You will need internet access, but if you already have cable tv services, you can connect to your favorite networks using your tv provider credentials to stream your favorite channels.

Nice option for Infrared ONLY remotes

Unfortunately for me, I learned that my comcast cable remote uses RF as well which the sideclick does not support.

It works well and has lasted. The plastic seemed a little brittle but I have not worried about it and it has not broken. I have carpet in the living room so the occasional drops are cushioned at least but it has held up well.
