Poor example of what should of been a good idea.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Humm, so I am supposed to pair the module to the existing remote. Doesn't that defeat the purpose of getting the remote in the first place because there is not remote to begin with. Uhh, yeah don't waste your time. Good idea, but seemed to miss the mark.

I just don't like it.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really was hoping it was "flexible" enough so I could keep the skin on my Amazon Fire Stick. It wouldn't fit. I didn't much care for the configuration. I would rather just have a separate universal control for everything.

Wrong Item
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My elderly mother purchased the incorrect item, and I have been trying to contact the store for days now to see if I can make an exchange. No one EVER answers, and the hold time is ridiculous.

not a universal remote
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Typically universal remotes can be programmed for any TV WITHOUT the TV's original remote. So, if you plan to buy this, make sure you have the original remote.

Not my best purchase.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This remote addition does not work well with my components. The only thing I’ve gotten it to control is my sound bar volume after it has been turned on by its own remote. Would I buy again... NEVER!

Changed the Way I Watch
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Sideclick will change how you watch TV. We've moved all over the world. As a military family, we're in a new country or state every two years. Local TV can be hit and miss, and contracts for TV are a nightmare. Most recently, we gave up, and went to the Amazon Fire TV for everything. Love that, but the remotes, oh God, so many remotes! One for the TV, one for the sound, one for the Fire TV. We tried to fix it with programmable all-in-one super remotes that came with apps and touchscreens and everything. Impressive capabilities in the hundreds of dollars, and not user friendly. My wife refused to use a Harmony remote that we bough because it was too complicated (it was). Enter the Sideclick. It does everything I need it to, right with the Fire Remote. Being able to turn the tv on/off, adjust the volume, mute, set the TV sleep timer, flip between inputs without a multiple remotes or having to hook up a remote to my PC (had to do this with the Harmony remotes). This took my Amazon Fire TV from a "supplement" to our TV and made it our primary method of entertainment solely because I don't have to hassle with additional remotes! Simple to use, simple to set up, insanely affordable, and the best thing that's happened to streaming services.

Great little device for what it is
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Assuming you have a fairly simple setup, this remote works perfectly as a companion to a FireTV (in this case) or a Roku box. You can program literally any button on the source remote to this remote but you need to have the source remote to do the programming (i.e. if you lost your remote, this won't work well for you). There are only 8 buttons so you are limited in that regard. In our case, we use this in the bedroom where we got rid of a Tivo Mini and replaced with a Fire TV and Hulu Live TV (ditched Comcast). Programmed the Sideclick to power on/off the TV, change input and volume up and down. Wife loves it as it's all in one small package and not 2 separate remotes and we didn't have to spend $$$ for a universal remote that works with Fire TV.
