I picked this up as a replacement for my living room to move another existing Sony receive to my gaming area for additional HDMI ports on that unit. I was originally looking for a slightly cheaper model that was discontinued, but an employee on the floor recommended this unit as it was the replacement for the unit i was looking for, but it hadn't officially been released yet. Given my prior experience with Sony receivers I figured I would pick this one up even though I hadn't done any research on it. So far it has been working well minus the unit muting itself automatically when turning on occasionally. I think it has to do with the order that items are turned on between the TV, receiver or source. Hitting the volume or mute button resolves the issue.

My mother in law got this and was simple to set up. Not very much to it. Its pretty simple and can be done in 15 min if you know what your doing. I like the Bluetooth option that's a big plus for music and such. But the down side is the lack of sound processing the unit has.

You get what you pay for. The onscreen menue is clunky, and setup mic does not work...

The receiver is awesome. I like that it will automatically turn on and off when you turn on or off a component,

I don't know or understand technology very well but I do know I like this reciever because it's easy to use.

This receiver has all the audio options that you can Asfoor and a great output I would recommend it to anyone

This receiver does everything I needed it to and has room for expansion. I'm very happy with my purchase.

Needed to replace my 1998 receiver in the garage and I've always had Sony receivers plus my friend has this model so I know it was good. Works perfectly. Bluetooth is nice to have too. Didn't hook up the tv to it via hdmi, so setting the radio stations was as easy but other than that, I love it.

Idea for the person who likes using individual components for their listening pleasure

This is a great basic amp works perfectly if you do not need to power to many speakers

Bought this receiver to replace one that had died. It was very easy to set up and get connected to my TV, satellite, Blue ray player and CD player. Took about 20 minutes overall including attaching my surround sound system speakers. Set up was a breeze including balancing the sound for the room.

I was told this could do multiroom but it is only A/B so not multizone like I was looking for. This is for a basement system that I wanted to feed the bar area with a separate input. Happy with it except the no multizone. Good unit for the price. Easy set up
