I just recently activated my free 3 month trial and so far I'm not impressed with this tuner due to the fact I lose the reception when I go under a bridge or on roads or highways with trees. It could be because the antenna is installed on the dash and not the roof of my vehicle but the directions stated to put on dashboard. I don't see why it couldn't be connected to the existing XM antenna that came on the vehicle. As of right now I wouldn't recommend this item to anyone.

The sound and reception have been perfect without any problems at all

This was the perfect addition to my new Sony stereo! I love it, I travel a lot, so its perfect because I have particular listening tastes, so it very nice to be able to listen to the style of music that I want and not have to search for a station every 50 miles! AMAZING!!!

Got one of these to integrate with my new JVC nav unit. Problem is, that this is primarily an XM-based unit (gets the XM lineup via Sirius), and if you're an existing Sirius customer, it can't be added to your existing account! Nothing in the packaging or description to indicate this. It's going back tomorrow. Arrangements are in hand for the correct item.

The XM Receiver was a snap to install and it took about 20 minutes as I already had an antenna on my Motor home.

I bought this to add onto a pioneer x5500bhs. The price online and on the store sticker was 48.99 but the register rang up 69.99. It took 20 minutes to get the manager to correct the price. Installing it was a piece of cake and took 20 minutes tops including hiding all wires. This is where the problems started. I called SiriusXM to start service and activate the free trial and the person told me this unit wasn't eligible for a free trial and hung up on me. Called back and the next person said the same thing. I called back again and the lady told me I had to go to the dealership to have them set up a free trial and hung up. Why I would go to a dealership is beyond me when I bought it from Best Buy. I was getting ready to return the unit and say forget it but I called back one more time and finally got someone who was willing to help. First she couldn't find the unit ID because the lady before activated it and didn't create my account. Then she said the same thing about the free trial but knew there was a discrepancy and would look into it. She came back and said "Yes Best Buy and other stores are offering a 3 month free trial but SiriusXM does not acknowledge those, however she would speak to her supervisor and try and honor it". They finally agreed to honor the trial for 3 months and got the radio ID issue sorted out. After literally 3 1/2 hours I finally got this thing working with a 3 month trial of the all access subscription. The good is there's tons of good channels. The bad though is the antenna is kind of weak. I have it mounted on the roof just above the rear window and if I go under anything it cuts out. It wont even try and find a channel in my garage with the door open and the car pulled in front first.

I upgraded from a stock stereo with a XM Roadie external unit, having to play through radio frequency. Having a hardwired XM tuner with a new head unit was a much needed upgrade.

Great sattelite radio reception. No issues receiving a reception at all.

This is a great product, hides inside the dash and works well, my only complaint is that although it states Sirius all over the packaging, it will only accept XM subscriptions so if you have a Sirius subscription, be aware that using this product will change that. Other than that, great product.

Easy install. It's plug and play so not much to go wrong.

Works perfectly. However, the audio quality isn't too hot. I'm sure that the tech will advance in the future and satellite reception and decoding will eventually be HD.

I am really enjoying the radio tuner as it brings mostly commercial free programming in areas I really like

if you love music, them you need to get XM Radio, it's like having a multi disc changer built into your dash

Its part of the package you need to use the radio. There is no choice in the matter

The siriusxm company since merging into one has become very misleading with it's products. Although they are now one company there is still seperate equipment and thanks to their packaging it is next to impossible to determine which is which. Also the knowledge of the best buy staff concerning the way the equipment works with the subscriptions is below par.

so far i like it ! but there are alot of channels i would never listen to.
