Tech support is a joke. Second time it happened is my fault for trusting this tech. It's fine as long as you have a key hidden bc its NOT 100% reliable.

Posted .Sorry to hear if you were given incorrect info. The SImpliSafe Smart Lock installs over your existing single-cylinder deadbolt, and replaces the inside piece where the thumbturn is. If you don't have a deadbolt on your door already, you may need to purchase and install one as well.
SUBSCRIPTION REQUIRED & 200 worth of equipment

My husband installed it and is just unusable on the door as I do not need another subscription and the high cost equipment to program it. I will hopefully find a keypad lock requiring no subscription and other equipment in the near future.
