Needed to replace my water sensor in a hurry. Great to be able to pick it up locally from Best Buy.

    water sensor false alarms

We have had SimpliSafe system for about 5 month and one of the water sensors has gone off 6-8 times and all were false alarms. Not fun in the middle of the night or when you are out of town.

Sorry to hear about that! The Water Sensor works when a conducting substance (usually water) connects the metal contacts on the bottom of the unit. It's possible that if the ground that it's on is uneven, and the surface is wet, that could be causing the false alarms. Or there might be some condensation happening as well. We would suggest wiping down the underside of those sensors with a paper towel, and perhaps moving them to a slightly different spot. SimpliSafe
