The solar panel for the Ring spotlight camera that is battery operated is working well.

Great buy for anyone needing to put a camera in a location that would be hard to do a wire install. I thought about buying a 2nd battery but decided to purchase the solar panel for $20 dollars more than the battery. Definitely worth not having to take it apart and charge it! I have one battery in my cam and it was down to 18% battery life when I installed the solar panel. Within 2 days it was at 100%. I have it on the side of my house where it gets 3-4 hours of sun everyday when the sun sets and has stayed fully charged. I highly recommend this panel in lieu of additional batteries! Great product for the price!

Needed an option for my back dock Ring camera that would solve replacing batteries every few months. This solar panel works great! It has a very long extension cord so you can place it where the sun shines the most around your house. It's also very easy to mount and comes with hardware.

Solar panel really helps to not have to charge or have the camera hardwired.

this is a must when you have an outdoor ring camera, i wish cameras came with their own solar panel, but still, it works really well and keeps my cameras at 100%

This works wonderfully. Basically peace of mind. Don't have to worry about charging the battery every few weeks. Yay!

I didn’t feel like climbing up a ladder every few weeks or months to replace rechargeable batteries and having cameras off waiting to charge. Also didn’t want to pay for a second battery to prolong the climb. Good reviews from BestBuy and other sites online. Bought the 2 pack Ring Spotlight, so ended up buying two solar chargers. Charged the batteries included with the cameras and then installed. The backyard camera started with around 85% battery. After a day with the solar panel connected to the camera the battery was charged up to 100%! Second camera was installed above garage. This side of the house gets less sunlight the backyard. So after a few days the battery was dropped from 85% to 65%. Thought I got a dud wit this one. I decided to leave it up a few more days until my day off. Checked the Ring app and was surprised to see both Cameras at 100%! It just needed a chance to prove its worth. Now the connector that plugs into the camera didn’t have the extra piece (plastic wings) to connect to the back of the camera. Looked around online to make sure I didn’t buy the wrong solar panel. Looked like the pictures on the instructions are for an older panel. 10th

This is the second one we have purchased and it does not get any easier. We have sun and shade but it still provides a great charge for our Ring Security System.

These have saved us time, not having to climb up and down a ladder to charge the batteries of our outdoor cameras. However we’ve had to replace one that stopped charging our battery for some reason, after about a year. They are easy to install and not a bad price for the quality

I had purchased the battery powered Spotlight and used it for a few weeks. While the battery does last a decent amount of time it is difficult for me to remove and charge based on the mounting location. I went back to Best Buy and purchased this solar panel and I am so glad I did. It was very easy to install and works perfectly for recharging the battery. I live in Wisconsin and the sun is lower in the sky during the winter and I was concerned it would not charge. My panel was installed for this last winter and it worked just fine. High recommended!

Got tired of charge camera batteries, bought this and been over a year. Works great, no more charging. Let the natural sunlight do it.

This has been a great addition to our Ring Security System. Could not be happier. Provides a nice charge & I’ve convinced the neighbors to do the same.

I got tired of putting a ladder up every time my camera battery was about to die just to take it apart and charge it. This solar panel was connected and mounted in about 3 minutes. The wire is long enough to mount the panel to catch Sun-light outside of any overhang or porch and it keeps my battery charged between 90%-100% depending on the temperature. You wont regret this purchase at all!

Easy to install, nothing to do but put it up and plug it in. The thought of having to go out in the winter and take the battery out, charge it then go back out in the cold to re-install the battery is worth the investment. I have 1 of these facing due-east and the other facing due-west and they keep the cameras charged without worry. I live in NE Ohio and these have kept the cameras charged on the cloudiest, short winter days so far.

Please read my reviews under the hardwired ring doorbell as well as the ring Camera because all of the information cross-references. I purchased this charging solar panel so that I only have to use the one battery that comes with my camera and I don't have to worry about downtime and security breaches with having the battery run out of charge which then takes a full 6 hours to recharge! With the solar panel I have my One (1) battery that came with my camera installed even though there is space for two (2) batteries only one is needed and this solar panel is supposed to continue to keep the charge up to the correct level of operation for the camera. The solar panel comes with quite a long cord that does attached directly to the back of the camera so it doesn't have to be mounted right nearby even though I chose mine to be that way and have it angled hopefully for the best Sun range.

This is the coolest gadget when you don't want to have to worry about charging your cameras. It works perfectly & my camera never goes down.
