Customer support answer is to resend the setup signal, numerous times. They don’t seem to want to listen to the user about the problem.

Also, the 'Music Only' package, which is the cheapest per month, lists over 80 channels, but in reality there are only about 20 (For this package) - In my opinion, this was a complete waste of money, and I would not recommend this to anyone I know ...

Posted .Sorry you had this experience with the SiriusXM Connect tuner. It sounds like the antenna was not installed outside the vehicle on the roof or trunk lid (if convertible) as recommended. Unlike GPS (GPS signals also gets blocked by metal) which has 30 satellites located in various orbits making it easier to receive the signal from a variety of angles, there are only 3 SiriusXM satellites in a fixed orbit around the equator. Your antenna needs to have a clear view of the satellites to receive the signal. If you re-install the antenna on the roof, you will have great reception.
Good tuner but can't redeem code

Read on forums that a lot of people have the same issue.

I was not told about this in advance. Instead it was mounted on the dashboard, it works well if the vehicle is pointed in certain directions, if not it doesn't work at all

They should sell this with out the antenna, as it should make it cheaper as well as I have no use for it. You can buy a 10 dollar adapter to use with you factory installed antenna which now days most newer cars have.

But to install the antennae he placed it under my weather strip. Now my truck leaks. Huge pond on the floorboards. Not happy

Had to purchase this to continue to get SiriusXM. Geek Squad connected this to my factory XM antenna (long story, multiple trips, amazon purchases and additional cost getting that to happen) and it's horrible. I constantly lose signal, and am very unhappy. Chatted with and then had to call Geeksquad support and was told a Supervisor would call me to follow up, but still nothing.

Posted .So sorry you had this experience with the product. Not sure what year, make, model vehicle you have, but we really never recommend using the factory antenna. The main reason is that deepening on the vehicle and the technology used XM or Sirius and the year of the antenna, the technology has evolved. In addition, the adapters needed to convert the FAKRA OEM antenna connector to the SMB connector that the SXV300 requires can cause issues as well- extra cables/connections can cause loss in signal quality. The antenna that comes with your SXV300 SiriusXM Connect Tuner uses the latest technology and design elements that are tuned specifically to the satellite constellation as well as includes filters to better reject LTE and other interfering signals that were likely not present when your factory car antenna was designed. If you install the NGVA3 antenna properly (external and on the roof) , you will notice a much improved experience with far less muting.
