Not needed First installer promised my stock SM antennae would work. Then another installer called and claimed I needed to buy another part for my existing antennae to work with my new stereo- NOT- he was just lazy and sold me another antennae-installed on my dash! Looks horrible...

The installer refused to do the installation. The installer wasn't very good. What good is it to offer a product if you can't get it installed?

Not sure if the tuner is having problems with my head unit or if the reception is bad in my area for satellite.

Very disappointed with the satellite reception on this after maker device. My previous car has an antenna on the roof of the vehicle and only lost reception when in parking garages. This one loses reception when near trees, poles, or randomly in unimpeded locations. I’ll have to get the antenna moved from the dashboard to another location such as the roof and post an updated review afterwards.

I have had Sirius since they launched the first rocket. I have always had a plug and play unit. I decided to put it I'm my cay as part of an in dash unit. I was greatly shocked to find out it is an XM unit and not Sirius. I lost a lot of channels I loved. I would have to pay more now to get the lost channels. Best Buy should make it clear that this unit is a dedicated XM unit. Had I known, I would have kept my old plug amd play and saved $300.

It’s absurd that a unit sold as Satellite Ready, needs an additional piece of hardware to enable. Further more, to not be told about it until you show up for your installation appt just kinda sucks

Older Sirius-Ready, XM-Ready or SAT Radio Ready car or marine stereos used many different types of connectivity solutions that were all slightly different depending on the brand. The generation of those types of radios ran from 2001~2010ish and the supporting tuners and adapters were discontinued around that same time. You may be able to find a tuner that works online ( so if you had a Clarion Marine radio as example, you would look for a Clarion SIR-CLA1 interface and Sirius SC-C1 tuner - if the radio is Sirius-Direct, you would just need the SC-C1 tuner) From 2010 and up, all the car and marine stereos use the SiriusXM-Ready solution- which is a common connector and a single SiriusXM-Tuner without the need for any other special adapters or cables to connect to the car stereo. It’s probably a 5 star product but the reason I gave it 1 is install guy said it’,wouldn’t work in my 2020 Kia Rio s Funny thing is before I ordered it online I asked in chat if it was compatible with my car and they said yes!! So I suppose the perso that answers the online questions should get the 1 star!!

Sorry but your factory Kia Radio radio does not have a SiriusXM connector. The SXV300 is designed to work with aftermarket replacement radios that have the SiriusXM-Ready logo on them. However, there is an adapter from a company called Vais Technologies that can adapt the SXV300 tuner and allow your Kia Rio radio to control it. Can't get it to work

That's just it. I can't get it to work. The radio plays the Sirius XM Preview channel music ON ALL CHANNELS. Meanwhile, the timeclock on my subscription just keeps ticking away. I have tried 4 times to get the radio to respond to the signal the Sirius people send out. Nothing. Currently they are blaming the installer. I keep thinking, "I paid extra for this? Why?" I would give it zero stars but that doesn't seem to be an option.
