It randomly unlocks and now it doesn’t lock at all it just clicks. I’ve had this installed less than a month and all this has happened. Unfortunately I just got around to installing this and it’s out of return period. Do yourself a favor and do not buy this!!! I have the system it works well but this is garbage. Not cool it unlocks randomly while your sleeping and now it won’t lock at all unless you do it manually. Also it takes a few tries to unlock it due to something holding up the lock being unlocked. SAFETY HAZARD!! YOU GUYS NEED TO RECALL THIS BEFORE SOMEONE GETS HURT!!! EXPENSIVE PAPERWEIGHT THIS IS NOW.

Posted .Sorry about that. Yes, the Smart Lock is a component for the complete SimpliSafe system. You'll need at least the Base Station and a Keypad to set it up.

I recently went away on vacation. When I returned, all three of my locks were completely unresponsive. Neither the key pad nor the smartphone app would control the lock. I called SimpliSafe and waited on hold for nearly a half hour. Finally, the customer service rep was able to unlock my door. I've had other problems with SimpliSafe components, doorbell, sensor, cameras, and suggest you seriously explore other options before going with any SimpliSafe branded item.

Don’t use for Alexa. Best Buy lied to me.

You have to buy a complete other hub to go with it. And subscription to pay to use it. Do not buy this product if you’re trying to do an Alexa smart home. I ended up getting the Kwikset halo which is Alexa compatible

Its been 3 hrs with simplisafe customer care to connect Lock to simplisafe keypad and hub. It started with software update followed by calibration error which could not be solved by customer care too. Read some blogs and most of them have similar issues. Looks like product was not tested before releasing it to customers. RETURNING to store.

The lock only allows 4 passcode. It's just not worth it for the price of the entire set up that is required.
