Make using my fire tv remote much easy to hold truly

My wife broke ours, had to replace. Over the years I’ve had these for Amazon Fire TV and Roku sticks - not a fan of a $30 snap-on piece of plastic, but such is life. These things offer a ton of flexibility, and are super simple to program.

Originally purchased this feeling that it would allow us to replace our cable box remote. Unfortunately it doesn't have enough buttons to cover even the most basic functions of a cable box (DVR, List, Menus, etc.) If you only need this to replace the remote for a TV, then it might work great, but don't expect much. In the end I've replaced with a phillips universal remote that incorporates our Amazon Fire TV remote into it. It was about the same price and has replaced our TV, Cable Box and Blu-ray remotes with ease.

this works great for an upgrade to any tv that isnt a smart tv.

I was shocked at how quick and easy everything was to set up. The sidekick to the remote is so helpful. I programmed the buttons to turn the TV on and control the volume of the soundbar. It makes it so much more convenient using only 1 control when watching shows on the firestick.

I was concerned that the device would not be able to learn some of my more obscure devices (a Monoprice retractable film screen and an Epson projector), but it learned everything and works perfectly. I use this sidekick along with the Fire TV remote exclusively without the need for any other remotes.

This will not do all functions of your cable remote

The device, as the company who makes this device, is excellent. Unfortunately for me, I was price with the wrong device, and I am still awaiting word to exchange this for the proper one.

The directions state that the only way to set this up is to have the original remote. Well, I lost my remote to my TV which is why I want to have a universal remote...frustrated. Going to research online to see if there's another way to get it set up.

Great great product. It's extremely easy to set up (compared to other universal-type remotes you have to pair with your TV), and it works perfectly. So nice to only need one remote control now! Incredibly minor complaint: Could have used a backlight :-)

Good for when you need to use only the older 2nd gen Fire tv remote to control the tv as well like vol, changing input sorces, and channel changes.

This is a great product to reduce clutter and provide a tool for using your TV and AVR without having to have two or more devices left out to fall between the cushions.

Do you enjoy losing remotes? This is a product for you. If you have multiple remotes lying around, having another one increases your chances of having one nearby so that you don’t have to get off the couch. Enjoy.

no complain on the product... snaps right in and no issue with paired remote for TV. Easy installation and easy "teaching" for TV remote. one issue was that shipping came on a padded envelop... crushed one of the adopter for non-voice remote. other than that, no issue.

I am absolutely thrilled to cut the cord from satellite/cable with the Firestick!!! I am loving the fact I am not paying 132+ a month for a lot of channels with nothing to watch. It takes a little getting use to, but I am not going back to the satellite/cable again!

I you only need to turn your TV on or off, or change the Volume, it is a good addition to your remote. But if you need to do more then this won't help.

This is great - it reduces my remotes down to one, you can program each key to whatever you want and its slim. I do wish it had a couple more buttons and that the buttons had identification bumps on there so you can use it at night.

The Amazon fire tv remote in itself does not have enough functions on it compared to other streaming devices. This attachment at least adds some of the basics such as power. Volume. Honestly amazon needs to improve their remote

A little pricy for a stadard IR remote. Sometimes I hit the buttons but signal never makes it to tv. Nice to only have one remote if you use firestick/firetv/roku as your primary content provider. Need original remote to program sideclick remote

Our original TV remote had not worked for a while when we found this add on for our fire tv remote. Our first one lasted just under a year before it was dropped and came apart. The second one has been great, wouldn’t want anything else.
