Good receiver. Works as expected. Easy install with aftermarket radio and factory xm antenna.

I had this unit installed with my Kenwood DNX572BH. It works very well, or at least as much as satellite radio can work in an automobile. The antenna was able to be installed safely on the trunk lid of my 2008 Pontiac G6 hard top convertible. That was a concern of the Geek Squad tech who did the install but he did an awesome job.

I had Geek Squad connect my Sirius XM satellite radio vehicle tuner which allows me to connect to the Sirius signal. I have a strong signal with this tuner and can receive all of the signals that's offered. We are very satisfied with the installation. All wiring is hidden from sight. Pleased with another job well done by the Geek Squad !!!

This part is for when your car is already Sirius/XM radio capable and you just need to activate it (thus why its the tuner) for the first time. The part is installed and connected to the back/inside of your car’s radio. It’s important to know this is not the part you get if your car’s radio is NOT compatible. This worked great for me and gives me great reception

Simple straight forward easy install. No need to run power or ground to it just find a location outside the car for the Antenna run the wire for it into the car to your radio plug it into the receiver plug the receiver into your radio call SiriusXM activate the receiver and done.

If you have Sirius/ XM on factory radio and upgrading head unit, or have an aftermarket unit and want Sirius you don't have a choice and need this adapter. Well that's not 100%, there are exterior options but who wants that? I also ended up getting the Maestro OEM antenna adapter which made the install that much easier and cleaner using the existing antenna on the vehicle and not the stick on one that came with the package. This is not a pricey unit, but does add some cost to overall head unit upgrade.

I needed this to install XM on my new radio in my 06 Silverado. The good news was that you can modify the OEM antenna plug to slip right into this adapter, so no need to run a new satellite antenna. Google it, just pop off the OEM antenna adapter then it will connect to the new adapter, put a dab of glue to hold it and you're done and get to reuse the factory antenna.
