    This deadbolt and keypad are great to add to the SimpliSafe security system. It is easy to install and looks good. You can set how long before the deadbolt locks after closing your door and it is simple to unlock or lock from the keypad. I bought one for the front and back doors.

    I love this lock. It automatically locks when I arm my system for peace of mind. I love that I don't need to bring a key with me when I go on my early morning run and I don't have to worry about my kids losing their keys. Once COVID is over it will also be nice to allow pet sitters in without giving them a key. Battery life is good so far, 5 months on the originals and counting. The outdoor keypad lights up when it senses your proximity, so it is easy to see the numbers in the dark. Two minor downsides. The battery cover indoors is easy to pop off, I've done that a couple times on accident. The outdoor keypad is just stuck to the door with adhesive strips, which seems a bit janky. It is easier to install than drilling a hole in the door, but it seems less secure. It also moves a bit when punching in the code, since the adhesive strips are foam.

    No upfront communication when purchasing this item that it won’t work with out the base. Had to purchase a base seperately.
