First, the price is very low, if you already have the alarm system. The quality of materials and the look is very nice. Very easy to install. You do have to update the alarm software to show the lock as a device to add. Works perfectly. Auto lock feature insures your door locks if you forget. Easily view status and operate with the SimpliSafe app. For the price, it was a no brainer. SimpliSafe is a little behind some of the other brands as far as an extended number of complete home security devices. Hopefully the outdoor camera is next for them.

I just wanted something simple to use with wifi and be able to change door codes. Also, the keypad is just sticky and sticks to the outside of your door.

Posted .Sorry to hear that you received incorrect info. Through the SimpliSafe app, you can set up Self-Monitoring, with access to basic features like unlocking through the app, and changing your PINs.

I didn’t know until my husband went to install it that it requires you to use their security system. Since we already have a reputable security system, I decided that this product wasn’t for us because we aren’t changing companies.
