They seem to have strong motors in them. It is nice being able to lock the house up just by arming the security system.

Installs pretty easy; similar to other smart locks on the market. Setup was straight forward as the SimpliSafe keypad takes you through the steps (about 3). The finish is a little more plasticy than others but is actually has some heft itself; it makes it less intrusive by looks.

Its worthless without it and now we have to return and deal with an open box situation.

I got it home, after a hour for installation and modification of my door, I could not operate the lock and realized it require a simplisafe security system. gonna return and exchange for Yale lock

Avoid SimpliSafe.

I’ve had nothing but problems with their service and products. Avoid them and go with someone else. My base station has been replaced 4 times in 8 months. Just garbage products.

Works, difficult to setup.

Needed to contact support over three calls. Finally got someone in support that actually knew what they were doing and initiated the download/upgrade. Took three hours to download/install. If you want this convenience, do it. But, understand that it will take several hours to get it working. Good remote phone control.

It needs base station and keypad control besides this item. It works for an existing deadbolt lock. Wireless connectivity needs. I highly recommend it.
