    little more spotty then the factory installed SirusXM. Don't understand why you have to use this in place of the factory one when neither are built into the stereo itself. When the stereo you are looking at says "XM capable" That's exactly it. but not included.

    We bought a new Sony radio for our 2011 Chevy Avalanche. Having 80s on 8 on SiriusXM is important for our long trips back and forth to Maine. This plugged in easily to the Sony radio and with some help from YouTube, we were able to use the original XM radio antenna.
