When the Geek Squad tech came out to install the spot light, I was told I don't need the Solar Panel at all because the Spotlight is hard-wired.

There is so much movement where this is mounted the battery doesn’t last. So I’m adding the solar panel. I’m hoping to extend the life of the battery by 6 months.
