universal remote but combining it with the amazon remote makes falling asleep so much easier.

It is so nice to have all the controls for the TV on one remote! It makes life much simpler to operate the TV, Fire stick, DVD player without having to find 3 remotes. The only thing I don't like is that there are no numbers on the remote so to change the channel, you have to scroll all the way through. Worth the money overall!

It's a great little device. Now I have my TV, sound bar and fire tv remotes all in one. You'll have 8 programable buttons to split between all your controllers.

this device is not really needed but it's cheap so if you like to hook all this kind of stuff up it's fine.

This is a great add-on device, that when coupled with the Amazon Fire TV remote, makes surfing TV more like what we're all used to having grown up with traditional cable. All necessary controls are available through the easy-to-set-up learning remote, and while it doesn't add too much size, it does so just enough to make the Amazon remote less likely to lose in the couch cushions.

The design isn’t the greatest, but it does the job. I only use it to turn on and off the tv, and adjust the volume. Now I don’t need two remotes!
